This company is horrible! I had a total bathroom remodel. The end results were disturbing and ugly. I had bathroom done at the end of Sept 2022. I am still waiting for them to fix everything. They have tried on several occasions to fix the vanity ( all drawers are crooked)not align as they should. They want to redrill the hole to make the faces of drawers straight but thats it.And in the process of the remodel they bent the pipe on my radiator which is my heat source. The radiator now leaks and ruined the new floor they just laid. At first they were very apologetic and said they would pay for the repairs. Now they are claiming that they didn't do the damage. I have receipts from my hvac company stating they were just out at beginning of Sept for full system inspection and states there were no leaks or bent pipe. Unique homes still will not help resolve the damage they caused. I have a bbb claim at this point but seems useless. This company also offers 100% guarantee that the customer will be completely satisfied or they refund the sale price - wrong - they do not stand behind their work or guarantees. These are only a couple of main issues and there is a Ling list of repairs due to poor workmanship they did. This company is not consumer friendly, once they have your money - they are done with you & don't care if their services are horrible. Run away from this company... We had such a terrible experience with Unique Home Solutions. From the moment Russ set foot on my parents property, the lies began. My dad referred him to me for a roof estimate, I sent him to my brother in law, who referred to his neighbor. If they had any business scruples at all, they could have sole 4 roofs and maybe 2 siding jobs. The worst part is that I gave the office my phone number to correspond. I have been working to get a quote on my roof since before my now husband even moved into my home, so I knew all the details. Somehow, they had my husbands phone number and basically demanded to speak only to him. I confronted the office lady (Judy?) and she was miffed at first, but eventually pretended to be shocked and swore they weren't sexist. The quote was outrageous. We just had a beautiful roof installed by a professional courteous crew and a non-pushy salesman. Uniques quote was more than 3x what I just paid. Don't trust this company. read more

We had siding installed about 3 years ago. The crew that installed the siding was efficient and cleaned up all materials. This week we had two places where the siding pulled loose after the high winds experienced around Christmas. The company sent out a crew within hours of our call! Thank you Paul and Juan! I was set up with an appointment and a 20% off coupon. The design consultant they sent to our house was very knowledgeable! I received many discounts and a very reasonable price! I am impressed with the quality and quickness they installed everything in ONE DAY!! My bathroom is now my favorite place in the entire house! Don't walk, RUN far as you can from this company. I would NOT recommend Unique Home Solutions. During our consultation Dave came out to the house to explain the windows they use and their functions. We were told it would be a two hour presentation and he ended up being here for four. He sold us the windows on all the perks they offered. We were told we would be getting the same size and style windows all around but we had to purchase a trim kit for the bathroom which was fine and that we would lose a little bit of the window ledge. The bathroom ledge stayed the same but I lost INCHES in my kitchen window where I keep most of my plants and now have no place for them. After installation everything seemed great until it wasn't. We could no longer fit our AC units in the new windows. We do not have central air and the two units kept the house between 63-65 degrees. Once the installers were done we had to go to Home Depot and spend over $1,000 on portable air conditioners. Two of them at 8,000 BTU temperature of 60 degrees can not cool down my 980sq ft house. At this point I would rather keep my windows open and sweat it out instead of raising my electric bill These windows are not keeping my house cooler I would be so much happier with my drafty living room window than be stuck with this nonsense. To top everything else off I found soo much trash in my backyard leftover from the installer. I filled a snack size ziplock bag with spray foam, a piece of siding a bunch of pieces of flashing, a single nail and a piece of glass. We found one of the silvers of flashing in our dogs foot which luckily we were able to pull out and not have to take him to the ER vet. Now my house is hotter than it ever was and I now have to worry about my dogs every time I let them outside in fear they will step on something else About a week and a half after installation Dave came over unannounced while only my husband was home. This company's prices are double what you would be paying for similar material and installation. Just found out they charged $8000 for a steel door and two screen doors for my parents. My wife priced out the same work and materials (she works for a home builder) and cost was a little less than half that. Rip off. Even worse: my parents are in their mid-eighties. I had my existing windows installed by Window Systems. I got a letter from Unique saying they would now service current Window Systems customers. So I had a salesman out for a quote on replacement windows, as my windows were more than 30 years old. He took measurements and gave me the usual high pressure sales pitch. I told him not to do the glass/heat lamp demo as I had seen it before. I'm an engineer. I understand infrared transmission thru glass. The bottom line? $40,000 for replacement windows and a sliding glass door! $8000 for the door alone! $4800 for a single window! I explained I was retired and on a fixed income. "Too bad. No discount." Senior citizen? AARP? "Nope". Not even the usual "discount that's only good until I walk out the door." Fast forward one year. I had another window company come out and give me a quote on the same windows and door. The cost? $17,000! Less than half of what Unique wanted! Last month, I had the sliding glass door replaced. Cost? $2500. Less than 1/3 of the cost that Unique quoted me. High prices do not necessarily mean good quality or good workmanship. read more

Horrible company! Contact them only if you like high-pressure sales tactics and ongoing phone calls! Got their name from Angie's List. Called for one of the several estimates I planned on getting for gutters. Their phone process was a fiasco! Waaaay too much time giving information THAT THEY DO NOT NEED. Then after all that, they wanted to transfer me to yet another department, ostensibly to "get directions to the house". Told them to use a map app. They called me MULTIPLE TIMES saying they needed to talk about the directions. I recognized the 2 different phone numbers and did not answer. (Plus, they wanted me to "allow 90minutes to talk". Right then I knew it was going to be a high-pressure sell, but was willing to hear their estimate.) The guy never even showed up for the estimate, nor did they bother to call with that courtesy! I used Brad Smith Roofing, and they showed up each time they said they would, for the estimate, to talk with my general contractor about specifics, and to double -check on progress. Three months later, and long after the job was completed beautifully by Brad Smith Roofing, I am STILL GETTING CALLS from this shady group: no messages. We went to a game at the Q and shame on us, entered into a raffle for $ off on windows from Unique Solutions. If it hadn't been for Zen Windows, I would have been scarred for life by this experience. We got a call saying they can send out someone to discuss their windows and after giving them measurements, we asked for a ballpark estimate so that we both wouldn't be wasting each other's time. We understood that they'd prefer to come out to our house so we did the meeting. We spent 4 hours after work discussing windows - only to find out the price was 4x over the price we had comparables of. The sales guy then offered a "deal", lowering it to 2x the price it should have been. All in all, it was a waste of time and very draining - even though we were plenty serious about getting windows done. Periodically, we will still get calls 2 years later asking if we would like our windows done. Um, no. Blocked. We went with Zen Windows and could not be happier with their service, care and quality. read more

Sales people seemed nice enough. I was looking for a quote for gutters guards. When they called to confirm the appointment for a quote, they started asking very specific question; to make sure someone was on-site who could make decisions beyond a quote. They told me they would need 90 minutes of my time to give me a quote, which in my mind means having to sit through some lengthy and unnecessary presentation. I told the person on the phone that I could give them 45 min. In response, I was told that I'd better clear out my schedule for 2-2.5 hours because it could go long. So I said "I need a price, not a presentation and if you can't do that in 45 minutes maybe this isn't a good fit." In response I was told not to expect anyone over for a quote, which is fine by me. I can't speak on their work because I'd need to have my head examined if I accepted their estimate for gutters. They were the 3rd estimate I got for my home and they were $9,000 higher than my next highest estimate. The next highest estimate was $2,500 and Unique Home Solutions was $11,500!! How is that even possible??? Their representative said they have a 25 year warranty. I could have new gutters installed every 5 years for the next 25 years and would still save money over using this company! How can their pieces of aluminum be $9,000 better than the other guys pieces of aluminum?? I would have laughed if it was $5,000 and they more than doubled that! My husband and I set aside a day, and two gents came and made us very informed of all of our options. We needed gutters bad, our basement was leaking every time it rained and I was sure it was because our gutters were overflowing and not draining! We had had enough! I am sure this company does very good work and I have to say that the 2 people that were at my house were very nice and professional. With that said, after I told the salesman that I would think about it and get back to them if I were to be interested due to the quote being extremely high, my wife and myself have received 6 phone calls each from them in 2 days. Shortly after our windows were installed by Larmco they went out of business. Unique Home Solutions acquired the Larmco warranty contracts. After THREE (3) years and THREE (3) Service calls with UHS, they were unable to determine for certain the cause of our drafty windows. Paid $75 for the first service call. The drafty windows required plastic covers be installed during the cold months. Last UHS service call, their technician suggested it might be faulty installation; however, they refused to do the work and referred me to the window manufacturer. The technician from the window manufacturer ($300 charge) took one look at the windows and showed us proof of faulty installation. UHS refused to refund the $75 service fee or expense of the the materials for installation of plastic covers as compensation for their poor business abilities and customer inconvenience and aggravation! While their personnel are very pleasant, they are not very knowledgeable. Had they identified the problem at the first service call three years ago, we would definitely be warmer now. Larmco warranty does not include installation - so we will be shelling out even more money to have the windows re-installed! read more
