I had to ship a few Christmas packages to Ohio to my family. I used the post office west of me on Beach a few weeks ago and swore I would never go back to it again. It was like a jungle of madness. I walked into the Jax Beach post office and was happy to see there were only 5 or 6 people ahead of me in line. Being that it was only two weeks before Christmas I thought this was pretty amazing. I felt like I hit the jackpot :-) I only had to wait about 10 minutes. And the gentleman that waited on me was delightful. I also had to buy some stamps to mail my Christmas cards. And he was patient with me while I chose the stamp design. This is now my post office of choice. I never want to go back to the jungle of madness. I would recommend anyone that lives in my area to select this post office for all of your shipping needs! read more

On the way home I needed to mail out some Christmas cards so I googled the closest location to me and this one popped up. I just needed to pick up some forever stamps from the self-service station so I figured easy-in, easy-out. I wouldn't recommend parking right outside the doors as the place is situated tightly in the corner of the shopping plaza. Backing out of a parking spot can get hazardous. Walking in a lady was having trouble with the machine and the door alarm (I think?) buzzing wasn't putting her at ease. She let me go ahead of her and I got my stamps. I'm not sure why she had told me that the machine wasn't responding but it worked for me. Maybe she wasn't applying enough pressure to the screen. I added the stamps and dropped the cards off in the letter bin and got out of there. This trip was probably a one time thing. read more

Have been to this office twice since not happy with Atlantic Beach one. Both times no wait (towards end of day) and the gentlemen were courteous and helpful. In and out in about 10-15 minutes. Maybe people need to check their attitudes toward others before writing a review. read more

The girls that I have met working the counter the times I've gone in have been complete rockstars and super helpful. They are efficient here and you never have too wait long. They need to retrain or retire Vann. He bullied me when I came into the store, after waiting 10 minutes. He informs me I need to tape it up, I tell him the tape is paid for with the shipping label I have. He tells me there should be tape somewhere, I find it then he tells me I need to find and bag the label. So after doing that he tells me now I need to find the self service machine "the machine" and scan my box and do it in the other room. Because "he can't scan my label and print me a receipt" while he's saying this he's printing a receipt for the customer he told to skip me while I taped me box. Then commands me to give her space by going to the back of the line. Which I take two steps over and tell him there's no room to squeeze behind the people in line. Vann, the elderly black male. Made me find his tape and tape up my box. i had to reach over the counter to grab it, then makes me find the bags to pack my label. All while being very disrespectful and rude, he tells me they're over there and i should know where they are. After all this. (there's two employees at the desk helping guest) George the other employee watches this all happens and doesn't say anything. After i tape my box Vann tells me i need to go to the other machine and scan my box and drop it off out there to get a receipt. while he's printing a receipt for the customer he told to skip me. i tell him i saw him print the receipt and he ignores me and says i can't help you. after a couple minutes of searching and being told he won't show me where it is or how to use the machine. A customer helps me try to figure it out. he said no one will help me find or help me with this machine. so the qr code didn't work so i went back to the main room. with no customers anymore since its slow, and its only george up there and i can hear Vann speaking loudly in the back. i tell george the machine wouldn't accept my qr code and he says nothing scans my code and prints me a receipt. i ask him couldn't Vann just have done that? and he says i don't know. George gave me Vanns name when i asked for it so thanks George. read more

Really efficient place. I'm a frequent visitor, have been helped multiple times by Andy and Bob they're both very professional and very helpful. Sometimes a line will form really quickly (seems everyone shows up at the same time) and they get it back down to nobody waiting in an efficient manner. You can ask about sizing here for boxes and envelopes and my questions have always been answered very respectfully, unlike my last local post office so I'm thankful for this atmosphere. read more

Bob was a huge help. My boyfriend is deployed and I sent a care package for the first time today. I usually pick up packages at the Atlantic Beach location but they aren't the most friendly. I was nervous because I have no clue how to send a package and knew I'd need help. This location is way closer to my house and the reviews were much better so I decided to give it a try. I told Bob I had no idea what to do and he walked me through everything, picked out the right box, and packaged everything up for me. It was only $17 and now I know what to do next time. Bob was friendly, quick, and extremely helpful. I wish my USPS experiences were always this way! read more

It's a shame our local post office has the most impolite and unhelpful employees. Every single time I walk into this place it is an absolute nightmare. My grandmother says the same thing. The men at the counters will not help you and by that I mean they either bark orders at you or ignore you all together. In my opinion, they should fire the entire staff and start over with pleasant people who are far less miserable. If I could rate 0 stars I would. If there was an option of no stars that's what this post office deserves. I have made online requests for package pick up. Every time I have had to call to have them make a special drive come to pick them up. I do receive several packages a day and apparently according to my neighbors, this is an inconvenience for the carrier. Our large postal deposit boxes are less than 5 feet from the mailboxes. They see to be put out by doing their job. I agree with the other comment that they sit on packages. My returns that are picked take forever to make their destination. I wish I could go to another office but this is the one that services my area read more

Today my wife came in to get a label for a return. The clothing company gave her instructions of what to do to send back their product. The female worker with the dread locks "helped" my wife. First off you can't understand her with her mask on. She doesn't speak clearly or slowly and gets frustrated when you say "what?". Secondly she told my wife the return instructions she received from the clothing company were wrong and barked orders at her in a non polite way of what to do. She pointed to a wall and said get one of those. My wife had no idea what she was talking about. The woman rudely was finally more specific on what box she needed to grab. At this point the other customers were laughing at my wife. The worker was now making fun. My wife was having a tough day before this and this visit to the post office made it worse. I know it's a lost cause to say this to the post office since they literally are just there for the paycheck and don't like people, but try to be kind. Friendly. Patient. No need to be mean to the people paying your paycheck. We'll be going to UPS from now on. read more

I honestly would choose ZERO stars if I could. Today is the second time in only 3 months that I have dealt with my package being "delivered" yet it wasn't. Plus, there is no key for a parcel locker... it says delivered so where is it???? Last time the mailman "Swears he put it in the mailbox" yet he found it in the parcel locker.... where's the key?! Small post office for such a large city. People are friendly for the most part. Basic supplies. Closes at 5pm on weekdays and I've seen this create a big issue when customers are trying to get in at 2 or 3 minutes til, as they have literally shut the door on people. read more

They have hired some new employees that make coming to this post office a dream! I know the last 2 trips, I haven't had to wait in hardly any lines and the staff was very helpful and pleasant! One employee even gave me some tips for my new small business. I'm always pleased with my experience here lately. Good work! read more

I walked in before the post office opened and there was a lady sweeping the floor that was VERY helpful and nice to me. She saw that I had a passport application in my hand and helped guide me to what I needed without me even asking. Then Mrs. Valerie was amazing! She helped me with my passport, another lady with a shipping dispute and another gentleman with a passport issue all within 15 minutes. She runs a tight ship with a smile. I WILL be back! I ordered and paid for 2 post box keys in December. After returning 2 times, each time waiting in long, slow lines with grumpy, sub-par postal employees, I finally received 1 key in February!!. The extremely unprofessional postal worker stated to me that since I already had 1 key (on my key ring) and 1 key that he just gave to me, I didn't need the 2nd key? Are you kidding me? I have several other people in our office who need a key to access the post box. How inconvenient to have to take a key on and off a key ring. Not to mention that I ordered 2. I paid for 2. I expect to receive 2! I was MORE than upset and extremely frustrated at this point, when I had to explain to the incompetent worker over and over again that I needed the 2 keys and that I had already paid for both. To make matters worse, in my attempt to give the key back, it fell over the counter and out of my reach. At this point the worker called ME rude and asked for the next customer in line. I WILL get my money back or both keys! This post office is where lax clock watchers show up for the paycheck and the pension. I have dreaded going into this post office for years. If I didn't have to, believe me I wouldn't I'll be back to get reimbursed! read more
