I spoke with a representative at the post office who took my information and said they would call me back, but I never received a follow-up--and the packages still have not arrived. I would have appreciated at least a return call acknowledging the packages were scanned incorrectly, along with a sincere apology. Additionally, we've noticed that our longtime mail carrier, who served our route for years, is no longer delivering our mail, and there have been several different carriers over the past few months. We sincerely hope all is well with our previous carrier they are truly missed. We never experienced any issues, and they were always polite and professional.

Unfortunately, my experience at this Hamtramck location was extremely disappointing. The employee I dealt with, Tina, was dismissive and unhelpful from the beginning. I asked a simple question about getting a label, and instead of assisting, she made the process unnecessarily difficult and confusing. I was told I needed to purchase tape, was charged for it, and never even received it. When I asked for a receipt, she did not provide one. At that point, I decided I didn't feel comfortable continuing the transaction. I asked for a supervisor, and the number I was given did not work. When I requested that she contact a supervisor directly, she refused. Another employee nearby did not step in to help resolve the situation either. Instead of trying to fix the issue, I was ultimately told they would not ship my package after already taking payment. The situation escalated further when I was threatened with the police over a situation that should have been handled professionally from the start. Given the volume of shipments we handle every month, reliability and professionalism are extremely important to us. Because of this experience, we will not be using this location moving forward and will be taking our business to another shipping facility. I have an adoration for historical buildings -- all the stories and characters they contain, which is why I wanted to peek into the Penobscot. The interior has gold and marble detailings. The lobbies also have beautiful detailings and artwork that have been preserved. Today, in the building you'll find a post office, a nail salon, clothing boutiques, an apothecary, a place that sells fine wines -- definitely worth a browse.
