I brought back a pair of pants that had been hemmed and looked great, but just didn't feel comfortable when I wore them. I was worried I was asking too much since I'd already been in a few times about these pants, but Ping couldn't have been more understanding. She insisted on letting them back out while I was there, even though it was near closing time. She also noticed a jacket I had and tightened the buttons on that too--again, on the spot. She was so kind, accommodating, and generous with her time, and she wouldn't even let me pay. That level of care and customer service is rare. Ping truly stands behind her work and wants her customers to be comfortable and happy. If you're looking for expert tailoring with exceptional service, Lee's Tailors is the place. Their pricing is inconsistent and seems to change depending on who you are or how they're feeling that day. As well as items not being seamed together and matched properly. I'm always asked to stay and wait and sit longer or to come back later that day or another day and they still don't provide a discount despite their errors. Most recently, I brought in four small blankets to be stitched together. Each blanket only cost me about $5. At the time of drop-off, they told me they were too busy to give a quote, so I specifically asked them to call me with the price before starting work. I never received a call, voicemail, or any form of communication. When I returned, I was shocked to be told the total was $74--more than three times what I paid for all the materials combined. When I questioned it, the owner lied & insisted he had called me, which simply isn't true. Then instead of addressing the issue professionally, he became dismissive, telling me it was "in the past" and brushing off my concerns. Any time I tried to explain how inappropriate and frustrating the situation was, he acted like he didn't understand me like he didn't understand English, which made the interaction even more upsetting. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of tailors who are more transparent, professional, and respectful of their customers. Would give 0 stars if possible!

Over the years, I have brought them multiple suits annually because I like my suits tailored to fit a certain way. My work requires me to wear suits regularly, so tailoring is not occasional for me; it is a necessity. Unfortunately, recent experiences have made it difficult to continue supporting this business. My biggest concerns are inconsistent pricing, overpricing, and poor communication. On one visit, a hem may cost one price, and the next time the price is different. Recently, I brought in three suits, one of which needed to be rushed. I was charged $40 for the rush service, which I paid because I needed the suit quickly. The following month, however, the price had doubled. I also often wear three-piece suits and like to have a pocket added to the vest. This time, I was quoted $50 to add one pocket using leftover fabric from the pants. I pointed out that just a few months earlier, the same alteration had cost $35, which I gladly paid. This time, I declined. The last straw came when I was told that two of my suits would be ready on May 2. When I arrived, the pants were not ready. I was told the pins had fallen off and that I needed to try them on again to be measured. In a very casual and dismissive manner, I was told to wait 15 minutes and the pants would be ready. I waited. As I was leaving, the gentleman attempted to give me $5 for the inconvenience--after I had spent $395 to have three suits altered. After more than a decade as a loyal customer, that was disappointing. They have seen me for the last time. I will be looking for another professional tailor--preferably one with clearly posted prices and more consistent customer service. I am not sure what has changed at Advance Tailors, but it feels as though their success may have gone to their heads. Think twice before using them. They have not only mastered the art of tailoring, also the art of bait and switch. I After 10 years, I will not be returning.

Nadia and her assistant seamstress knew exactly what to do. They took in the sides above the waist, sewed the V-neck closed in a flattering and modest way, tightened the elastic in the sleeves making them drape nicer, and cleverly added stiff netting inside the sleeves at the shoulder to make them pouf better. The dress fit perfectly and accentuated my figure. My husband and I were very pleased with the alterations. Nadia was very pleasant and professional. She will be our go-to tailor/seamstress from now on!

I submitted the info but BPC has customer phone numbers and claim numbers on their system. Again - this FAILURE to resolve the matter has continued for more than six months and over 17 visits to resolve the matter! The next stop is Small Claims Court if the claim is not satisfied by 4/1/2026.

However, the state of North Carolina sent someone to the business to ensure they know it's against the law and inspected the location for misleading signs/information. In order to get me to remove my complaint, owner offered me a free meal at his restaurant. There's a reason why the business only has two stars out of five after numerous reviews. You may want to think twice before using this business.

I was SHOCKED and HORRIFIED!! I did not ask for anything to be done to the sleeves! Then she acted like she did not speak English and could not understand what I was upset about. I then WAITED in the dressing room in my underwear while she put my long lace sleeves back on and hemmed the dress to the correct length!! Funny how she was able to hem it in minutes when I was so upset and waiting in her dressing room in my underwear! Also funny that she suddenly understood English when I told her I was not leaving until my dress was right. I refused to leave my dress with that awful woman for one more day. The woman gave me a partial refund and begged me to not write a review. It has taken me a long time to write and post this review but I feel like I have to post this to hopefully protect others from the trauma that I experienced with her. Also, I now wonder if some other bride went to pick up her dress and the woman did not remove her sleeves when she was supposed to. I cannot fathom why she took my sleeve off.

DO NOT go to Lee's Tailors!!! I took my brand new wedding dress (that I paid over $2,000 for) to…read moreget minor adjustments. I just needed the straps of the dress to be shorter and for the tulle/lace in the front to be replaced with fabric from the dress. First, they lost the replacement fabric I provided. Next, they cut the straps of the dress dramatically and changed the entire structure of the dress to an unwanted empire waist dress! After crying in the store from being groped (yes, groped) and gaslit by the rude staff, they promised to correct their mistake and for me to come back. After coming back two more times (each the dress straps were not adjusted as requested), they let out the bust of the dress. This was not requested at all and now my perfect dress is a complete disaster! The staff at Lee's Tailors managed to destroy not only the dress but the vision for my wedding. After going back and forth to them FIVE times, I managed to get my dress from them. Now, I have to either purchase a replacement dress or find another seamstress all before my wedding in three weeks!! I'm completely screwed and left scrambling! I would've been better off altering the dress myself.

Last week I took three dresses to this tailor for alteration. One simply needed to be hemmed to a…read moreshorter length, one needed to be shortened and have a decorative border removed in that process, while one required an alteration to the sleeve. I did not try on two of the three dresses for the tailor because I did not feel it was necessary. They simply needed to be shortened, and I specifically stated that I wanted them shortened by 5 inches. The lady working with me did not measure or mark 5 inches on the fabric, she simply guesstimated and stuck a straight pin in the dress to indicate where the fabric was to be cut. She also did not write down my instruction of 5 inches in the notes that she took. When I picked up the dresses, one of them had been shortened by at least a foot, and the other by at least 10 inches. It is absolutely ridiculous to me that such an error in measurement could have been made. I am partially at fault for this, because I did not try the dresses on and let her pin up the hem to the length that I desired. I did not do so because I am currently wearing a full-length leg brace and using a walker while recovering from knee surgery, which would have made changing clothing and stepping up on their pedestal difficult for me. I thought that the clear and precise direction cutting and hemming the dresses to be five inches shorter would be sufficient. The second of those two dresses had a decorative border around the bottom of the skirt that I did not like. I asked that it be completely removed when the dress was shortened. The lady smiled and nodded to indicate that she understood my request, but she did not write my instructions down. The border was not removed as I had requested . Instead, the fabric was cut above the border, the dress shortened, and the decorative border sewn back on. Again, I blame this mistake on the fact that the instructions that I gave were not written down. I blame the language barrier for this. Don't come at me with unwarranted accusations of xenophobia when I say this. I am a die-hard liberal and do not stand for any sort of xenophonic nonsense. I am simply stating that the language barrier contributed to my instructions not being followed, and that the tailor did not make detailed notes of my instructions because she simply did not understand what I was saying, although she nodded and smiled as if she did. I'm not sure I can even describe the mess that was made of the sleeve alteration that I requested. (I DID try this dress on to show the tailor what I wanted altered because it had a fuller skirt that I could wear over my leg brace without having to remove it, and I did not need to step onto the pedestal because the alteration was to the sleeve, not the overall length of the garment.) The dress had a very short ruffled cap sleeve that I felt was too voluminous, and I requested that the ruffle be detached, excess fabric be removed, and then the ruffle be reattached, so that the sleeve lay closer to my arm and not be as poofy. The lady pulled the fabric taunt to make the ruffled sleeve smaller as I had requested, nodding to indicate that she understood. Again, she made no written notes, but I thought that she had indicated that she understood my request. When I picked up the dress, the fabric had simply been pulled taunt and tacked without the excess fabric being removed, creating two separate armholes on each side. It was absolutely ludicrous that anyone could possibly think that that was what I wanted. It boggles the mind. Thankfully, at least the fabric of that dress was not cut, so the stitches that this tailor made can be picked out and the alteration done correctly elsewhere. I did not try on the dresses when they were picked up from the tailor, in fact I did not even pick them up myself, due to the mobility issues I am having post knee surgery, which prevents me from driving. So I I was not aware of the mistakes that were made until the alterations were already paid for and the dresses were already removed from the premises. Not that it would have helped in the case of the two dresses that were incorrectly shortened and hemmed, since the fabric was cut and the excess likely disposed of. Perhaps the third dress with the incorrect sleeve alteration could have been redone by that tailor, but if my wishes were not understood the first time, I honestly don't think a second repetition and demonstration would have helped much. The cost of these alterations, having two dresses hemmed and altering the sleeve of a third, was over $100. Two of the three dresses were completely ruined. I am therefore out over $500, the price of the clothing in addition to the cost of these bad alterations. I strongly suggest to anyone who needs alterations made to an expensive or irreplaceable item that they avoid this business and take the clothing to a tailor where English is fluently spoken and understood, in order to avoid the destruction of the item.
