I'm an out of state customer and SO pleased with the excellent customer service I received. The AC on my trailer went out, they patiently walked me through all the steps to be able to order the correct unit for me. Answering my questions all hours of the day and night to ensure when I hit the "buy" button, I felt confident. Buying from United RV saved me hundreds of dollars and gave me peace of mind that this is the right unit, my generator can run it, how to find my model number and never making me feel stupid. Wow Alot of complaints Not sure how they are in business. Kim and service department have bad customer care. They do not provide info on pick up or walk you through anything. You are on your own. Locked a utility door to our outside fridge that we do not have a key to so had to break that. No other doors were locked. When asked she told us the person working our ticket was not in so that why no one helped us when leaving. So there was no one else that could work at that time during office hours? Had the roof membrane replaced. Never got a walk thru? Pretty windy the day we picked it up and I guess that was the reason? Nobody ever said anything about a roof inspection. There were roof screws that were not water proofed properly and leaked slowly into the back wall of the RV. After a few years the entire back wall is rotted and full of mold. I took it to another repair shop andf they found the problem screws and showed me how they had been leaking into the wall. They found it after taking some trim off so dont say I should have inspected it yearly and found it. It was poor quality work. They also cut the drain rails in several places and they leak down the sides of the RV. Just bad work and poor repair. IF they spend time explaining themselves on this forum you know they are a problem. Best stay clear of this repair department. read more

What an absolute disaster of an organization. My only regret is that I can't submit this review with a rating of negative 5 stars. Just like Paul B. we had the EXACT same experience with the EXACT same AC unit, except they rooked us for $140 in shipping insurance and refused to do anything different when shipping the replacement. When you call United RV to discuss the shipping issues, they get VERY aggressive and rude, REAL quick. We have file complaints with the BBB as well as the Texas Attorney General's office. I used United RV to replace the roof membrane on my 5th wheel. Four years later I found that the back wall of the RV is totally rotten due to the poor quality of work done. Screws left exposed to the weather leaking gutters, ladder not sealed on the roof. Its a nightmare of a mess. Forget the great reviews, these guys are a scam. I have a rv ceiling ac unit that needed to be replaced searched around and after many phone calls and searching websites found this company I was so happy they answered their phone and was able to help I explained my situation and gave them info for the old unit and they recommended the GE unit that I purchased. we once I received it it was ready set go they said it was easy to install well it was but its not the right unit the airflow does not distribute through the vents as shown in the illustration I called today aug 25th 2023 only to speak with someone who was of little or no help I just needed to know what the return policy was and he said call back monday will keep you posted stay tuned read more

I ordered a rooftop Coleman-Mach air conditioner, it arrived on time but the box looked like it fell off a moving truck. It was completely torn up and re-taped so the box wouldn't fall completely apart. I flagged down the Fedex driver and said I wasn't going to accept this beat up package. He took it back. After the $99 shipping plus $50 "insurance" charge, the guy on the phone from United Rv said he couldn't do anything till it got back to them. After that he would have to file a claim with the insurance company and see if they would pay for another one. He said if they did he would send another one out without charge. I then asked him what if the next one is damaged? He said he couldn't do anything about that. So I said you don't guarantee the product getting to its destination in one piece and working. He basically said no, and I would have to take that up with the carrier. I asked for a refund he said if they did give me a refund I would still have to pay the hundred dollar shipping charge. This is completely unacceptable. I am currently waiting for a call back which he said would be just a couple hours and now it's been over 24 hours. I can't wait weeks for them to decide. All I want is a refund (including $99 shipping). I would be very carful ordering from this company. We'll see what American Express has to say about this. read more

After speaking with Jim, they are making this right. That's all we could ask for. Things happen, but it's nice that they are standing by their customers and taking care of this. This will be a 1st for me. I have never given a bad review on a business. However, I have never felt so ripped off and miss treated then I was at United RV Center in Fort Worth. We inherited an RV following my wife's mothers passing. We were told they could help with some of the issues we noticed. So, We made an appointment and took the drive from Terrell to their location in Fort Worth to have them work on it. Despite having an appointment, we were ignored for almost an hour upon arrival. Once they looked at it, we were told to trade it in and not repair it. However after looking at a few coaches we told them we wanted this one fixed. They were to seal the roof and sides of the RV to start. This took a couple of weeks for them to complete. When it was done, we paid the $2,800 over the phone and asked them to leave the coach in the parking lot, as we would pick it up late at night. When we arrived to picking up, our coach was filthy. We could not see out of the windshield to even make it out of the parking lot. After cleaning the windshield a bit, we drove the hour and a half home. The next day I inspected the work. The roof was not touched and still has visable holes in it. Sealant was splattered all over the exterior, and there are many hand prints where they wiped sealant off of their hands and on to the sides of the RV. When I called after looking this over, I was told it I drove it back the hour and a half to their lot and left it with them that they would wash it. Are you kidding me??? Beware if you take your RV in to them. I have never seen a worse example of someone simply not caring in my life. read more

I ordered a "Coleman RV Air Conditioner 13,500 BTU-White-48203-066 Item #08-0079 order #113101 on October 20th. I paid an extra $99.00 for shipping insurance. The ordering process was seamless package item arrived (what seemed to be intact). However, once unit was installed it did not work. I called immediately to let UnitedRV.com know that the unit was not working. I spoke to Cathy, and she gave me a couple of service companies. Two of the three companies do not service the area in which the unit is located. The third company I called explained to me there will be $175.00 service charge and if parts need to be ordered then it will be an additional charge of $175.00. My wife (Cindy) then called UnitedRV.com and spoke with Franky and asked for help in getting the $175.00 waived or send us a new one and we will return the non working unit. Franky was very nice, and he was very professional he explained that he is not authorized to make decisions. Cindy asked for the maufactures phone number and was given a service number and received two more companies that were listed as doing service in our area however upon calling those two companies she was told that they do not service our area. Franky also explained that she would have to call back to talk to the manager Fernando. She called back and spoke to Fernando. Who was very polite and professional. He said that UnitedRV.com cannot take back the unit once it has been installed and that UnitedRV.com has no way of waiving a charge and that the service company "should not be charging us as the unit is under warranty" Fernando did say he would try and get a refund for shipping costs. I have not received a refund for shipping costs, so I am going to believe that he failed at his attempt. As a consumer this is extremely poor customer service as I have a unit that arrived defective, and I should pay to have someone come out and repair/fix it? Each and everyone who has tried to help along with the reader of this letter is also a consumer put yourself in my shoes what would you do? Pay the $175.00+ (I think not). I need what I paid for a working unit! I have invested so much time to get what I paid for. UnitedRV.com should take ownership of this problem and fix it. I have run out of time and people to call. had to have the flooring replaced due to gash when purchased. When replaced the section in the dining/living room. slide out in the kitchen does not match now. looks terrible having 2 different floors in a small space. Have tried for several months to get it corrected. Phil the sales manager just uses excuses to why he hasnt been able to repair it correctly. I have to leave m essages which dont get returned. I purchased eight ceiling vents for my RV only to discover that they were the wrong size - even though the sizes seemed to match up initially. I only opened one of the vents - discovered my mistake - called customer service and requested a return. That was easy. Unfortunately, by the time they returned my money, they kept about 50% of it - saying the other was a 20% restocking fee and shipping. What a rip off! WHO charges 20% restocking these days? I had my vehicle there at a prearranged date and time. It took them a week to start to work on it. They do not return calls and you can't leave a message because their mailboxes are full. They are not a full service organization because I had to get some one to put Freon in my unit because they said they did not have it. I found on Amazon and could have had it the next day. Took my travel trailer out for the first time this past Saturday. When the grey tank reached 5/8 full, it just fell out of the bottom of the trailer and hit the ground. I put the damaged tank in the back of my truck and pulled the trailer home. Ruined my weekend. Monday morning, August 9, I emailed United RV what happened and included photos. Sent to Donald first who works in the back. He sent it to Tina, his coworker who has a bit more experience and seniority. I wrote, "Good morning Donald, Hope your weekend was great. Last week I came in and visited with you. You've always been extremely helpful to me. I spoke to you about draining and flushing my black and gray tanks. You took me over to an aisle and picked up a transparent flush valve tool needed to wash out tanks and recommended I purchase it so I did. The next morning I pulled my trailer to a campground. The black tank was about 70% full and the gray tank was empty. I connected that new part I bought from you, or should I say, United RV, to the dump valve on the trailer. I dumped the black tank, then I turned on the water faucet and the black tank began to fill with clean water. I did this a couple of times to flush out the tank. Then I repeated this process on the gray tank, however, the third time filling, as the water in the gray tank began to rise to about 5/8 mark, the tank just fell completely out of the bottom of the trailer. The tank itself is OK but, the PVC piping from the tank to the valve is destroyed. Upon inspection, I found that the original factory installed thin metal angle iron brackets bent under the weight of the water, causing the tank to fall and hit the ground. This is an obvious engineering flaw. Those brackets obviously were not built strong enough to hold the weight of the water in the tank. Thank God I was in an RV park and not driving with a bus load of school kids directly behind me. There is no question in my mind that this happened due to poor engineering. I had nothing to do with this to cause this to happen. A gallon of water weighs approximately 8.34 pounds and this is a 29 gallon tank. These flimsy angle iron brackets were obviously not designed to hold 241.86 pounds. This does not include the weight of the plastic tank which isn't much more. And by the way.., I say again, the tank was only about 5/8 full when it fell out of the trailer. I hope United RV will do the right thing as my dealer and fix this problem under warranty due to a poor design/engineering flaw. Please forward this email to the right person or persons there if you are not in a position to help. Tina writes me back the following response. "Good morning Craig, Donald forwarded me your email. Based on the part you purchased, the tank falling out is in no way a result of it being flushed. After talking with my warranty manager, this is not a warrantable issue due to the age of your unit. I apologize for the issue you are currently having & we would be happy to have our service department reinstall the tank but it would either be a customer pay or under insurance if they cover that. If you would like to go that route, please call up here & ask for a service advisor. Also, for future parts not being ordered from the manufacturer would need to be directed to the front parts counter. If you are not able to get assistance from that department, then ask to speak to a parts manager & they will make sure you get taken care of. Tina Rivera OEM Parts Manager United Rv Center I explained my position that this is obviously a manufacturer defect and asked they go to bat for me to cover the repairs then seek reimbursement from the factory. Well then Service Manager Jim Vivitow calls me and says tough luck no warranty from us. He backed up Tina. Oh and my grey tank is 29 gallons. Tina told me it was my fault because I let it get too full. lol WOW! Wonder where she went to school. I didn't know it was possible to put 30 plus gallons into a 29 gallon tank. Lol. She must be a blonde. Oh and Jim says he has 30 years in the business and he's seen it all & knows it all. Nothing he hasn't seen in the business and that I had better not tell him how to run his business. Jim obviously cares more about profits than peoples safety. I explained that the parts to fix the situation would be less than $100 but, by them declining to cover it, they would lose all future business from me for a lifetime which is going to cost them thousands more in the long run but, they didn't care. They don't want me back, and I don't ever want to go back. I am done with this place forever. General manager Jim Vivitow like me, is also a good writer. He will follow up behind this and he will say something like now if you had brought this to our attention sooner before writing this review we would have helped you. You'll see how he twists things around. I think Jim used to be a lawyer. He knows how to twist everything. Just read other negative reviews he's replied on. DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

We brought our travel trailer into United RV Center for some routine, maintenance and some issues that we were not able to diagnose. Our service advisor, Charles Lansdon, took copious notes which described our issues and needed repairs. Charles communicated with us every step of the way while the repairs were being made. Charles, insured that we were able to collect the trailer at the expected delivery time and date. All the repairs were done, and we were provided with good notes and explanation on what the technician found. Charles is a real professional and a pleasure to deal with. read more

I have done two projects now with the service department. Both have gone smoothly. First the inverter repair - this was almost a year ago and while I had to wait as they do provide order preference to those that bought from them and are busy they did it right the first time for the price quoted. No concerns. They did exactly what they said they would for the price they quoted. If I want faster service from them I can buy my next one with them. Probably won't just because they don't sell the one that the wife has picked out and let's be honest. . . The wife wins. Second the add of an on board Viair to my beautiful 2019 Ford F-350. I could not be happier with the installation. 100% what I wanted. I wanted a super clean installation with only an air nipple visible running off an AUX port in my truck. They did a perfect job! We could not be happier! Picture attached. Ok now to address some of the complaints I have heard and read. They are expensive- yes their labor rate is 165$ (at the time of this post) per hour. But so are others around. Can you find labor cheaper? Sure, but cheaper labor may mean cheaper and not done right. The techs at United know what they are doing and good people get paid for their knowledge and quality. They are fussy- I know this is a bit generic but I have seen comments that they were rude or short. They are very passionate people doing great work. Don't want to be told you did something wrong don't ask. They are transparent in the troubles on both sides of the business and will be honest and transparent with you. They always have been with me and that is a good thing. Want to know why they do what they do? Ask them they will tell you. If you are looking for honest transparent service that is right the first time give them a shot. If you are in the North Texas area and want to see the on board Viair installation drop me a reply. Consumer beware! They charge you for repairs that were never completed then when you confront them on it they call you a liar and try to say you have no idea what you are talking about. Paid them to seal the top of my motor home that is always kept indoors and when I went to service my a/c units I discovered that it had not been sealed. A horrible experience with this company! I purchased a Furrion tankless water heater from them online and had shipped to my friends house in Oregon where I keep my RV. I drove up 13 hours to install the new heater ahead of time and fly my family up a few days later to celebrate an early Thanksgiving. When I open the box, the "new" heater is used, damaged, and missing the thermostat. The screw holes on the mounting flange were rusty. The outside of the box was intact, no damage. So clearly someone had repackaged this unit. My attitude the whole time was no problem, mistakes happen, let's make it right. So I talk with Tom in online sales and he was fantastic. Apologetic, calm, and nice. I send pictures as requested documenting all of this. I ask him to overnight a new heater to save my family trip with thousands of dollars invested and he did but said I would have to pay for the shipping cost. I'm not happy about it but I figured no problem, I will request reimbursement for overnight shipping ($180) when I get home. So I start the process when I get back. Lippert who supplies the product to United RV says it's United RV's problem. United RV says it's Lippert's problem. Convenient!So after going back and forth with many texts, emails, and phone calls, a manager calls me from United RV. He's immediately unpleasant and cuts me off as I'm telling him what happened. "I'm very familiar with your situation. We don't sell used products so why would I reimburse you for overnight shipping"? Uhm, because I received a used, damaged product! I think I used the word "shitty" which hurt his feelings and he threatened to end the call if I go cussin' again. He goes as far as to insinuate that I was the one that had repackaged the damaged water heater. Great customer service. He says the serial number doesn't even match and that he was going to get to the bottom of this because he's good at that. Maybe you should be a detective and not in customer service. I say great, I would love to get to the bottom of this and be reimbursed for their mistake. He said why would we reimburse you when you told us to overnight it to you. I say because you should do what's right for the customer to fix your mistake. His exact words were, "I'm not here to do what's right. I'm here to run a profitable business". Wow! Even better customer service!! That should be enough right there to make you keep on browsing to the next company offering all the same RV parts. read more

We are fairly new to the Fort Worth area. You came here with our classic 1988 RV. After 35 years she is Experiencing some Special meats. We had called and called to try and find a replacement for the original refrigerator unit. United RV Center, thank you Cathy, listen to our story and said she would get back to me. The last time an RV provider told me that I didn't hear from them for 14 days. Cathy at United RV Center looked at the part realize the unit was very old and immediately called me back. Asked me several questions and then said "don't worry will find you something that will work. Count on it". Within minutes she called back and said the best fit within inches for our old refrigerator was available and gave me the part number. I said, "do you have that in stock?". She immediately got on her computer said she thought that she had this part in stock, but it look like they might only have one, so she needed to get back to me. Within minutes she returned my car had a unit in stock and made an appointment for me to bring my unit in that afternoon. Upon doing so we checked in expecting our RV to be with him for several days. Within an hour of leaving the company we had a text that our RV was already in service, and may be ready as soon as the next day. I strongly recommend this company we have never had such excellent service and prompt replies. Matthew who was our service specialist not only had the refrigerator replaced within 24 hours that suggested some other items we might consider without up selling. I would not recommend doing business with this company, I found them on line when searching for a Jack IT bicycle rack for our RV. I placed the bike rack, item number 429756 for $216.95 in my cart, less than twelve hours later I returned to make my purchase and found they raised the price $229.99. Granted $13.04 isn't that much money, but it's the dishonest and deceitful practice that promoted me to leave this review. I call this a typical bait and switch! They claim it is not and did make me an offer; It is not bait and switch sir, if our landed cost increases, so does our retail cost. On a recent RV trip we had a blow-out that ended up doing extensive under carriage damage to our travel trailer. United RV. United has taken care of our preventative maintenance for many years, they've always done an incredible job. We decided to take the trailer to United for the repairs. The repairs were a challenge since our RV is no longer manufactured. United had to scour for parts and find ones that could be interchanged. After several months of repairs, our trailer was finally ready for us to pickup. Steve, our service advisor, did an incredible job keeping us informed and working with our insurance company. BUYER BEWARE***If you take your unit to have work done or repair be sure to remove all valuable items. They MIGHT come up missing like our brand new $400 electrical power cord and accesories. Called and spoke with the Director of Operations and he was quick to defend his employee's, as he should. However, still doesn't exlain how our brand new RV that we bought in late March and only used one. After being there for 3 months waiting on a manufacturer claim has vaulable items missing. Just doesn't make sense, he made me feel like I was making up this story. He kept saying how he has so many of these electrical cords laying around. You think he would offer one.
