They never deliver your held mail on your requested date, rude at the counters and sometimes mail doesn't come at all.

This is the THIRD time the mail lady keeps shoving boxes in ouR mailbox and doesn't seem to understand we CAN'T GET THEM OUT FROM THE FRONT. We have to tear up the cardboard box in order to extract the contents of the box because the box will not come out. We've complained about this before because we ended up destroying a lab test sent to us by prying the box contents out. Evidently she doesn't understand. Then calling the post office, the phone rings with no one picking up. I've kept the phone on speaker for at least an hour and no one picked up. This is abysmal serice and won't stop here. This is the worst excuse for a post office i have ever experienced. read more

The first time going to my local post office and wasn't impressed. It Was 8:35 not crowded so only one lady working. This is your average post office except sometimes it gets a little busier than other locations. My parents live close by but come to this location because the mail gets picked up earlier. I'm assuming thats why this place is always so busy, it must be a hub of some sorts. This place is a full service stop and normally the people working the counter are friendly. Came in for passport appointment on time. We had a few passports to get done so appointment time was for an hr and half. We were not aware we had to have the paperwork completed before coming in. The male worker was very rude and abrupt and condescending. We remained calm and courteous explaining that the website did not instruct us of that and we would try our best to complete all things efficiently. Maria Anna began to take our photos and helped with the rest of the paperwork. She was so sweet and so calm, completely diffusing the anxiety the first worker was spewing. We are so thankful for her. And our appointment did not go over time or make them late (which is some of what the first worker grumbled about). We entered at 10 and left at 11:32 , completing 6 new passports. I have very low expectations when entering a government building, the man lowered the more but Maria was a saving grace! read more

It's very rare that I find a need to go to the post office, but it does happen every now & again. This location serves as the central hub for all of Ponte Vedra and (I believe) most of northeast St. Johns County. On the rare occasion I've had to wait in line, it doesn't take too long and the staff are always pleasant. My mom frequents this location as she does have a PO Box; my grandmother used to as well. While the lobby & box area is accessible whenever you need, the office itself is only open during the week with minimal hours on Saturday. They have a couple drive up drop boxes outside, but for bigger packages, they do have a larger drop chute right inside the lobby. In a rare change of seasons, I actually know our current postal carrier since I am usually home most days when he stops by. read more

Came in for a first time passport appointment. I couldn't find any other post offices in the area with open appointments, so although this one was out of my way, they had the soonest availability. The location on 10700 Beach Blvd had dates, and is the closest one to me, but I have sworn never to go back to that post office ever again. The lady that helped me at the counter was CJ. She was very nice and patient with me as she knew this was my first time applying. Everything was processed in a timely manner even though I got there a little late. It was nice to finally visit a post office where the staff wasn't outright rude to you. read more

Beware of postal delivery trucks. If they damage your property they will not to pay. We live in ponte vedra beach. Our postal delivery person damaged our property driving her truck through our stoned paver retention wall and damaging our lawn. Our landscape architect estimated repairs for the damage will cost $1,050. The delivery lady hit and ran. Our security camera caught her and we reported it to the post office. She finally showed up to take responsibility. But wouldn't give us her insurance. A sheriff had to get involved to get her insurance. We come to find out that she's not insured on the delivery truck she was driving. And she has not offered to pay for the damage she caused. We've sent several emails and went in person to our post office and they are not helpful. This branch allows its delivery drivers to operate delivery vehicles without insurance. Beware if they damage your property. They are operating against the law (without the proper and required insurance) and they are not taking accountability. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Full service post office and the employees are always helpful and courteous. Most of the time, the counter is staffed sufficiently to keep "in-line" wait time to a minimum. This location also hosts a self-service mailing supplies area, the requisite postal mailboxes and a self-service kiosk. There is a postal services kiosk available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. however the kiosk only takes credit cards. There is no copier available to make copies and no passport services, which are found in other locations. Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 5:30pm, Saturdays from 9:00am - 12:30pm and closed on Sundays. Note: The Jacksonville Beach Post Office stays open until 2:00pm on Saturday afternoons. This morning I went to the post office to mail a package. I went up to the counter and said, "Good morning, how r u doing today?" His reply was, "Well I'm here aren't I?" Wow, I am in the customer service business and would never greet a customer that way. After the transaction was completed, I politely asked for a receipt. Mailman from this office has threatened to throw away my mail if I don't check it more often and it's never been full. ILLEGAL!!! So if you're being serviced by this office, you probably have had mail thrown out without your knowledge! But we all know even if a formal complaint is made, nothing will be done, so just watch your mail. read more

I don't know when the felllow frequents this post office but every single time I've gone I 'have had to wait my turn in a line of at minimum three to four people ahead of me. It would not be too bad if one could see that the line is moving steadily if not quickly and that the reason for the slowness of the servers does have a fairlly legitimate reason. This is not and never has been the case. I agree that some of the servers are particularly friendly but this is because they seem to know to whom their speaking in particular. This is not the type of friendliness that everyone in line is accorded; and so this kind of friendliness does not meet the parameters for what makes a friendly staff working in a friendly atmosphere. The atmosphere here is worse than that in many post offices in big cities; this is not to disparage big cities but to use them as a bellwether against which to compare. In that case PVB comes up way short. I do wish I could say something good about this branch of the postal service but cannot if nothing comes to mind. A lot of money was spent on the building of this branch but it doesn't appear evident in the final product. In fact the physical layout can be confusing to someone entering for the first time as there's a lot of space taken up (wasted?) on the right hand side for a wall and tables of mailing items and accessories and other stuff which I believe is for sale (though I've never seen anyone with any of this in hand along with their money to pay) and then it's mixed in with what appears to be the usual packing freebies which are given away, I believe to those who ship on eBay and other online retailers. At least I believe that's the purpose. A large descriptive sign might clear up matters like this. read more
