This is not a very good Ross store. I always like Ross but not this outlet. The layout is similar to Winners. The store is on the smallish side. Things are laid out pretty neatly. Selection is sparse. The toiletries section is a bit dodgy. I bought some notebooks and chocolates from Ghirardelli and Lindt. There is a nice selection of flavors which are not commonly found in supermarkets. The elderly cashier is as what many Yelpers have reviewed - grumpy and rude - and totally ruined the shopping experience.

I find that this Ross is smaller than the other Ross I have been to. Or maybe its the layout. It is very spacious to walk in. I was looking at the makeup and hair product section and it looks pretty messy and some of the stuff looked like it was leaking or someone touched it. Oh well. I didn't pick up any of those stuff. Clothing is a bit outdated. But it is Ross so no complains on outdated clothing. I managed to pick up some Ghirardelli Chocolate here. It was the blueberry dark chocolate which I rarely see at store. I guess its a hit and miss here. If you are looking for good deal, you will need to have time to spend here.

Messy and lots of areas missing items (cleared shelves). Cashier cold at first but warmed up.

The…read moreinteraction with one staff member, Susan, felt awkward and uncomfortable--it almost felt like an interrogation. She asked if my friend and I were related because of the same-household rule. This seemed harmless at first, but when we explained that we were just friends, she responded with an "uhhh mmm, okay" tone that felt odd and dismissive, almost like we were lying. Considering every past World Market I've been to, staff would say "congratulations" or "nice job" instead of giving off that vibe. Susan mentioned she's had issues with families all getting one, but then another staff member, Ryan i believe, clarified the rule was about household--not relation. This left us confused, because hypothetically, had we been sisters, there's no way to know if we lived in the same household or not. The question of asking us if we were related could've been resolved after checking our IDs, which is required anyway to claim the prize--and she could've seen we didn't have the same last name. She could also have phrased the question better--asking if we lived in the same household rather than if we were related--rather than making assumptions based on our appearance. On top of that, she asked us three times where we found our eggs, and i genuinely feel like one answer should've been enough. We've participated in egg and Christmas hunts at other World Market locations in the past, and this kind of questioning has never happened to this extent. The way I was treated didn't feel fair or professional, and it made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. I found Susan, well...annoying. The only positive was Richard or Robert (someone named like that), who was kind and helpful, which we appreciated. Still a cute event, but the communication and approach this time left a lot to be desired.

This is probably the worst shop and customer service I have encountered in my life…read more I received a gift card for Utopia as a gift, and decided to use it today. However, the staff there told me there was no record of the gift card and claimed the gift card did not exist in the system after checking some index card file she had at the desk. She then questioned the origins of the card and told me to go get a receipt for the purchase of the gift card. Why do I need to present a receipt for the gift card I received as a gift? This was so laughably outrageous that I left. Don't patronize this shop, they take the cash from gift card sales and refuse to honor the gift card when you try to redeem it. It is a total scam. They take your money and pretend the gift card doesn't exist. I would not recommend even setting foot in this unreasonable store.

I bought one of their bunk beds (from Costco as I recall) over 16 years ago, and have moved, disassembled, and re-assembled it many times since. The design is smart and sturdy, and it is simple and fast to disassemble and re-assemble, even simpler than smaller items like chairs and coffee tables I have purchased from competitors. During my last move, the movers lost some of the hardware for the bed. I called these guys up (16 years later, mind you), and they knew exactly what bed I had and sent me the missing hardware via first class mail to my home in California so I could get back to reassembling the bed and settling in to my new house! Compare this to the experience folks are used to these days with fly-by-night online sellers who may not be in existence a few months later, much less answering the phones and supporting their products after nearly two decades. This level of stability and integrity is how business was done in the old days, and this experience has not only drawn me back to Epoch's product line, but encouraged me to think critically about where I source my other products. Purchase your furniture from these guys. Their quality and service are both top notch.

The selection was great, they had all sorts of things from home decor, kitchen, bedding, really anything, all was good and decent pricing. I found a great deal of a set of knives for just $26, and it was a steal! Some things were even locked up which was surprising, like literally blankets or bed sheets were needed for assistance. The place itself was MESSY. There was boxes on the ground that workers were unloading (i'd assume they unload after people leave/before the store opens) but no they were doing it right in the middle of a section, pretty inconvenient and messy. There were also random carts full of stuff from workers that were left abandoned and took SO much space. Home goods is already small and squished, no need for random carts to be in the middle of things. I do still prefer to shop here because it feels better than spending at a big box store but it also didn't take much research to discover Pacific Topsoils is owned by GRO-Well Brands, which is itself a conglomerate and by no means a local or small business, which I've seen some reviews assume. Service wise, it all depends on who you talk to and what mood they're in. Recently, I called to check on a product and the young man who answered brusquely said they didn't have it, so I caved and ordered it from Amazon. Then, I went to pick up some plants and discovered they had what I'd called about. I told the older gentleman who was ringing me up about the exchange and he somewhat rudely just said, "well, we always have that in stock," like I should've known, not the other employee who should've known. On the other hand, he did put out a call for someone to help me with the several bags of soil I ordered and a friendly young gal answered. She had clearly been working hard all morning but she wa so helpful and asked if there was anything else she could help me with before she left to assist another customer she noticed.
