I got work done on my 2008 Prius multiple times here. This place is even WORTH LA friends driving to Vegas TO just get their hybrid car worked on by Boris. This place is not an everyday oil change place, alignment or such. This place is just repairs, replacements, the big stuff, electrical, etc. But he can also program your car keys if you supply the fob aftermarket, or even OEM silver logo ones. You can call to ask, or message via Yelp. Your old to new hybrid (my 2008 Prius) is in great hands with Boris!!! Prices are already printed like a menu (transparent). No sales pitch, straight forward. Work done includes - 5/2026 749.56 coolant valve, water valve, Combination Meter capacitor - Coolant Control Valve (code: P1121), and 100uF capacitor upgraded to a 220uF 25V SMD. Warranty on this soldering work. - 7/2026 200.00 full light replacement of passenger front light with used part. Due to distrust in just the car repair industry, I had looked up how to do things correctly or what parts are correct. BORIS already knew everything I was talking about and does it the correct way. When my anxious self is over worrying about an inverter pump, he suggest to check it before just wanting to replace anything in working conditions. = Not greedy and trying to replace for the heck of it, or abuse someone's stress/anxiousness. Prius Issues experienced before finding Boris: - Dashboard and backup camera disappearing completely, trunk not being able to open when car is on, etc. - Light replacement. It isn't a ballast LED light situation. Humidity/rain would get into the light. No matter any caulking/sealing done too. Another shop was going to charge ALOT more and said it needed to be NEW OEM parts from Toyota dealership. Online mentioned that an old but well inspected light would work. Fixes: Front Office check-in. 5/2026 I came in for: 1. Coolant Control Valve (code: P1121). I have a plug-in tool with phone app to check codes on my car. The app told me two code, both of explains some issues. - Needs to be replaced the 3-way valve with a Genuine Toyota OEM part. And needs to be performed with a full vacuum bleed and change coolant. Boris already does it this way. 2. Combination Meter Soldering. -  I want to keep my original board to preserve mileage. I wanted an upgraded capacitor too. From original 100uF, I wanted to upgrade to the 220uF 25V SMD. Boris already does it this way. 7/2026 Called Boris the day before if he can find a full light replacement. He said yes and will let me know. He called back the next morning and found one. 3. Passenger full light replacement. Not just the bulb. Online tips: Match the Trim: - Ensure it's specifically for an HID-equipped Prius (06-09 models). - Avoid Halogen Swaps: Do not let anyone talk you into buying a "standard" Prius headlight assembly. The plugs are different, and the car's computer isn't set up to dim them properly without a complex wiring overhaul. - Check the "Tabs": Used headlights often have broken plastic mounting tabs from the donor car's accident. Ask him to make sure the mounting points are intact. There is a small lobby with couch and a seat.
