I have learned my lesson and will no longer be using this location to mail letters, packages, or…read morepurchase a money order. I have been trying to get a money order refund since august, that was never delivered in May. After giving my drivers license with current address to postal attendant to open up a money inquiry. My refund was issued and mailed to a local business in my area. How this huge mistake was made....I really don't know. But I'm still waiting for cooperate office to get it right and issue a refund. As of today, I have a total of 3 first class letters to family members that never arrived. It seems the only thing the Holt post office can get correct is items shipped priority mail. Probably because you can track it. I will be going back to the Collins road location where they provide exceptional customers service.

I assisted, by filling in the bubbles per request, my 96 year old Grandma's absentee ballot. We diligently went through each race and each nominee. I put it in the secrecy envelope and then placed that in the envelope to be sent. On the outer envelope it asks for voter to sign and a section for the person who assisted voter to sign. I signed the envelope. A pretty exciting moment! Lucia and I went to the local post office and dropped in the box. I took a picture of the outside of envelope excited to share that my Grandma had voted to my family. After texting the picture, Leslie Reece Littlejohn said "did she sign it?" I confidently said she did not need to it was only the person who assisted her needed to...then I more closely looked at the instructions and my heart sunk. She was suppose to sign! Ugh. I resolved feeling ok in that she thought she voted at this historic election. But truly nagged me that her vote was not going to count. BUT what Makes America Great is a small town postal office that saw her ballot not signed and drove to her house, had her sign and sent her ballot. It is NOW official vote! Let me tell you, they opened my packages to inspect the contents and held the shipments back from my customers. After they found it was not media mail they handed the packages to my home mail delivery (another nosy, lazy woman) and she proceeded to set them on the ground outside my back door in the rain, opened and unsecured. Why don't they appreciate the steady business I bring them, and keep their nosy selves out of my affairs? They try to play detective which comes across as rude! It wont hurt them a bit to just ship my stuff and mind their own business. Do your job and stop the hating you unruly snobs!! The delivery lady will jam stuff in to my mail box even if it deforms the item or my mail box, to avoid getting off her lazy butt to delivery my packages to the door. Each day i do see my Mail Courier (parked at the end of my street) , but I never actually get my mail, or packages. What I think is going on is they park in the neighborhood, scan the packages as delivered (so the GPS location is recorded...I had two just yesterday) then they deliver your package whenever they feel like it?or it goes missing entirely? Use the mails, use your post office, its one of the few federal services the average person really benefits from having. I have sent tens of thousands of letters in my life and I think they lost maybe 2. If you compared this to the hassle of lost and misdirected emails, there is hardly any comparison for accuracy. Email is cheap and fast, but if you want a nice well done communication that can be most reliably received and archived, letter mail is hard to beat.
