I wasn't super impressed by this lounge. The people working were very nice. It doesn't seem like enough people working to match the number of travelers. One person was scrambling around trying to clean up behind people and it was very crowded. Probably overcrowded and some people have ZERO etiquette in shared spaces. People were picking up food without using the provided utensils, feet (no shoes) on chairs, not clearing their table. It takes less than two minutes to throw your trash away. There are cans on your way out. Breakfast gets switched out at 11. I was in line for food and the six people ahead of me completely demolished the pan of pasta and picked all through the salad. One lady was picking out things she wanted from the salad- very rude. The strawberry refresher dispenser was empty for 15 minutes before they took it away, the breakfast juice was removed promptly at 11 and only water was available on the buffet area. I didn't see when the juice was refilled but it was not before we left at 1126. I enjoyed the food and drinks provided but I would've definitely been more comfortable at one of the many restaurants. read more

It's very similar to other major airline lounges. I've been to much smaller lounges at other airports. This one is a nice enough size, and has great runway views. We're not frequent flyers with United, but fortunately had leftover miles from past trips to cash in for RT tickets. Why not check out the lounge while we're there? We almost didn't get in despite paying for the ticket bundle that included access to the lounge. It was a full house that day. They put the sign up that they're not accepting day passes as we stood in line. Fortunately, they let us in after verifying the reservation. There was only seating at the bar when we first arrived. Thankfully a table became available. There are comfortable looking lounge seats all over. Eventually the lounge cleared out an hour later. I didn't really get anything from the buffet. The line was initially too long. What they had was very limited. We did snack on wasabi edamame and sesame pretzels near the dessert area. The desserts were pretty standard. The coffee was the best part of the lounge. They serve the illy brand. The coffee machine was working properly, and the restrooms were clean. The service was also good. Our table was cleaned almost immediately as we sat down. The attendants kept the food areas clean as well. Would we pay for it again? Probably not. We just don't fly this airline enough to get complimentary access. It was still great to be away from the busy terminal. read more

There is no better way to start a trip than the United Club. Terminal C club is always nice, clean and has great service! Mr. G had the eggs, biscuit and sausage. Eggs were good. Not sure if they are fresh or powdered but they were good none the less. The bar doesn't open till 10 AM. Which doesn't bother me, but might be inconvenient for those early morning nervous flyers. Tried going to two different United Club lounges at IAH and all of them had signs saying they weren't accepting one-time passes. No warning anywhere, just wasted time walking between lounges. To make it worse, one employee was rude and basically said, "Can't you see the sign?" Not the premium experience United advertises. Disappointing overall. Extremely rare for me to give one star to any place, but I'm tired with United's frequent games at their clubs. Not sure why more often than not they restrict the use of the United Club Passes they offer as a benefit of having (and paying for) their credit card. So, in effect, cardholders are paying for these passes. However, if you have a pass you are treated as a paria. They throw the sign out front saying you can't come in. When I traveled a lot I had a full membership, but now it's not worth it. The 2 passes per year I receive from my UA Credit card are basically useless. So, I'm canceling my UA Credit Card out of principle. My AA Citibank, DL Amex and others are sufficient. If you can't stand behind your benefits, don't offer them. read more

I do not recommend the lounge located in Terminal C. It is too crowded and small. Visited during lunch time on Nov 6 as it was so close to the departing gate and there was ample time to enjoy the lounge. Super-packed. Food and drinks were fine and they replenish the buffet regularly. That was a plus. This must be one of their smaller lounges. In addition to the public spaces, there are pockets of spaces here and there where you can relax if you need a different pace or privacy but some have real cold air conditioning. In addition, some cubicles were not as clean. I have had a better experience in their bigger lounge but don't remember the Terminal. Just maybe, the shutdown was encouraging people to sign up for United Credit Card for the TSA precheck. Just one theory why the lounge could be almost full house. Packed like sardines! read more

The United Club in Terminal C (near the sky bridge) is a solid choice if you're connecting between terminals at IAH. Location-wise, it's perfect--right on the way when you're transferring, which makes it super convenient compared to trekking across the airport. Inside, the lounge has all the standard United Club amenities: comfortable seating, workstations, snacks, and drinks. Service is generally reliable and staff are helpful. That said, it can get pretty crowded during peak travel times, and seating can be tough to find. Compared to the best of the United Clubs (like some of the newer or recently renovated ones), this location doesn't quite stack up--it feels more like a functional stopover than a destination lounge. read more

There were two United Club lounges after entering security at Terminal C. This located after a right turn followed by a left turn prior to C1 gate. There was a short wait at check-in. There were high chairs at the full bar, along the walls, and by the windows. There were sofas and benches as well. There were two single phone rooms to be used up to one hour. There were light salad bars with snacks and fruits. There were hot and cold beverages. read more

The reception at the United Club in IAH was so warm and cordial. The staff genuinely smile and make you feel welcome. The food also seems to have improved, and I love being able to see the planes from the large windows. It's a great view that really adds to the experience. However, the condition of the bathrooms is absolutely shocking. Please pardon the details, but the men's restroom had puddles of urine all over the floor; it was so bad that I wouldn't recommend rolling your carry-on in there. The overall uncleanliness was appalling, with dried urine on the floors and boxes of cloth napkins randomly left by the sinks. Honestly, I've seen cleaner bathrooms in much less-developed airports around the world. Considering that people are paying $750 a year for access (or even just visiting on international first class / business itineraries like I was), this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. I can forgive the overcrowding as that's to be expected these days. I don't expect gourmet food either. But at the very least, club guests deserve clean, maintained restrooms. Overall atmosphere is good. Plenty of comfortable chairs and power/usb plugs. Food- not. Main was pasta w sausage. Mushy/flavorless. And I'm sure was frozen. Cheese plate- cheddar and Monterey Jack . The grilled chicken berry salad was in need of chicken (though it was a full serving dish). And flavor. 1 soup, mushroom risotto. Turkey 1/2 sandwich, didn't try. This is a pretty good club for the US. There is lots of seating, good food, electrical plugs at most seats, a wall of windows, a couple of phone rooms and efficient staff. The restrooms are basic, and there are no showers or napping rooms like I've seen in other airports but it's a much nicer and more comfortable place to wait than the seating by the gates. Last week when I arrived in Houston I did notice a sign out front saying they were full but today (on a weekend) it's not bad at all. There is another United Club at the other end of the terminal near the higher numbered gates and I did hear a rumor that a new club is being built but not open yet. That's a good thing as this club is showing its age (cracked chairs, carpet coming up, etc.) Hopefully the new club will be open and not full on my next trip. read more

A packed United Club. After the fist flight I was ready for some protein. Got myself a chicken taco, strawberries and lemon immersed water. They need more staff for clean up and they are slowly getting to it. There's a very public and quiet area. The bar is busy already. A good experience. Was in club on Oct 28th. Club by C1 gate. We went in around 1pm and it was maybe half full. I haven't been into the IAH United clubs in more than a year (last time was 2021 in terminal e), and wasn't sure what to expect in regards to food. But was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't pre-packaged food anymore. This was my first time in this specific club by C1. The banana bread and lemon tarts(can't remember if that was the exact name) and mimosas were delicious. They also had a salad bar, nacho bar, soup/gumbo, meat and cheese assortment, hummus & pita chips, and wraps and sandwhiches. Along with some fresh fruit (I think just apples), along with some dispensers that had snacks in them- if I recall one had jelly beans or something small like that. There mightve been one with cereal. Everything we tried we ended up finishing, there wasn't anything that tasted off/weird/bad. We left full and happy since it was the start of our vacation. Not sure if it's at other clubs, but I find it nice that they have one of those roaming bots with bins to put used plates/cups into when it slowly passes by. My only negative is the layout of this club, it's one long rectangle with no walls dividing spaces. So it can get kind of loud in there. read more

Arrived at the United Club Terminal C early on a Monday. Glad to see that they were open. And I was greeted by a grumpy lady at check-in. Leaving me to think that she really did not want to be there. Perhaps she needed a vacation. They had coffee and lattes which I need as I had been awake since 3:30 for a 6:30am boarding. The buffet had scrambled eggs that looked nice and dry. Fruit that looked as it was leftover from the weekend. Please United Club people get us better food to eat. It really needs to look better and taste better. The fees to get into the club are not cheap so, YES I expect better. The lights were nice and bright and the club was BUSY this early in the morning. Typical, average United Club. Lots of comfy seats with charging stations. Seats for dining and at the bar. Mediocre hot food, snacks, and beverages. Wine and (non top shelf) cocktails complimentary. As far as clubs go, this one is perfectly fine. It's good to note that while domestic first class doesn't have access, international first class does When you walk in there is a desk where you scan your boarding pass for entry, then you take escalators up to the lounge area. I believe there's some private rooms for taking calls and such but I've never used them. The most important thing for me is the bathrooms are clean and there's no line! Seating: There's tons of couch chairs to sit at. Each has its own lamp and side table with charging ports. There's also some tables with chairs in the dining area as well as bar seating. Food: There's 3 different spots for food and they get crowded easily because they're on the walkways. This deifntiely could have been designed better. They do have warm breakfast though! There's eggs and bacon (plus salsas etc). There's also an oatmeal bar with warm oatmeal and various toppings. There's bagels, English muffins, and cornbread with a toaster and toppings too. As well as 3 types of cereal and some fruit. I've been on a juice kick lately so was excited to see they had nice cold orange, grapefruit, and a0pple juices as well as water and cucumber water. A great escape from the great unwashed. The United Club was quite large and spacious allowing to accommodate comfortably many wiery passengers in need of a lite snack and a beverage with authority. The snacks were absolutely delightful and the staff quite attentive. I haven't been in too many United Clubs to be able to compare, but honestly I expected better/more? Maybe that is silly of me. The buffet food line for breakfast was not as clean as I would have hoped, my plate not totally clean either (it had obviously been washed, but some stuck on food was left behind). There are lots of seating areas and choices with TVs playing sports, the news, whatever. It certainly can get crowded, so although it is better than sitting in the general hustle and bustle of gate seating, it isn't much better. Best part are the clean bathrooms. read more
