My go-to gas station and yeah, it is geographical. The station is at a major intersection so it can be hard to get into and out of at times but otherwise there are ample pumps, a tap option to pay, easy to move around when you're done and price wise it's cheaper than some of the surrounding competitive stations. went to buy some milk with my husband for our baby and the lady at the counter said " I don't want to sell you this " after placing the milk down. We both were confused and she pointed at the expiration date. The milk expired beginning of the month. She asked if we wanted her to check the back for good milk. Unbelievable !! If you " don't want to sell us " this then why have it out in stock. Most of their drinks from the fridge were expired. Be careful what you consume from this place. Eating expired foods is dangerous. They seem to know the product is expired but pick and choose who to tell and who not to tell. Imagine had we given this to our one year old. Some people just don't have morals at this point. All to make a quick buck ripping people off. read more

I remember years ago going there and the guy was so rude that was working behind the counter but it has really improved and the people working there now are always kind and engage in conversation with you. Its like being at an old time neighborhood gas station. I love going there. I am guessing that it may have changed ownership at some point. Horrible! Didn't wanna leave a review but the bad customer service and the fact that they LITERALLY stole money from me I had to leave this review. Stopped here today on my way home Dtla, streets where blocked for some reason so I stopped at this station since I only had 28miles left on fuel. Went inside, clerks names is "ANA" and I paid with my credit card $30 just because I'm not a big fan of 76. She charged my card. Walked over to the pump (6) and I proceeded to pump, the machine said $30 on it but wouldn't pump gas no matter what I did. Went inside and the lady said "No you got your gas, we don't take the money until you fill up" I told her, nooo you already charged me the moment I walked in and paid. I let her know the pump wasn't working. She then proceeded to help other customers saying "Let me know if it pumps gas because he doesn't know how" And I laughed, then told her look man just put my $30 on another pump. She said "no" why would I give you credit when you already pumped? I said check your cameras!? I didn't pump. I moved my car over to pump 10, paid another $30 and then she says see they do work. I told her to give me the number to the manager and that they stole money from me and she just didn't care at all. Kept talking smack about me to customers as I waited for her to give me the managers number. Thief's.. it's ok, disputing the charge.. never go here. read more

I posted a previous review about a rude employee and several negative shopping experiences at this location. I am updating my review in a more positive light, after receiving a response to my post. A United Oil Company customer service representative contacted me almost immediately, expressing her regards and apologies for the bad experience. It was a very well written message, and I felt advocated and extremely valued as a customer. I am thrilled that United Oil Company values their patrons, reads their reviews and makes it a point to help customers. It made up for any inconveniences I experienced at the station. read more

So I usually don't write too many reviews, but I do want to give some praise to a gentleman named Nate, who works at the 76 gas station. With so many gas stations on the street it's the friendliness and the great customer service that He provided me when I walked into the convenient store. He was accommodating friendly, and had me leave with a smile. Not too many people have that good energy anymore so I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the kind and good energy he gave me. That's what would make a customer want to choose this gas station over the rest on the street. Nate you were great! Also need to mention how clean and organized the inside of the store was! I've been getting gas there for several months. Last weekend I went in to fill up and found a paper sign on the pump saying to pay inside, cash or credit. No explanation. So, I went inside. Had to wait forever for some old guy buying lottery cards. When it was my turn, I told the attendant which pump and presented my credit card. He said, "how much?". I told him I wanted to fill it. He again said, "How much?. I said I didn't know until I filled it. He said, "You need to tell me a dollar amount". I couldn't. I just picked a number, put my card in the gizmo, and told the attendant that I'd never had that experience in a gas station and that I'd take my business elsewhere. That's what I did. The clerk is friendly. Snack area is clean and well organized. I think they only sell beer no other sorts of alcohol. There's a mechanical funny bird I believe it's a parrot and it greets you with a "Hello". Clean station, great quality gasoline compared to others when I pump the same amount of gas at other stations it doesn't last as long with the same amount of miles driven and it's always a good price at 76! Plus you can use Von's rewards points! They have a restroom as well. read more

Went here for a quick refill of my car's gas tank. Also bought some snacks. Staff was helpful and courteous, which is a plus. A lot of places do not have nice staff. read more

Do not use this gas station. I just received a call from American Express fraud. I used my card for gas on the 17 th on May and then my card got hacked. There must be a reader on their pumps. I called there to tell them they should check the pumps and they didn't seem to care, the manager wasn't in they didn't even offer to take my number read more

Not that many pumps at this corner gas station... Topanga and Devonshire. The pricing was a couple of cents less than the place on lassen and Devonshire and another place on de soto and Devonshire. The keypad was way over to the right side of the pump when the screen was in the top middle. Can't complain too much, nor can I compliment them too much either. Three stars for now. read more

This place is NOT safe!!!! I will be boycotting this store and will let all my friends and neighbors know as well! I went in there today with my son to get an Icee, I asked the attendant that was stocking the shelves for a dome lid and he proceeded to berate me. Shocked with his attitude I asked him for his name and he came at me very aggressively. Incredible!!!! Definitely don't feel safe going here! read more

So I go here to get gas like a normal person. I use the gas pump like everybody else, so i'm not sure if this is happening to others. My card that night gets charged twice, one minute apart from each other, I was there at noon. One for the actual amount of gas I used, and another for a completely different amount. Three days later, the amount I used gets charged, and this other charge is not dropped off and still pending on my account. I have tried to call numerous times and catch the manager and that seems to not be a solution as I can't get an answer. I'm going to report them to Discover card, hopefully this won't happen to more people. read more
