They heckled me when they held onto my package for six weeks, shouting out to the crowd that I don't know how mail works. The day I complained to the postmaster general, my package was scanned as finally leaving the post office within an hour. They kept my son's community post box key for over a year and said that they didn't have it. The day I complained to the postmaster general about how it shouldn't take over a year for somebody to get a key to their mailbox, the key was given to him the next day. Now its been months since we paid to have our mail forwarded, and guess what? They are not forwarding our mail. I think they don't understand how a post office works. read more

I walked in and created a label for my shipment and added it to the box. I walked it up to the counter and the woman literally said "What are you doing in my line?" I replied with, I needed to borrow a pen so I can write the name of the person above the address. She says "don't you have my pen?" I say no. She harasses a customer behind me in line for her pen, woman says no I don't have your pen. She then hands me a pen while mumbling under the breath and I start to write the persons name on my package. She then yells "Step to the side!" And, I shocked, looked at her and said I'm sorry, but what? She yells "you need to step to the side, you are holding up the line!" And i say to her I am a customer. I waited in line. And by this time my name was already written of course because it takes three seconds. I hand her my package she throws it behind her. How in the world does this person work here? She was hostile and combative from the second we spoke. I sent a formal complaint because it was so bad. Never again. I did get a call from someone at the post office regarding my complain. She seemed genuinely concerned with the employees behavior. I told her there are many reviews of this type of behavior online that have spanned the years. She mentioned maybe a lot of people don't report it. I'm not sure if this is true but please report this type of horrible behavior to the post office. Moved into a neighborhood with cluster mailboxes , went to get my mailbox number and key for my mailbox, was told that it could take a month before my mailbox gets rekeyed, and was told they would hold my mail at the post office, have been there 2 times to pick up my mail and they have none of my mail, also caught the mailman one day and there's no mail in my mailbox, so I would like to know where my mail is at? Cause it's not at the post office and not in the mailbox, not even the confirmation of my change of address is anywhere. But I do have informed delivery and it says that my mail should be at my new address, and on the 12th, I had something very important received where ever my mail is from a lawyers office and no one knows where my mail is, ( and that mail alone was addressed to my new mailing address) usps where's my mail????? read more

I reported a package for being missing with big USPS because this location refused to answer the phone. I received an email essentially saying "too bad, so sad." They acknowledge the mistake of their postman, but said we aren't accountable for it because the shipper didn't choose insurance. As long as it isn't coming out of their pockets right!?! I attempted to call them (which they did call twice and both times I was at appointments). When called back I was placed on a "brief" hold that lasted 37 minutes and was disconnected at 12:50 conveniently. I called back and it rang until it just didn't ring any more on 4 more occasions. The woman who answered the phone to put us on hold is the same as the email response we got, Cynthia. I understand it's a business and that they get busy, but being unprofessional and rude is another thing. This location doesn't care and they have proven to be incapable of handling business. Perhaps the next time USPS is in trouble, 8 billion of taxpayer funds shouldn't rescue them if they have no regard for the taxpayer at all. read more

Don't slip anything through the mail slot. Always hand it to a employee and a get a receipt from a person and not a machine. One of the employees that works in the back of this post office. They stole a package from us. They scan the package to make it look like the package left the post office. They stole $100 cash and $100 worth of gift cards for my mother's 78th Birthday. We got the gift cards cancelled. The post office gave us back our $50 insurance that we had on the package plus the shipping. Don't mail out cash. Send a check only and forget the gift cards. It takes a thief to steal a number of times before they get caught. Karma is real and in the end they will get what is coming to them. The Post Office General needs to get rid of the self mail slots. I have never had a single good experience here. I have waited over a year for a key for my mail box after moving into my new place. I was told about two weeks ago that they would re-key my box that day and give me a call so that I could pick up my key. Still no call. I'm forced to have my mail held at this post office until I can get my key, and every time I go to pick up mail it's at least a 30-45 minute wait because of the extremely long line. read more

I experienced 3 overt attempts to thwart my use of 'Registered' mail. 1) When I asked to send registered, she said; "OK, certified?" I said; "Registered, please." 2) She asked me the VALUE of the contents and I answered $400. She said "Oh, we normally do not send Registered unless the contents are valued at $1,000." My response was; "Oh, you want me to declare the value at $1,000? Ok, I declare the contents to be valued at $1,000." I also remarked that the last time I sent registered I was told by the postal employee the value should be $100 or more. (after I got my receipt it stated the value to be $100) 3) The receipt says "Due to the security of Registered Mail, an additional 3-10 delivery days should be added to the expected delivery date provided." After the postage and stickers were applied and paying MORE for the service than the advertised value, I wanted to take a picture of the parcel for POSTERITY's sake and she said, "Oh, we don't allow photos in here." and my response was, that I did not see a sign stating the prohibition of photos. She was sweetly rude and made my experience at the U.S.P.S. less than Okay. My intuition was that the customer service folks are being coached to discourage a necessary service which is required of the POST-OFFICE - the most important (and costly) of the services - Registered Mail. I will be downloading and studying the postal code to prepare for my next visit to send registered mail. I will not be patronizing this location again. read more

This post office is conveniently located. They have all of the services I need and are open great hours so I can run after work if need be. My only issues are that there is never enough staff so the lines are very lengthy and can take a good 20-30 minutes. read more

The only positive thing here is the Big guy with dreads. He's always friendly and helpful.. the women on the other hand are sooooo f'n rude and inconsiderate of anyone's time or needs.. I just need to pick up my mail yet I'm left standing there for 20 minutes ringing the stupid doorbell that no one ever wants to answer. It does not surprise me that this post office has a 1 star rating. If I could give it less I would. Received a call letting me know my mailbox keys were ready so I came 2 hours later to pick them up. When I arrived the line was literally out of the door. After waiting for about 30 mins they explained they could not find my keys anywhere. I spoke to a manager Adrian who said this was typically and was not apologetic but advised that I would be the first call he made the next day for an update. Needless to say, no call. When I called the office to follow up, line goes to the operator and rings some more before hanging up. Today I came in and spoke with a manager Gene and tried to explain my situation but she didn't want to hear it. She asked for my address and went to get my keys. Worst post office. Someone needs to go in and redo everything about this place. Way too busy for there to only be one or two super slow and careless workers. Moved to the area and needed a mailbox key. Had our mail put on hold to be held at this post office while the key was made. Was told it would take two weeks to two months to have my key made.. took three and a half months. Half way through the months, they lost my "hold mail" slip. Always make the problems your fault. Terrible service, extremely rude and uncaring. My stuff never gets delivered because I "don't have a secure location" what's my porch? Half the time I have to fight to get my things redelivered. Long lines (20-30 minutes) Shipping products are never restocked My mail in the 32244 area has been lost or not delivered on multiple occasions (10+ times in a few month span) including important documents, and expensive merchandise. Packages to my home with merchandise were marked delivered on multiple occasions (on days I was home waiting for the mail) and nothing was delivered. I finally called the postmaster after it happened again recently and the "delivered" package was still on the mail truck. I called the postmaster another time to report my mail not being delivered and possibly stolen and they laughed and told me to get a PO box. The service they provide is a joke and will cost you your time and money. There is definitely something shady going on at this USPS location. Use another shipping service if possible. read more

I really don't even want to give them a half star. I have lived at my address for 14 years and constantly get my mail delivered at the house on the next block over and I get mail for that address at my house. It's really bad when my husbands insulin is delivered over there and no one is home to get it out of the heat. Why should I have to stress over my husband's medication that he needs to stay alive being delivered to the wrong address when the label clearly shows the correct address just because the carrier does not take the time to read the address? I have spoke with neighbors on both blocks and they have the same issues. I know it is illegal to go into someone else's mailbox or take packages from their door but that is what I constantly have to do. However, by the same token shouldn't it be illegal for the mail carrier to constantly leave my mail at the wrong address! read more
