This is the closest post office to me. I have been here many times to ship, return thing, buy stamps and for my passport. USPS just dropped new Low Rider forever stamps. I came here and they had plenty. There was also zero line at 2:00 pm on a Friday. Usually in the late afternoon the lines get long. If I have to go to the post office I really like this one. Michaella and Denise are both very friendly. They have worked here for years. The only downside is they close at 5:00pm and are closed on weekends. Came here to get my child's passport done. Our appointment was 2:30pm. The lady Phuong opens her door at 2:40pm and said we were late. We got there around 2:15pm. The first thing she said was "you are late and must reschedule." This post office hired lazy people here that just does not do want to do their work. They clock in and want to clock out right away. Phuong is in the wrong profession. She needs to figure things out because clearly this job is not for her. If you read their reviews on passport service it's pretty bad. I wish i had done that before coming here. We spoke to the postmaster regarding the incident. Then Phuong came out to ask us to go into her office to get the passport done. We were like "No, we are not taking any chances on you messing up our application." We made an appointment elsewhere. DO NOT COME HERE FOR PASSPORT SERVICE. Don't come here for getting your passport , go to a different location! Came 3 times this week, and each time they made me reschedule. so unfair! I had a package delivered to my home and when I checked the tracking, it was noted as package returned - insufficient address. I discovered I had made an error in my address- put in 1117 instead of 117 - and quickly sent an email to USPS. I received a call the next day letting me know that my package was going to be delivered that day. I have to vent somewhere....I am absolutely fed up with our mail delivery in Stanton, California. You never know what time of day (mostly evening deliveries) the mail is going to be delivered or picked up. For some reason we do not have a regularly assigned mailman. We have clients that have paid for Priority and Express Mail services to which they are never delivered on the next day as promised. A big waste of money to pay for USPS services that are not honored. I run a business from home, however, I am still so disappointed in not even having our personal mail delivered in a timely manner. This is my closest USPS and I have never had any issues. Everyone has always been friendly and helped answer all my questions whenever I've needed to ship things out. When you walk in it's the area with the wall drop and to the left is where you form a line to get services. As for the wait, if you create an online USPS account then you can print your label at home and drop it off here. Easy as 1-2-3. That's been a new thing I've been trying out and it's been convenient. Otherwise try coming with extra time. You can also buy stamps online with cute designs as they have a large selection along with other postal supplies. Remember if you need only stamps they sell them at Stater Bros too ;). Not sure about other stores, I will find out. I am very much for saving our post offices and I hope others realize how much we need to keep this public service not privately run. If it's broke let's try to fix it but not give it away to corporate interests. The only place I could make a passport appointment because every other location didn't have any openings. The building is outdated, parking lot is spacious. We arrived around 1:50 PM for a 2 PM appointment. The parking lot was empty. We were seen right away. The front desk girls were super friendly and helpful. I made the mistake of making only one copy and she directed us to go around the building to get another copy. Phoung then helped us with our kids' passports. She was so friendly and helpful. The process was quick and a lot less stressful than when we went to the post office in Long Beach on Grand. read more

They quietly stopped delivering to my grandpas house with no word. When asked the office what happend, they said they heard about it today but it happened on the 9th. A whole week later. Regardless... I have footage of the mailman and the " incident", where my dog startled him threw my grandpas gate, and I walking back up to him to say hello. He said hello and walked off. He told the office my dog got threw the gate. My dog is an aggressive barker but never goes threw the gate. Racists all around. I was at the post office and tried to help these girls in front of me who understood English but needed a little help and seemed to be fluent in the language that I also speak as I heard them talk to each other. This man behind me told us all to speak English or get out of the country because he doesn't want us here anyway. I told him I can speak whatever language I want and it's none of his business. I started recording him only to have him try to hit and grab the phone out of my hand TWICE. Turns out the video was not recorded because of that. And all I have left is the phone # of the girl who said she would be a witness if I planned to report him. Everyone else in the entire post office stood back in silence. This is the country we live in. What a shame. If you are ever a silent bystander, you should feel ashamed. Nobody offered to tell him to shut it or help me. I paid for 2 day shipping for an item. It was expected to be delivered 3/27 before 9pm. It never came, but ok no big deal, I went online and used the option to redirect the package to be left at the USPS facility. I wanted to be sure my package was available for pick up because I was leaving out of town before my mail typically gets delivered, and that's why I paid extra for the 2 day service as well. I called Usps customer service to be certain, stayed 45 on hold and I was ok with even that, but once they got on the line they confirmed they got my instructions, and assured me it was at this location awaiting my pick up. I got there at 9am, they said my package was not there, and that it was out for delivery. I asked to speak to the manager who was not only unsympathetic to my concerns she was insulting and rude. When I said this is why I paid extra for 2 day delivery she said "show me on the paperwork where is says guaranteed?" I said it doesn't it says expected, she said "you're right, expected is not guaranteed, and you should have paid extra for guaranteed if that's what you wanted." I explained to her all that had taken me to being here and that I was told by customer service that it was here for pick up and she replied "they don't communicate to us, and I should have called them directly not customer service." I said I tried to call you guys but when you search online they only give the 800 number. She said many customers figure it how to get their number and she didn't know what to tell me. It wasn't just the the fact that she didn't offer any recognition that what I was experiencing wasn't my fault, and not even that she was rude and insulting, but the entire time she had an attitude like she was pissed that she even had to speak with me. I've been coming for the past month asking for postcard stamps . No one told anyone that at least one person had asked for a roll of postcard stamps. I came in a couple days ago wanting to ship a package containing "live animals". I have never shipped these animals before but I have received them many times. They are snails and roaches for aquariums and for feeding lizards. Completely harmless. I had previously checked on the USPS website to look at guidelines for shipping animals, and also asked a staff member in BP in the past. They said its all good, just let us know. Frankly it's not all good. When trying to send my package I told them it was live animals and they had absolutely no idea what to do. They freaked out, filed through papers and went in the back to ask another employee. About a minute later someone came out and said "its a no go" we cant ship it, try UPS or fedex. I did not have my phone on me so I couldn't bring up he web pages stating the guidelines, but I informed them there was one. They denied being able to ship them and "have never shipped them". So you mean to tell me instead of doing your job and trying to help the customers, you send me to your competitor? Unbelievable. Fix the websites information, or please inform your rude, uneducated staff about proper business educate. This is not the first time this branch has disappointed me. Nor are they interested in solving the issue or even making an attempt to understand what's going on. All they are capable of doing is reading what their computer shows and say they don't have it. Well, if you don't have then find out where it is, if the package is sent through you then it is in YOUR responsibility to figure it out. This is the absolute worst place I've been. We were a part of the relocation program for the Tahiti Motel and the postmaster General, along with Sean Theile of American Family Housing, both decided to return all of our mail back to sender from here on out. Then we're told we can't put a hold on our mail, can't get a p.o. box or physical mailing address, and I cant even find any contact information for the postmaster to find out what the hell to do next. We will be homeless now in 2 days. My dad is in a coma and all of the mail that was going to him is getting sent back. How will we even know who we're supposed to contact to change the addresses if we don't even get the mail in the first damn place?! Is this how my dad gets repaid for dedicating 35 years to the city? My family has lived in stanton since before there were any houses even here! I cant forward my mail anywhere either since the tahiti is a buisness address and since we can't get our mail, we can't Register our cars or to vote. She had no solution for me and my lost package and said she couldn't help me at all because I didn't have package insurance! Really?!? I'm not sure what is going on at this post office. A couple weeks ago I mailed a textbook and a few other items from here. One item was scanned as "accepted" one day later and left to the sorting facility in Bell Gardens the following day. Several other packages were not scanned for two days. The textbook sat there for over 3 days before they did anything with it! I used to mail packages here in the past and although I disliked going here due to some difficult employees, my items always departed from this location promptly. What happened? Because of car troubles I begrudgingly dropped off some packages Friday and this past weekend. I knew they weren't going to do anything with them till Tuesday due to the Monday holiday, but there is no activity on any of my shipments. As a part-time eBay and Amazon seller this can really hurt me as far as my feedback and seller ratings go. What are my customers going to think when they see I bought the postage days ago and then they see days later it "appears" at the post office? It's bad enough many of my shipments seem to float around the Bell Gardens sorting facility for several days but now they sit around Stanton P.O. for a few days too. Another big issue I've encountered are some of the employees are determined to charge you the most possible. They try to charge me the rate for shipping a parcel to mail a 6" x 9" envelope that is only a few ounces and well under the "over 3/4" thick is a parcel" rule. This often doubles or even triples my cost. Another common one is a fee for mailing an envelope with a metal clasp, even though I already removed the clasp from the envelope. To make my way too long of story short, absolutely do not mail anything from this post office that needs to get to it's destination on time (like a bill, birthday gift etc) read more

I stayed home waiting for the package but nothing came. They said they were for sure they delivered it and left it at the front door. I ask if they were sure, maybe the mailman deliver to the wrong house, she was offended ams said they have top delivery personal here. She also said if I wanted to garentee my package, maybe I should pay more for insurance. She gave me a number to file a complaint. I was on hold for 45 min and got hung up. Fast forward, 4 days later a package came to my house. Not mine, not my family. It was for a house 4 houses from mine. It said fragile express delivery. Missed delivered. Fail.
