A few reasons I give 4 stars instead of 5: I was quoted a price differently than what I was told at check out. Didn't like that. Seemed greedy for the sale. Initially came in for a Brazilian wax but got talked into a facial as well. So, I accepted. The facial was not what i thought or expected it will be. She just kept running my face and rubbing cold creams on my face. And then the steamer only steamed half my face and the extractions was done on my nose only but how can you see anything in my nose with no magnifying lamp and no light on Lastly pushing the product that was used. Too aggressive. Just suggest and let me decide. Now here for the reasons I highly rated the place: It's a newly established place. I want to see them succeed. Smells amazing when you come in. The ambiance was very good and professional. The staff very professional. The cleanliness of the whole place was very nice. The wax service was good and efficient minus the temp of the wax but i didn't complain because I can take the heat. The facial was relaxing but I've had better. I might go there again for Brazilian waxes because it is conveniently located near my home. read more

I have been going to Sugar Thread Wax for eye brow threading and Brazilian wax for the last six months and they do a fairly decent job. However when I met SANA and she did both my eyebrows and brazilian wax, I fell in love with HER services. She did my eye brows to perfection and knew what she was doing when it came to my brazilian wax. Sana asked me detailed questions about downstairs regarding shaving, products I use, how often I wax, if I exfoliate on a regular basis etc. to assist me in the best way she could. She recommended a couple of products that could be useful (but did not force me to purchase them) and was very straight forward about everything. Her services are very QUICK but good. She does an amazing job getting all of the hairy areas of the vagina, leaving it as bald as possible. She suggested a sugar scrub that has been incredibly helpful for hair bumps. I now have zero hair bumps and the appearance is remarkable. I decided to give up sugar thread wax a try when I saw a Groupon for it. I was both excited and a little frightened to have a $15 Brazilian wax. First of all let me say the facility is so clean and so beautiful. All of the young ladies working there are pleasant and super sweet. So let's get down to the nitty-gritty, the Brazilian. Let me just start by saying that if a Brazilian can be pleasant than this one definitely was. You know it's one of those necessary evils that embodies the "Beauty is pain". Tia helped me through everything and I even decided to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted while there. They look amazing and now I don't have to worry about applying make up. I purchased a Groupon for a brazilian wax and scheduled a last minute appointment; these ladies were so kind and accomodating. I brought my mom along with me and despite being traumatized by a horrible waxing experience, Tia convinced her to give it a try. She threaded and tinted my mom's eyebrows beautifully. My mom loved them! She said her brows haven't looked this good since her last brow artist moved. Ash did my brazilian and I was happy that they used sugar wax (my skin's sensitive so that nail salon quality wax would've been a no-go for me). Ash did an amazing job! I LOVED my experience here. The salon is clean, the staff is kind, knowledgable, and very upfront. I purchased the Groupon for the $15 brazillian and called right after. They told me the deal wouldn't be able to be used until after July 4th because the aesthetician who did the groupon was booked until then. I was a bit annoyed until she told me they would still offer me the first-time customer deal for a $29 dollar wax and they had an availability that day. I figured $29 was still cheap, and I'd be getting my next one for half that, so why not. Tia did an AMAZING job, honestly one of the best waxes I've ever had. I am so happy I decided to come here. I went for my first ever Brazilian wax and the experience wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Sugar Thread Wax is very beautiful and clean on the inside and the location is great. The amazing Malika provided my wax service and I was soooo pleased with her. She made me feel so comfortable and instead of yelling out in pain I couldn't help but laugh because she was funny and tried to keep my mind off of the pain the whole time. They also do facials and other body treatments and they have skin care products you can purchase. One stop shop. I couldn't be happier with the salon or the staff. Finally decided to get my first Brazilian wax. Lol. Ash was amazing, very friendly staff. I was super excited but nervous for obvious reasons. I must say I will keep my regularly scheduled appoints here, very satisfied. Ok so this is about my third visit. Yes I'm a regular now! Malika did my wax on this particular time and she was awesome! I received a facial and a Brazilian sugaring. For the facial, it was not only relaxing but my skin looked and felt amazing. I will be back for another facial. The highlight was the hot stone portion, never had that before. Again, very relaxing and the space is clean. Loved my experience. Tia was the greatest! As for my Brazilian... now I get waxes regularly and deal with the pain so and so on... my experience here was absolutely PHENOMENAL! When I entered Sugar Thread Wax I was extremely nervous, because this was my first Brazilian wax. From the time I walked in Ash made me feel so comfortable! She told me not to worry and talked me through my entire Brazilian wax! The wax wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. She also threaded my eyebrows! Service over the phone was great, make sure you mention your Groupon as not all the estheticians are available to redeem them. Once I found the location and got to my appointment, again, the service was wonderful and the decor was nice and clean. Malika did my wax and she was meticulous, quick & talked through the service. She ensured I was comfortable throughout the waxing service. They have several promotions and a rewards program. I've been going to Sugar Thread Wax for about eight months now. I first purchased a Groupon while looking for a salon after my recent relocation to the area and quickly became a repeat customer. The salon is very clean and always smells so good. I've had at least six Brazilian waxes and a lip threading since I started going here. I love this wax salon! I began with getting my brows threaded by Mel (she's amazing and highly skilled at what she does), then I started getting my upper lip threaded! I absolutely LOVE the results. After about a year I decided to trust Mel to wax my bikini area. I was nervous but she assured me everything would be okay. Mel was extremely patient and understanding which made my entire experience a breeze! No to mention the results were TOTALLY WORTH IT! I found this place on Groupon. I called and booked an appointment before I came and they were very helpful with getting me in the same day. When I got there I was greeted promptly and warmly. The place is beautiful and clean! I originally just wanted a Brazilian wax. Ash helped me. She threaded my eyebrows and they look better than any other place I have ever gone. I purchased a Groupon for 3 Brazilian waxes. I've already gone twice and I must say, the service is superb! My first service was with Aria... excellent! Aria only works on Tuesdays so I scheduled my remaining appointments on a Tuesday. Due to scheduling conflicts, my appointment had to be changed for the second service. I love that fact they are taking all the necessary safety precautions. They have all Even gone through training to use the thread around their neck instead of their mouths. ! I had bought a Groupon to try out this place. First off I made a last minute appt and they were able to squeeze me in that afternoon even though they were booked. Then I saw Tia for my Brazilian and she was quick and efficient. Really no pain at all and I normally do Brazilians. Then we discussed eyebrows so I got those threaded as well and they do look good. I cannot stand Mel....her attitude is ugly and she always finds a way to be undercover rude. Last time I came she asked if I used to get my eyebrows waxed because they're so thin and then, in attempt to sell their sugar scrub whilst doing my Brazilian she says "you really need to try our scrub so your skin will look good" like seriously?!
