Never had a problem, and usually quick service. I've been to this location a few different times for a few different reasons to get passport pictures and get processed and to mail things along with getting stamps. From the 3 or 4 different experiences I have had I have found the line to go very quick and generally be a not very busy location so I am usually in-and-out within 2 minutes which I really appreciate that I don't typically find with other branches. For this reason is my go to place if I have a choice and the time for when they are open. I will say it is a very busy shared parking lot so you will absolutely have to do a little bit of walking. read more

If you're thinking about getting your mail sent here, you might as well forget about it. The sheer unprofessionalism and rudeness of the staff that works here is baffling to say the least. Especially the woman who was working on 5/27 who would rather argue with me than assist me. If I could negative star I would. Kamal is what the woman behind the desk (said her name was) is very rude would not assist me as I had 4 large boxes and was carrying my baby in a carrier and had other child with me. Literally other people around helped because she would not (said it's not her job). Then she proceeded to order my 11 yr old child around to move the boxes for her (speaking to her as if she's not even a person). Very horrible customer service absolutely not the type of service I would expect especially on a base. I will not be returning not even for the convenience that it's on base. ZERO stars. Kamal is a terrible person to be working at a place that involves you having compassion and care for handling someone else's belongings. She was extremely rude to not only me but every person in there. She had no kind answers or even helpful information. She is also refusing to change the locks on my mailbox from the previous tenant as I have essential supplies in there needed for my paralyzed dog's care that I've been without for weeks due to her laziness. read more

Absolutely rude! Frankly, I don't know how these people have a job. No exaggeration, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I have been going in there for about 3 years and ever single interaction I have had in there has been horrible. I only continue to go because it's convenient, but today was the last time. After our interaction, I made a comment to the effect of, "okay, thank you, I just don't know why you needed to be so rude about it" to which she responded with words to the effect of, "I don't know why YOU PEOPLE always think that" to which I responded back, "clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that, so maybe the problem is you." I do my very best to be calm and understanding, especially in situations where someone is helping me, but this lady was an absolute atrocity. She needs to go ... I remember some of the same people from the counter when I mailed my packages out 10 years ago. Some of them seem a little disgruntled these days and one woman always seems irritated that I want to mail out a box. But I had one gentleman the other day who was very helpful and friendly. I was quite pleased. He wasn't overly chatty or anything, just provided excellent customer service. I wish I had remembered his name. Located on Fort Meade next door to the bowling alley and the commissary, this post office is convenient for those who need to conduct business and get back to work. Of note, it is minimal in size so there is no kiosk where you can weigh and ship your package yourself like in some of the post offices elsewhere. You'll have to stand in line and see a person to conduct your business. The line moved fast and all of the employees were pleasant and offered suggestions on the most economical way to ship your items and spoke about the various products they had available without being over the top and pushy about it. There are PO Boxes available and the ability to get your passport application and photos done here. I'll admit that some other post office locations have done away with offering pens, priority tape or other supplies but here, they had a receptacle for pens, plenty of priority tape (for priority shipping of course) and were even helpful to a customer who was going to buy bubble wrap but offered him some left by a previous customer. Plenty of shipping materials such as various priority mail boxes and decorated boxes if you wanted something a little more festive to ship your goods in. Parking is shared by the adjacent lot for the commissary and bowling alley but if you have to park a little ways off, the walk will do you good. read more

Horrible Service. I have had three packages wrongfully returned claiming improper postage in the last two days and it's a lie. I had another post office confirm my so called insufficient postage packages and they said the Ft. Meade USPS is known for its poor service and lazy management. I dropped off eight packages pre-labeled and the manager asked my for a slip. I had no clue what he was talking about and he said if you drop numerous packages you need a slip to make his job easier. Apparently I pissed him off because now all my properly labeled packages are being returned to my home hand marked insufficient postage. This has to be illegal. It certainly is a waste of my money. I will pursue official channels to provide feedback and to investigate. read more

Wow. Went to this office for the first time today and came across the most miserable and rude employee and her name was Kamal. I came up to the desk and she made me wait until she was finish reading something from the site manual book. Doesn't matter. You have a customer waiting, hold whatever you're doing and simply say "hi! How can I help you?" I asked her which package is the best for the item (showed it to her). My goal is low cost but quick delivery. She's like, the box you're holding is free. Um ok. Nothing's free. Obviously deliver cost money. She didn't bother to check the prices or actually took a good look at my item or even made the effort. The box I was holding was pretty big. I asked for something smaller. She took the closest thing to her (she didn't even move) and pick an envelope. It wouldn't fit. So I took in the big box and worked on packaging it. I saw another box that was a perfect fit. I was pissed that she was lazy to even help me out with variety options. She haven't even smiled once. Horrible customer service. This is the absolute worst post office I have ever been to...I am all about customer service and can honestly say this is my first time writing a bad review on here, but something has got to change. The women and men who work the front counter are some of the rudest people I have ever done business with in my life. They are not helpful and always seem annoyed if you have any questions. I have only been using this PO for a few months and I cannot remember the last time anyone actually told me to have a nice day or thank you. Closes at 4:55, not 5:00, which is a violation of federal law. Employees are both rude and lazy. While waiting in line about a half dozen times, I have witnessed one of the employees (Middle Eastern or East Indian, I believe) be snappy & condescending to customers.
