One of the best postal experiences I have had. Greeted and helped by a friendly lady. Wish this staff was closer to downtown.

The post master should be ashamed of his negligence in running of all local post offices but this one is by far the worst.

The Atlantic Beach Post Office was my local post office when I first moved to Jacksonville. I…read morehaven't been back there since roughly 2016. I was in the area and needed to mail a friends birthday gift. I walked in and was next in line. Woo hoo! It was lunchtime. Service was fast and friendly! I was happy to learn the postal workers were still getting paid during the government shut down. I bought some Christmas and birthday stamps because I seldom go to the post office. Glad I decided to stop in!

The worker named Anthony there is incredibly rude. I go there at least twice a week mailing…read morepackages out, and every time he's the one that helps me, he always find some issue or can't get the scanner to work or comes up with some excuse. But when I go to the worker next to him and try the same thing, there's never an issue and everything works just fine. Anthony also tells me every time I go up to him that I can just use the self service kiosk, making it clear he does not want to have to deal with me. He grabs packages out of my hand aggressively, and when I hold up my phone for him to scan my QR codes, he physically grabbed my hand roughly and yanked it towards him. I found this incredibly unprofessional and went off on him and walked out. The next time I came in, I went to the self service kiosk instead of going to the counter, as he suggested I do multiple times, and he actually walked out from behind to counter out to the lobby, came up to me and said "hey Katie!" So I guess he was bothered by our interaction to the point of going through the trouble to find out my name, and is trying to intimidate me or something. Just overall weird and unprofessional. I don't know if he's racist, sexist, or just hates everybody in general, but another customer did mention that his 18 year-old daughter came in there and Anthony was yelling spitting in her face and she felt threatened that he would get physically violent with her and left in tears. So I'm not the only woman he's been hostile to. I'm sure that incident was probably reported, but the post office is aware of him being an issue and refuses to do anything about it. So all that to say if you see this worker that goes by the name "Anthony", a larger male with short receding curly hair and freckles on his face, just be warned in advance. He's going to give you a hard time and be rude.

I I did NOT AUTHORIZE MY MAIL TO BE HELD! The extremely rude and full of herself employee took that upon herself and then put it in the system as if I personally requested that my mail be held! Isn't that tampering with Federal Mail?! Especially considering her complete LACK OF ANY Positive CUSTOMER Service and incapable of giving even sorta good customer service! I've filed complaints but when I got a call back from this same, Unsympathetic, self entitled, condescending excuse for a customer service agent! There's not a chance that I'd EVER hire her nor will I be forced to tolerate her childish stupidity and extremely unprofessional behavior any longer. If my electricity gets cut off and or myself and my kiddies have to go without... it's on HER for holding a package and other mail without consent although that's her lie to explain as to why she lied and led everyone to believe I personally put my mail on hold! Every USPS delivery person delivers except for ONE ASSHOLE! Who deservingly, probably did get attacked by another dog that no longer resides here and not my dog at all! Automated system says all taken care of but I need to make sure bc I still don't have my package from my father and the fact that my power bill is late is directly related to the 1 asshole who's so terrified of just about everything I'm surprised he's allowed in public at all! I'll be searching for the laws regarding tampering with mail as a federal offense and if this scenario is considered tampering or fraud or something of criminal nature, I want to and all press charges to the fullest extent of the law!!!
