It's always stunning to me how this post office is still up & running. Nothing ever gets done in a timely fashion and 70% of the employees are unhelpful and arrogant. I needed a PO Box for a business and the first thought that went through my mind was -- not the Richland Hills USPS. I will gladly pay 100s more for efficiency and timeliness. This place doesn't offer either. If you're dropping off a package, make sure to have it done in person (or better yet, go through another carrier). Don't bother doing a vacation hold either. Somehow the carriers never receive the message. This place needs a management change. Especially in the department that "holds" mail. read more

Came in to ask if i could retrieve my package , told me they were being sorted and they told me ups would still collect the package. This place is a zoo. Stood in line for half hour to find out there's another branch of the post office on the opposite end of the complex to have to stand another half hour. All th while with hundreds of people inside, no one seems to care a security guard waiting in line is carrying a loaded firearm. I don't use this post office very much since one it is always super busy and two because it's a cluster to get in an out of. I had to go in today to mail a package and as I am waiting in line I over hears the clerks talking not so nice about some customers after they have walked off. Been here multiple times, but the most recent one, went on a Monday around 1100 am, the line was long up until outside the office, got to the front by 1110 and the staff at the front remained positive, calm and professional despite the chaos. The supervisor (I think he was) was also helping the other people in line be easily directed to where they're supposed to go. Overall, does this place get busy? Yup for sure! But the staff always remained on point and professional at all time! So allot some extra time when planning to make a stop here. read more

I was having something for my wedding delivered to my parents, and on 3/28, the delivery driver left a note that they were not able to deliver due to "other" without ever stating exactly why. Being in town this weekend, I went to the post office to pick it up. It was unable to be found, and the young woman working the window asked for my tracking number. Upon looking it up, it was scanned on 3/29 at 9:00 AM and listed as "out for delivery" then at 11:15 AM "forward expired". When she saw this, she had to venture to the other side of the facility to find my package which was already being prepared to be sent back to sender! She even said they are supposed to hold onto items for 7-days. This is my personal experience. My parents have had horrible experiences here. If you can avoid this location, please do so! Worst service I've ever experience twice. The lines are so long for mail pick up and only one person working the window. First time I waited and almost 2 hour and had to leave before making it to the window. Second time with only 5 people in front of me I'm next to reach the window it's been 47 mins. But all 4 customers in front of me left with no service full filled. The employee always came back giving a reason why something wasn't available (mail, mailbox keys....) Nonetheless, I believe if you're willing to leave a negative review, it's equally important to imply a possible solution to make things better.. so here it goes. 1) Hire, educate, and provide tools for your employees to become effective and proficient in their current roles. 2) The ability to articulate and communicate with customers is extremely important. Don't put employees who can't communicate effectively at the customer service window. You're putting your employees in a position to fail, as well as make USPS seem illegitimate. The mail won't be delivered at times because the mail box will be obscured by a trash can that we can't help when the trash truck picks it up and moves it there. Yikes the reviews here!! Sadly I'm gonna have to agree with most. I use the main office to mail out packages and yup usually there's 3-5 associates. And I'm thankful the line goes pretty fast. And usually they're pretty nice. The big guy has his normal spiel "welcome to ... sorry for the wait" lol BUT when I did need to grab a certified mail I too had to wait in the outrageous line for a total of 54 minutes! I was pretty annoyed to say the least. And I wasn't the only one. One small window. One slow woman behind the window= a lot of upset people. When that specific line gets clogged I don't understand why one of the other associates are not trained to help out at that window. 2 people working would be a tremendous help! Worst USPS office EVER!! Always losing mail and packages. STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK: My son is in basic training and only way to communicate is through handwritten letters. They have failed to deliver EVERY SINGLE letter he has sent. I subscribe to the USPS Daily Digest that shows you the mail that has been scanned in for you that day and what should be in your mailbox. Every letter my son has sent has been scanned as received but never gets to my mailbox. I place complaints and all I get are emails saying "sorry for inconvenience" and they will talk to the carrier and provide a phone number to call for the manager (Robert Ramirez) if I have any questions. THEY DONT ANSWER THAT PHONE NUMBER! Obviously any talk you have had with the carrier hasn't helped. You have one job to do, deliver the mail! And they fail at that every time. Those letters mean everything to me and it's sad that these carriers/gov employees don't realize how their laziness and incompetency affects the tax payers that keep them employed. The other reviews are accurate. This is by far the worst post office I've ever been to. No AC in the lobby area where people have to wait to pick up packages. I was in line with a couple of elderly people who were about to pass out from waiting in the heat for 45 minutes. Someone who I assume is a supervisor yelled out the window, "THIS WINDOW CLOSES AT 5PM," and then told the other employee, "I told those people we close the window at 5pm. Too bad, so sad." The entire staff needs to be fired, and the AC needs to be fixed. It's July in Texas, FFS. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

Customer service here is horrible. I am a new resident in a single family home, I went to the post office to get mailbox keys and get my mailbox information, I was told it would take 3 weeks to get a new key and in the meantime my mail would be held at the post office. When you go to the post office to pick up your mail there is only 1 person helping customers get their mail. It takes them about 20-30 minutes per person just to hand them their mail so it becomes an all day errand if you don't get there as soon as they open. I went and they handed me the wrong persons mail so I had to wait another 20 minutes just to get my mail. On top of that my mail was supposed to be held until they gave me a mailbox key but it was not so mail is still being delivered to a mail box THAT I HAVE NO ACCESS TO. When I asked the staff about this the only response was "you have to wait until you get the key" so I have important packages amsuch as medication and other items just sitting in a mailbox that I have no access to and the post office does not seem concerned or helpful in trying to help me get the mail.
