I just went in there with my daughter who earned a free Slurpee certificate through her school. She was excited. This was a special treat. The cashier lady was extremely rude!! We accidentally picked the wrong size cup - it was an accident! She held up the certificate and immediately was accusatory and said we had to pay the difference in an angry tone! I tried to clarify and she was extremely rude. I needed to model advocacy for my daughter who was shocked at this as well. I had no problem paying the 76 cent difference. I went up to the male cashier to express my concern about how I was just treated. He just stared blankly back at me. I made sure others in line heard that it was unacceptable to be rude and accusatory and to imply we were trying to get different size. Really?? I was going to buy some additional items but the just gave the 76 and left and asked when owner would be there. Owner - I'm sure you're not okay with your customers who frequent your store to be treated in this manner! We have tons of options for shopping and I won't be back. Your rude cashiers ruined a fun little Friday after school treat for my daughter by treating me so rudely out of nowhere. I quietly entered this 7-Eleven at around 2:30 a.m. to try out the French Vanilla Iced Coffee and also get a Slurpee. I was confused about the cup sizes and which one was which, so I ducked to take a closer look at the serving sizes and how much they would be. It got confusing--and because I also wanted to check out the bottled coffee prices--I left where I was and scanned the other refrigerators. I then came back to the back where the Slurpees were. After scanning the other refrigerators and finding the bottled coffee to be twice the price at a regular store, I came back to where I was. I ducked down again to see the comparisons. It was around this time that this male turban-wearing store employee came to me with this strange look on his face asking what I wanted. I explained that I was confused at the prices and which one was which. He seemed to not understand--or more like not believe--what I was saying. He just looked at me and stared. He said he didn't know after a few seconds. If he didn't know, he could have double-checked the counter or tried to figure out what I wanted. He then looked at what I was pointing at and tried to explain which one was which. Finally, I got the answers that I needed. After a few seconds of giving the answers, he tried to make me hurry up because he "had something else to do." After filling an XL Big Gulp with Slurpee and medium Big Gulp with French Vanilla Ice Coffee, I went to the counter and paid. He was able to punch in the right combinations and charged me 4.39 for the whole transaction. That was 1.99F for the IcedCoffeeCupMedSell and 2.19B for the Slurpee XL NOI plus a 0.21 SALES TAX. He was still staring at me. I wanted to compliment the song he was playing in the background, which sounded like a Middle Eastern or a South Asian pop song, but I hesitated and just didn't. After exiting, I snapped a photo of the storefront for my review. I felt bothered by the encounter, which is my motivation to write this review. This store employee's unfriendly and almost hostile demeanor mucked up the entire experience. If he's a new hire, he certainly must receive more training in customer service. He needs to be more familiar with the prices and should assist customers in a friendlier and more courteous manner, not make them feel unwelcome and rushed just because he has other things to do. It's not like he needs to close the store; this 7-Eleven is open 24 hours a day. Speaking of more things to do, the store was relatively clean, but it had a lot of boxes near the refrigerators; it may have possibly been a part of their restocking routine, but it made their already small store cluttered. read more

When I was in college I started getting 711 Iced coffee (vanilla with 3 of the espresso shot things they have) because I was too poor for Starbucks. Wednesdays are game nights at my buddy's game shop over in Northridge. Nestled on the corner of Tampa and Rinaldi, across from the gas station is the home of this 7-11. It's conveniently right off the 118 exit I take to get there. For the past two weeks, I've stopped here before continuing down Tampa to the game shop. The place is clean, and about average sized for a 7-11. Usually when I get there around noonish there's a line of people at the register, hot lunches in hand, or in the process of ordering their hot lunch from the people behind the counter. About that time there are usually a pair of employees handling the rush. So the line gets handled fairly quickly. Ordering my hot lunch always happens fairly shortly after I enter. After reading the signage, I've discovered that they've got a $6.99 large pizza and 2 liter coke deal. It's pretty good, I eat as much pizza as I can stomach, and then the hungry gamers finish off the rest like vultures picking a corpse clean. I've also got soda for hours of caffeinated dice rolling. This particular trip, whilst wandering the store, in the back I discovered a tall wooden rack of Mexican bottled sodas. I haven't seen this at the other 7-11 stores I've visited. This proves my point that each and every store really does have something unique and special about it. As for the Mexican bottled sodas, I've only heard good things about these, and I selected a orange soda to pair with my Extreme Meat pizza. Nine dollars and just a few minutes later, I exited the store with a large pizza, a two liter of diet coke, and a Mexican bottled orange soda. I really do enjoy this modern age of convenience. I really do enjoy the 7-11 experience. In, out and done on the cheap. Both the orange soda and the pizza were great. Good job guys. I'll definitely be back. read more

My local 7-11. Love the slurpees. They ruined the nacho cheese sauce by adding crushed bits of tomatoes. It just ruined the flavor. I used to always choose 7-11 nachos over other gas stations but now I choose other gas station nachos over 7-11 nachos. This store is full with chips and other snacks (which is amazing). The only 7 eleven near the Northridge area that sells pizza at a reasonable price. When your on a budget you cant go wrong with this pizza. Plus you get a dollar off when you buy a 2 liter soda. The store is really clean specially the area around the Slurpee machine. read more

I actually think this store does not deserve any star at all. Don't leave your money laying around their counter or else they will take it in a heartbeat and convince you that you are wrong about the quantity of scratchers you want and tell you that, "no, you want more than that." Typical cons only do that. I have been going to these store for a while and they usually are nice but not until tonight when this one clerk, who usually on the cash register at night time, just took my boyfriends $10.00 off the counter. I clearly told the guy that we only want two scratchers that costs $2.00 just for fun but the clerk was so quick of taking five scratcher and putting the money in the cash register. I thought he didn't hear me the first time so I told him that we want two scratchers only but it seems like he heard me clear and telling me, "no, you want more than that." My boyfriend said its okay so I just walk out and told the guy that you should not tell us what we want and you should not do that again. On top of that, I bought a sunday paper which costs $1.50 but he charged me $1.75. I don't know if he does not know how to count or he is just used to cheating people. I know these are just pennies however, the honesty of the clerk is very questionable; very bad costumer service.
