One of the greatest traditions with my kiddos is finding a cool little place to have a sweet treat. This place did not disappoint one bit. We have been there twice now and each time we were greeted by the most friendly woman. She is the owner and I don't think I caught her name but she has the most awesome personality. The ice cream/gelato is on another level. The chimney cones is to die for. Everything was perfect. This is the third time we visited from San Diego to this ice cream spot. We visited because we enjoyed the Gelato but to our surprise we were disappointed with the owner. We were a group of 5 people and we were tasting the ice cream flavors and barely had tasted 5 or 6 of them in total and he's was like no more tasting. We were shocked because he just let us taste 1 flavor per person. He was very rude. Also, he was running a scam where he had given us a reward card where you get a free ice cream after the 5th purchase and we had 2 stamps already and this time when we went to get out 3rd stamp he randomly made a rule that you need to buy at least 3 scoops per person. Even though me and my wife had bought 2 and 1 scoops per person he was like - "you need to buy 3 scoops per person". No where in the card this rule was written and never was this ever mentioned to us before. We had gotten our stamps earlier with just 2 scoops and now he changed the rule and is not honoring the system. When we asked him about it, he rudely responded that " I'm the owner and I printed the card". We were shocked and baffled by his response. Disappointing place and please don't go here. PS- we drove 60 mins from San Diego just to come here to feel disappointed. We will make sure none of our friends visit this place again. read more

I love finding new spots around town to check out- so when I was driving down Jefferson a few weeks ago & saw a sign for chimney cakes, I knew I would have to check it out one day as an after school treat! Absolute new favorite shop in town! We've been twice and plan to return many many times. Homemade gelato that is FULL of flavor and because it's made with milk...it's not full of fat. Every single flavor has been like crazy delicious. We now just get two pints and take it home to enjoy for a couple days. The chimney cakes are wonderful too. The reviews are every bit true!! This place has amazing gelato. My husband and I went in about a half hour before they closed on a Sunday and they were unfortunately out of the cone pastries. The owner was such a sweetheart and invited us back to try the cones. It's kind of one of those things where they make a batch and then if they run out so late in the day, they don't make any more. Wanted to try a new ice cream spot so stumbled upon this place. It is a bit tucked away not hard to find. The owner was very nice he does all the gelato himself. He had some "unique" flavors that he rotates. He also makes these chimney cake cones that you can put your 2 small scoops of gelato in and also choose a flavor for those cones. I ordered 2 chimney cake cones with 2 scoops at 12 dollars each which is a but pricey. I think these cones are definitley better fresh as mine was a bit dry, this one was the walnut flavored cone which had lavender gelato which was very subtle probably the best lavender ice cream Ive had. We got another cone which was cinnamon sugar which had a much better texture more yeasty and chewy just wish he hit it with a bit of heat to make it toasty. That has grape flavor and chocolate for the kids. I love his gelato the flavors are very balanced and not overly sweet and might give the chimney cakes a second chance in the near future. read more

Actually found this place because I missed my turn for the parking lot of Starbucks. I am so very glad I did. They have chimney cakes and before them to get had to go all the way up to Anaheim. They're making a fresh batch of them right now as I'm having an affogato over the pannacotta gelato. The use Illy coffee and the gelato is ridiculously good. The people are friendly and I just can't stop trying everything. It it has this little cafe feel and there is indoor/outdoor seating. I think I have a new hangout spot. read more
