Tomb of Pharaoh escape room review. It was an escape room. We've done 40+ rooms so far and this wasn't immersive in theming, nor puzzles. I found very few puzzles engaging or unique. I felt dissatisfied at the lack of anything clever or "showy". (I don't need both, but at least one should be present). It was marked as a harder room and there were very few, mostly linear,puzzles. I found our game master adequate considering the circumstances. I would recommend going to other escape rooms in the area. read more

My friends and I did the killers lodge and it was fairly fun. There were parts that were easy and than difficult. We definitely didn't complete it lol The one thing we did not enjoy was at the end when the time ran out, when I asked if they could show us what to do next and how it would've been completed to the very end and the worker she said sorry we don't have enough time to go thru all of that to show you. Now, ive been to 6 different escape rooms and they have always showed us what we were supposed to do and how it would have ended and it only takes a minute or two to show us. Instead we were encouraged to come back and spend money to try again, which left us feeling cheated out of the full experience. read more

Luckily we found Unity Escape Rooms AND they were local, affordable, and had available times for bookings. We chose A Killer's Lodge and it was definitely a challenging experience. Only reason I leave a bad review is so that people don't waste their hard earned money on a room that doesn't work. The locks feel like they were left outside in the rain to rust and the props need to be placed perfectly in order for them to work. You get what you pay for when it comes to escape rooms so it's expected to have less quality but not to the point where you have to bring your own bolt cutters to open a combination lock. I wish I could give this place a better review but it was simply unenjoyable. If you have an itch to spend $30+ I recommend burning the money in a fire pit that way you can enjoy the flame longer than you will enjoy the game read more

Well, we didn't escape. But the low score on this review is not just sour grapes; there are some major problems with the game design and customer service at Unity. The room we didn't escape from apparently required a minimum party of four, but they still let us sign up with a party of two without telling us. This turned out to be a problem because puzzles didn't become available to us until we got free of handcuffs and made our way to a secondary room, in which you find more puzzles that would have already been solved by the time you get to them if your party had been the correct size. The game guide specifically told us that everything we needed to solve the puzzles would be chest high or below, but three separate puzzles were hidden up high (one was literally hidden in the ceiling). The biggest problem in the design was that they tried too many gimmicks too soon. You start handcuffed to the wall and need to solve combination locks that require two hands to open... while you can't see the lock because you can't hold a flashlight while operating a two-hand lock with one hand cuffed to the wall. I actually hurt my wrist trying to manipulate everything. There is strategic difficulty, and there is poorly designed difficulty. Unity apparently practices the latter. Save your money and go where the game design is actually meant to be solvable. read more

I recently did an escape room at Unity Escape Rooms and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. When my group arrived, we were immediately met with an empty lobby and no staff present to greet us, which already felt unprofessional. When the employee assisting us who is named Sadie (dark hair, dark eyes) finally came out, she seemed uninterested and like she didn't want to be there at all--definitely not the welcoming or enthusiastic energy you expect from an escape room host. She was wearing pajamas, as if she was ready for bed which raised eyebrows for me and my group. During the game itself, our group was visibly struggling and had to ask for hints multiple times. The hints we received were inconsistent, unhelpful, or delayed. At one point, we were completely stuck on a specific clue and eventually asked directly for the code. It took three separate requests before we finally received it. In every other escape room we've done, staff actively help when they can clearly see a group is stuck, so this lack of support really hurt the experience. Overall, the lack of engagement, poor assistance, and unprofessional attitude of the staff made the escape room feel low-quality and frustrating rather than fun. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we won't be returning. If you do decide to come here, make sure Sadie isn't working. read more

We got a flat tire and were waiting for a new tire at mountain view across the street. We tried to walk in to an escape room but there weren't any availabilities. Jesse still let me and my 9yo daughter sit and enjoy the air conditioning- it was 100° outside! The other worker also offered us bottled water. They're so nice! Just visited Unity Escape Rooms. As an avid escape room enthusiast, I was moderately disappointed in the experience. My party attempted the Pharaoh's Tomb, upon which were met with a lackluster room design, with heavy emphasis on lock puzzles. One specific puzzle was not intuitive, a bit illogical (we had to ask for clarification a few times). It was also hard to concentrate as we could hear an adjacent game in another room going on. The staff didn't seem that enthusiastic, either. There are plenty of other escape rooms in the area that feel more immersive and are more value for your money. read more

He gave us some recommendations and answered all my questions, since this will be my first time here and my children will meet with their friends ages 10-12 . Jennifer front desk check in she was also friendly. Somehow there was a mix up with my online release of responsibility on the app . Jennifer helped me along the process. He was amazing we needed help a few times because some of the things we needed to look for were a bit difficult for us and he was amazing at giving clues. We had a blast. The process to having access to the next room was so confusing. Game master didn't explain nothing nor was present during the game (via walkie-talkie) We asked for clues multiple times and they were unresponsive. Kept asking through the cameras and zero response. Came here with my friends Mari & Kel for Kel's birthday. Lexi was our Game Master and really made our escape room experience enjoyable! We chose to do the Kitchen Nightmare room today and the room was a blast! Perfectly decorated and we really felt immersed. Lexi was always available to help us when needed/asked and was able to guide us in the right path (when we were obviously stuck, or had done something NOT QUITE the way we needed to) and we were able to escape with 8 minutes to spare! Not sure why this place has such high ratings. I figured it would be a bad experience when we walked in when we met the game master. Young lady had zero personality, made us feel unwelcome. The room was poorly done as well. Puzzles were okay but design and RP factor was low. However, the price tag was good but you get what you pay for right? We didn't have a good experience with this escape room. Mostly because the staff was very rude and gave us an attitude from the moment we arrived. He was not friendly and showed no passion or interest in what he does. When we first arrived we were told to store our belongings, he used a commanding tone before anyone of us said anything, then we were told to watch an instruction video "watch the screen" and he slammed the door on us very hard. We immediately felt the unwelcomeness as if he had bad group before us. But he didn't need to bring that upon my friends and me. It ruined the experience for us pretty much. The room we played was small and plain, with almost no challenge. We have been to other escape rooms in the area, I really cannot recommend this place. This review is based off our experience on 7/30. My party and I were excited to do a scary escape room as we've done others in the past and found a scary one would be an interesting take. While the escape room itself was challenging and fun, the lady working the 6:35 timeframe was extremely RUDE, unnecessarily condescending and ILL mannered right from the start! We weren't there for more then 5 minutes before she actually said "anymore dumbass questions" I was literally shocked by what she said but gave her the benefit of the doubt because maybe she was having a bad day or had a mental disorder (who knows). Let me tell you, her attitude was so disgusting throughout the hour that everyone in our party felt not only discouraged but ready to just end our time there but we thought we'd stick it out. It seemed like she was very bothered by us asking for clues so we stopped asking so we could avoid her gross demeanor. Even then, she actually was reaching out to us over the walkie talkie to interrupt our game to say a sarcastic comment. I understand working with the public can be a tiresome position especially probably with Escape Rooms but me and my party (compromised of all family), were the utmost respectful, didn't ask obvious questions and were not disruptive so her actions were totally uncalled for. We really should've addressed our concerns with her right after but we thought what would be the point - it's not like we will ever be back to try the other rooms because of her. The girl working(6/30)was not friendly. I've been to another escape room elsewhere and their workers had personality that resonated with the games, this one seemed unwelcoming and honestly gave attitude when we'd ask for clues. The room was constantly breaking! We're handcuffed to the room and the handcuff kept coming off the wall. The tv wouldn't turn on for the clue and took her a while to program and we didn't get out time paused despite her saying that she would. One of the clues involved keys and one of the keys got misplaced before we entered the room. One of the lasers for a clue wouldn't turn on so we didn't know how to solve it until we asked about it. This review is specific to the Tomb of the Pharaoh. My group has collectively done over 30 escape rooms. The Tomb of the Pharaoh fell short in a couple key areas and would not recommend it. * Broken puzzles and locks. 1) we tried the correct code on one lock 6+ times before it opened 2) the proctor interrupted our game and asked us to "just pull [a broken mechanism] until it opened" and 3) the proctor actually entered the room to manipulate another lock and then just override the mechanism. * Very few opportunities to work on multiple puzzles in parallel. Puzzles were too sequential. If you have a bigger group (3+) it means that some people will not be occupied. * One very illogical puzzle, where the solution required you to ignore implied sequence We could tell that the staff themselves were frustrated by our experience as they knew how the room ought to function. read more

I wasn't able to get the handcuffs off of me or anyone of my group mates but he came in and helped me. Since we were so close to escaping he gave us a few minutes to successfully escape! A killer's lodge was my first thriller escape room. My team of four was separated into two groups and it was engaging. We were blindfolded and handcuffed. I was quite frustrated at times, but it is totally doable! My team escaped with no hints and 18 minutes remaining. The ambiance was the right amount of creepy and I got a good scare in there. The gentleman who helped us (didn't catch his name but he had a beard and glasses) was very helpful! He answered all of our questions before and after our escape.
