Since we are not here all the time we chose a locking mailbox, which means the post office has to now inspect it and make sure the key provided to them works , that takes 4 to 6 weeks , who knew !? We are going on month three now of having to pick up our mail at the post office. I'm glad this is not my primary address so I don't get that much mail here., I only have to come once every 7 to 10 days because this is the worst Post Office I've ever been to. The last two weeks I've waited in line over 30 minutes and there was no more than five people in front of me both times. (The first time I ever came here and went to the mail pick up window I was told you have to get in line. I'm accustomed to the tiny post office where my primary residence is, if you have to pick up a package, just press the buzzer and someone comes and helps you. Shout out to Indialantic Post Office! I can't for the life of me understand why they have only one employee working up front but even worse he's the rudest most unhelpful postal worker I've ever seen. I've not needed his help, but I spent a lot of time just standing there watching him. In the past two weeks, I have seen him argue with a coworker., tell a woman whose package has been missing and scanned in Jacksonville for the last seven days to go home and go online and fill out a form for somebody in Jacksonville to look for it. The woman stood in line 30 minutes and he couldn't process that request with her? She was an elderly woman she asked him for help with it more than once, and he kept telling her it's easy you could do it yourself and finally she left Today there was a woman probably in her 80s and her daughter immediately in front of me. The mailman that delivers to their house every day had sent them because he didn't know why the 20 magazines this woman has had delivered to her for over 15 years suddenly stopped coming, every single one of them. The guy at the front counter talked to them with a hint of disdain and like they were dumb. First he told her you have to take it up with your carrier and they must've told him five times carrier whatever his name is had sent them there because he has no idea why. By the way he was talking to them you would think they were demanding disgruntled customers when all they asked was if he could look in the back and see if maybe they were being held in a bin and he refused to do that he told her nothing he can do for her. She could wait on the side and a manager would come up. She said OK and moved to the side but he never called the supervisor. He told her he would do it in a minute On the other hand, the African-American gentleman who goes to pull your held mail in the back and bring it to you is the most helpful, pleasant man. They need to switch those guys positions. He should be working at the front counter, and angry, nasty guy with the spiky hair should be working in the back. The rating given is based on five stars for the man pulling my mail in the back and negative one for the front counter guy.

It's always practically empty, so wait times are basically non-existent. They offer all the PO services and are even open on Saturday mornings (no PO Boxes here though). The employees are really friendly and helpful. Maybe it's because they stay bored and they are genuinely happy to see you so they'll have something to do. LOL Even during the rush of Christmas they wait times are practically non-existant. Holy cow what a bunch of privileged white folks (yea I said it) how rude can you all be to cut in line when people are clearly in line and socially distancing. As Judge Judy says, don't pee on my feet and tell me it's raining, you were not in line, I'm not blind, I know who is in front of me. The postal employees put up with your mess all the time and should send your items to Antarctica! These postal folks here are handling things fast and have amazing during the pandemic and instead of patience you hear people asking things like "why are they closing a window". Well maybe they need a lunch Einsteinium! You eat and use the bathroom right? I was very impressed w my visit to the local post office…read more I expected a line w it being the week before a major postal holiday however I was delighted to find all three registers open, being attended by jolly happy postal workers who were working efficiently & quickly as a team. They exchanged pleasantries with everyone - but it seemed different. They actually seemed to be interested in how your day was going. They even made eye contact!! They joked about splitting up stamps & having to decide which cards received which stamp, and so forth. It was a refreshing change in pace of all the holiday running, shopping, cooking & all that jazz. I will look forward to visiting the post office in our lovely new town, even during busy postal times! Enjoy!!

Never heard of it." I told her the NEW stamps were just issued this Summer. Then, I asked her, "You really don't know if you have the International Postcrossing stamps and you work here?"
