Yagi is awesome. I had contacted other locksmiths via the Yelp project request and the one I selected turned out to be a total knucklehead and multiple people from their office kept calling, all of them confused. Yagi said he's match my quote. Showed up immediately, worked incredibly hard on a front gate dead bolt that had been incorrectly sized. He wouldn't give up. I felt sorry for him but he was diligent, persistent and charming. He finally finished and I am sure that it was not a "winner" for him but he was so gracious and ethical that you can tell he really truly feels what he does is important and that you are important. Ygal Peter Magen came to our building when my roommate locked herself out he was able to get her back into our apartment but then our lock didn't work properly afterward. When I contacted him about this he agreed to come fix it but then didn't confirm a time or day and just randomly showed up and didn't call/text but EMAILED me. Obviously I didn't see the email when he was here so our lock did not get fixed. Would not recommend this place. For $200.00 you could get way better service elsewhere. read more

Hi, I found them via the Yelp request a quote feature. They did not respect my request for a quote and repeatedly asked for phone number and address. After repeatedly telling them the address in the original quote, they insisted they call me. I relented and they called me. After numerous failed attempts to call me, I finally asked them for a phone number to call them. I did, and once again they required to be on site for a quote. I insisted that other had provided a quote after knowing the job details and address, he finally said 95-149. Other quotes have been $95, $195 and $95. I needed to choose a provider based on immediacy and asked if they could do $95. They simply said no and demanded we not post their prices directly on Yelp. So that's exactly what I'm doing. 15 mins of calling, repeatedly demanding that they could only come on-site to pressure me with a quote, they finally demanded that I not publicize their pricing. It's a pretty bad abuse of the request-a-quote feature by Yelp, so I've reported them to Yelp and the BBB. Other locksmiths in the request a quote feature were much nicer and transparent. read more

I had an amazing experience with Ben from United Locksmith today! My bag got stolen, including my car keys and my house keys. He came over within 30 minutes and had my car keys replaced 10 minutes after he got here. I asked if he could do my house keys too, and after casually mentioning that we have trouble with our lock sometimes, he offered to take a look. He ended up fixing our lock and making us a bunch of key copies--we had been suffering through a stubborn broken lock for a year! I couldn't believe how generous and helpful he was. Long story short, I locked myself out of my flat late one night with only my car key in my hand and my dog on the leash; no phone, no nothing. After calling from a nearby motel to services that are "available" 24 hours but (i) went to voicemail (?), (ii) had no one available in SF (really?) or (iii) spoke only Spanish (not a fault, but seriously, only Spanish-speaking?) I got to United Locksmith. Seriously, he should be higher on the Yelp listing. Peter said he would be there in 5-10 minutes, and he was there. Got me back in, very professional, nice guy, made sure to check my ID. These people had me wait in the cold for 2 1/2 hrs while waiting for them to unlock my car. I called them multiple times and 3 reps told me someone was on there way after the 10th call the locksman says no one told him I was stuck and he be at my car in 20min. After he unlocked it I called back and wanted to speak to a supervisor. Told him the service was horrible and he agreed and said he will give me 30% off of what I paid back onto my card but will take a couple business days. I waited a couple days after the weekend and no partial refund I kept callin asking what was going on with some of the refund they said someone will call back about my refund. A week later I finally get a hold of the owner is a a** and he pretty much said I'm not getting any refund and hung up on me. On top it off the locksman tried to holla at me! (Wtf) service is this. Screw this company and the owner poor service. Avoiding them never again read more

Giving this company a one star review due to the unprofessionalism. The locksmith, Sean, made an appointment with me for 5:30. Then, 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment he called to reschedule for 6. I had things to do close to that time but I decided to bite the bullet and tell him that's fine. Sean was 20 minutes late to my house and didn't seem to care about being here. Upon arrival I was expecting some sort of company car with the logo proudly posted on the sides or something of that nature. Sean pulls up in a very sketch Minivan, making me feel like I was about to be "Taken" and the only person that could save me was Liam Neeson. Sean got into my car after 5 minutes and then said he had to check my VIN and get information about my vehicle. After 45 minutes of standing around, I am still here left wondering if he has any idea what he is doing. Clearly has no regard for customer service or anything. I'm going to tell him that I can't wait all day and send him away because this is ridiculous. 1/5 for United Locksmith. AND I STILL HAVE TO PAY A $15 SERVICE CALL FEE WHEN HE DID NOTHING! read more

Never needed a locksmith before, but called around different other ones until someone told me about united locksmith, so I gave them a call and the representative Shay ( who should not be representing this company) was so nasty and rude to me. From the minute she got on the phone she sounded as if she was disturbed, impatient and showed no concern at all as of why I was even calling in the first place! I'm already stressed out bc my husband is locked out bc I gave him the wrong key, and on top of that have to pay for an expensive locksmith and I'm at work and can't leave to give him the key myself which don't cost anything !!!!! So her attitude did not help at all!! I Asked her for a quote. And she states she couldn't give me one bc it depends on what the technician have to do! And will be given a price after job was done. ( understandable I guess if that's they're way of doing things ok, nothing I can do about that... I explained to her it's just a standard door knob ( just to see if she had kinda a range or so for price) She says aggressively well I'm not a technician so I don't know what the price will be. So I asked her can I speak with an technician, she says hold on..... so I hold for 10 minutes and she gets back on the phone and say hello how may I help you! At this point I'm confused so I say I was just talking to you! You told me to hold bc I wanted to talk to an technician.. and she says and this is about?? ( thinking to myself; all this time I thought she was trying to get in touch with an technician for me to speak with) so I explained to her I needed a locksmith just needed a quote. she says in an aggressive and rude way ma'am I don't know what the price will be, I told you a technician will have to come out and than give you a price when on site!!!
