There is only ever one person working the counter causing a constant 7-10 person line and a 30minute wait. You can hear people just laughing in the back and not helping. If they staffed a second person they could clear the lines efficiently since some customers require some more time. read more

It's the most wonderful time of the year.... Not at the Odenton post office. I thought the lines at the MVA were bad, but this post office could give them a run for their money. It's the holiday season and the line is out the door. Perhaps increasing the staff at the counter? Or making an express line for people that just want to purchase stamps? Not to mention the 2 workers who are staffing the counter are working at a snail's pace. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Bah humbug! Update: After standing in line for over 30 minutes, a total of 4 people were helped. The line was at least 20+ people deep and I had to jump ship due to a doctor's appointment. So much for mailing out my Christmas cards on my day off. Don't plan on coming here during your lunch break. As a matter a fact, do yourself a favor and just don't come here at all. read more

United States Postal Service - Line out the door and staff working at a snail's pace. Sigh. - Post Offices Near Me - Odenton, Maryland

Just tried dropping off a package. Would not help me because my box was not taped shut - which I get that, but, every other post office I have been to has let me use their tape. This Post office would not unless I was sending my package over night - which started at $35. I already had the label done, I just needed to borrow some tape and they told me I had to pay for it. When I told them I would send the package over night, they still made me get out of line to use the tape for 5 seconds - after I had already spent my entire lunch break in line -- HORRIBLE customer service. I left with my package still in hand. I will sending the package either FED EX or UPS. read more

Very helpful staff here & so pleasant. It's small but efficient & cozy. Unfortunately like so many post offices under DeJoy these days --it needs a little updating & love. So I thought... long lines on Friday morning, wasted precious time, and a wonder why in 2018 people still come here (I came here just because I needed to send an official letter and needed a stamp showing it was sent that day. This post office has had my package for more then 3 weeks and I have called and they said they don't find the location of my package! They still have it at their location and I am moving in 4 days and I am mad I may not get it in time! They need to have better delivery and be more cautious with peoples packages! Its a post office what can you say.. I went in on the last shipping day to get presents home for Christmas so of course the lines were out of the door.. The postal workers did all they could to help people and to keep the lines moving.. Not really their fault that people came to the post office completely unprepared to ship their items!! The fact that i was in and out in under an hour on one of the busiest shipping days of the year I cant complain.. maybe that will change if I go back on a day thats not so busy.. read more

I love my visits to this location and all of the comfort they offer through my confusion at how to mail things one way or the other! This post office is disgusting! The staff is rude, and not helpful at all (Please remove Shela from that equation, she was the ONLY happy encounter I had one visit). They we're just driving past our development for a month after we've moved in, and had to continually drive to the office to pick up our mail. They wouldn't even drop off the residents mail at our leasing office! If that wasn't bad enough, when picking up our mail for our house. They gave me the mail for the ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT! Uhm, hello, red flag?? Whose to say i'm an honest and trust worthy person? Hello new AMEX, Mastercard, and Visa. Lets go shopping! I was flabbergasted...but -being- that trust worthy person, I brought the mail to our leasing office so they could distribute it to our neighbors here. After multiple calls to the customer service number, issue has been resolved finally. p.s. that Old hunched over man needs some prozac or something, always grumpy! People can be cruel I move to Odenton about 2 years ago and frequent this Post Office. Yes the lines are long and it's time consuming but customer service have always been good to me. Keep up the good work! read more

Overall I am satisfied with the postal service. I mail various packages and it gets there at a reasonable time and low price. Now the actually post office building at this location is another thing in itself. I understand they are attempting an effort at cutting cost but to have only one person working the counter during the holiday period is ridiculous. Plus as many of you know when someone is mailing a package it seems like they are doing something they have never done before with all the questions they have. This leads to a backup and on this particular day all I wanted were stamps. This post office is very small and maybe only eight to ten people can stand in line in the actual office before having to stand next to the PO boxes. I was just curious as to why this post office does not have the amenities I have seen in others such as a machine that dispenses stamps or allows you to weigh and mail your packages without seeing a postal representative. I truly believe that is these machines were in more post offices lines would be significantly reduced. Also the computer systems are very slow with some of the registers only able to accept cash. This building is very old and parking is a hit and miss as it is in the Odenton Shopping Center where it shares spaces with other establishments. Please remember that if you have plenty of packages. As I said the service is not bad but there could definitely be a few updates here and there to speed up service for customers. read more

We are a small business so we frequent this location or have scheduled pick ups. Our mailman is excellent! The two clerks are great too. I only have issues when our regular mailman is on vacation, but I have since spoken with the new supervisor. Overall good service. read more

Every time I go there is an incredibly long line . Also I purchased a P.O. Box so I wouldn't have to pick up my mail and have told them to take the hold off my mail 3 times now . It is the biggest inconvenience , why did I even pay for the PO box if they won't put the mail in my box ? read more

I was supposed to have medicine delivered today, but the moron they assigned to my complex is either illiterate, lazy, or both, because he didn't deliver the meds to the correct address. I called the post office and their brilliant suggestion- after I mentioned what the meds were- was to "call back tomorrow." Seriously? It's a good thing I have a few pills left. Whoever delivers mail to the Town Center Commons needs to be fired for absurd levels of incompetence. I already had my W-2 mailed to the wrong house, but this takes the cake. read more
