Since we are not here all the time we chose a locking mailbox, which means the post office has to now inspect it and make sure the key provided to them works , that takes 4 to 6 weeks , who knew !? We are going on month three now of having to pick up our mail at the post office. I'm glad this is not my primary address so I don't get that much mail here., I only have to come once every 7 to 10 days because this is the worst Post Office I've ever been to. The last two weeks I've waited in line over 30 minutes and there was no more than five people in front of me both times. (The first time I ever came here and went to the mail pick up window I was told you have to get in line. I'm accustomed to the tiny post office where my primary residence is, if you have to pick up a package, just press the buzzer and someone comes and helps you. Shout out to Indialantic Post Office! I can't for the life of me understand why they have only one employee working up front but even worse he's the rudest most unhelpful postal worker I've ever seen. I've not needed his help, but I spent a lot of time just standing there watching him. In the past two weeks, I have seen him argue with a coworker., tell a woman whose package has been missing and scanned in Jacksonville for the last seven days to go home and go online and fill out a form for somebody in Jacksonville to look for it. The woman stood in line 30 minutes and he couldn't process that request with her? She was an elderly woman she asked him for help with it more than once, and he kept telling her it's easy you could do it yourself and finally she left Today there was a woman probably in her 80s and her daughter immediately in front of me. The mailman that delivers to their house every day had sent them because he didn't know why the 20 magazines this woman has had delivered to her for over 15 years suddenly stopped coming, every single one of them. The guy at the front counter talked to them with a hint of disdain and like they were dumb. First he told her you have to take it up with your carrier and they must've told him five times carrier whatever his name is had sent them there because he has no idea why. By the way he was talking to them you would think they were demanding disgruntled customers when all they asked was if he could look in the back and see if maybe they were being held in a bin and he refused to do that he told her nothing he can do for her. She could wait on the side and a manager would come up. She said OK and moved to the side but he never called the supervisor. He told her he would do it in a minute On the other hand, the African-American gentleman who goes to pull your held mail in the back and bring it to you is the most helpful, pleasant man. They need to switch those guys positions. He should be working at the front counter, and angry, nasty guy with the spiky hair should be working in the back. The rating given is based on five stars for the man pulling my mail in the back and negative one for the front counter guy.

It's always practically empty, so wait times are basically non-existent. They offer all the PO services and are even open on Saturday mornings (no PO Boxes here though). The employees are really friendly and helpful. Maybe it's because they stay bored and they are genuinely happy to see you so they'll have something to do. Never heard of it." I told her the NEW stamps were just issued this Summer. Then, I asked her, "You really don't know if you have the International Postcrossing stamps and you work here?" In that moment, she said to another female worker next to her, "Oh Lord, I just had a flashback to yesterday." to which the other lady replied, "Oh, 1776." I was SO put OFF by their racism. The staff is on their A-Game here and I always have a great experience. I've been coming to this location for quite some time now and here recently, they have remodeled the store in order for their staff to work more efficiently and effectively. After visiting a few times since the remodel, I noticed the vibe and it's definitely a good change. Things seem to flow better. From printing labels to doing Amazon returns and having eviction papers notarized to scanning and faxing important documents like contracts, trusts, wills and lease agreements - the employees have handled my issues properly and with professionalism and discretion. It's so appreciated! I really depend on this UPS location to get it right for me. And they do a fantastic job at a reasonable price! She said "don't tell me how to do my job, you don't know how faxes work. I explained that Ive been a computer scientist for over 25 yrs and yes I know how they work. This young lady actually looked at me and said " I can't deal with you, I'm not doing this" and walked away to get someone else to help me. The young man that helped me understood what I was asking for I gladly paid for the extra pages I was adding so that wasn't an issue. The young lady needs to find another profession that doesn't deal with customers. I won't be back to UPS. She made my whole experience there very uncomfortable.

The postal service does a fairly good job at standardization of procedures so many times you get…read morethe same level of service no matter where you go. However, out of all the post offices I have recently visited I enjoy the one in Green Cove Springs the most. I have never had to wait in line longer than two people and the staff is friendly and focused on customer service. The post office is clean and conveniently located downtown. I do work in Jacksonville but if I have to stop by one, the Green Cove Springs office is the one I go to.
