Why pay for an overpriced exide battery with am Interstate sticker and have to deal with these clowns?

Mistakes happen I understand. But usually when that happens and you try to get the problem corrected at a local shop you end up getting someone telling you to call corporate and they give you a 1-800 number to call. Not at this business. They worked with me directly to get the situation resolved 100% and took owned the responsibility. This is very refreshing to see these days as it always seems that no one wants to own a mistake and tell you too bad, call corporate. Customer Service insanely bad from tech. Service tech was looking at my battery to try to install and was swearing in front of me and throwing an absolute tantrum walking off. He at one point handed me the electric drill asked me if I wanted to try. Are you kidding me This place is not even real. Not to mention they knew my battery was under the seat to only tell me once I was there 45 min drive they don't do under seat batteries. No seat removal needed. read more

I understand Interstate Battery Service has a reputation of excellent battery however I purchased my battery from them back in 2021. It came with a 5 year warranty. The battery is bad now. I had them tested it. They confirmed it is bad. They gave me a 1.5 year credit but the battery with installation fee still cost almost $300. How is that possible when I purchased a 5 year warranty??? I'm literally paying for a new battery. Don't waste your time purchasing a battery here. For a better price go to Costco or Auto Zone. Whatever battery you buy if it goes bad before the warranty they replace it for free. I have never had an issue especially with Auto Zone. It is very disappointing considering I paid the same amount back in 2021 thinking this battery will last me 5 years but it died before the 5 years. It should still have 1.5 years left since I paid for the most expensive one they have. From now on I am going to Costco or Auto Zone. read more

I am leaving this review because after my experience with Interstate All Battery Center I feel like I went to The Twilight Zone and somewhere in Las Vegas Rod Sterling is smoking a cigarette and filming me in my episode??? I had to replace the battery in my corvette on June 2 of this year and wound up calling Pop a Lock for assistance. The tech arrived and replaced the battery and I did not realize it was a battery that would cause havoc in my Corvette because it did not hold the voltage at 13+. So I called and asked for another battery and was told they would reach out to me or I could bring the battery to the Battery Center. I opted for just getting it done and went over to the Center. I told them the issue and they said they would have to test the battery but it was under warranty. Thought no problem, go for it. The tech at the center came over tested the battery and found out it was not charging. So i went in and talked to a different associate, younger than the first, who by the way is their employee of the month! The new associate told me the new battery would be $400+dollars?????!!!! I asked if they would allow me to pay the difference of $230 and she answered yes no problem( figured a $400 battery would come with an install??) She called the tech and said they would meet me outside. I was out in the heat for about 20 minutes and could feel the old theme song from The Twilight Zone playing as there were no other customers and no tech with a battery?? I decided to go inside and Their Employee of the Month looked at me as if I had a third eye growing from my brow and I asked her about the battery. She said it was out on the rack near the door! I was then waiting maybe they were going to install it or give me the tools to do it? She then turned and walked away. I picked up the battery and then brought it home now wondering Did they want the old battery back??? So I called and Pam answered to dispel the confusion and let me know yes they did need this back. Now I had to run this battery back and the younger associate thanked me for bringing it back and their Employee of the Month was sitting at the front. I asked the younger associate if this is a common thing of people having to go home and then bring back the old battery? She said no we usually take care of that.Twilight Zone moment! Why was I not offered this service ??? I was done by this point and will probably not return to this place for service again. I have been in the Customer Service Industry for over 40 years and will always bend over backwards for my guest/customer ( hence the CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY). I was made to feel like a nuisance and this is after paying all together $432 for an amg battery! If the owner/manager is reading this, help your service people appreciate the person walking in the door and try to build the rapport so that they always consider your establishment as THE OBVIOUS CHOICE! To give you a comparison I walked into Auto Zone and was made to feel as a valued customer for $16 for the battery post extenders on the same day! And their AMG batteries are $259. read more

I had no problems getting a new replacement battery from Interstate. It was still under the warranty coverage period, so I only had to pay the install fee. The front desk and service tech were very nice, and I didn't have to wait long before my car was able to start normally again. Pop-a-lock came out to jump start my car and sold me a new gel Interstate Battery. Didn't tell me to drive the car for 15-20 miles before turning the car off so that all the systems would reset. So car would not start the next morning. And there is only one place in our city of 2 million people to get warranty service, and it is 20 miles from my house. Not good. Make sure you understand how to get the battery to remain working and if you live close to there one location. read more

Employees were nice and helpful but I'm giving a 3 star because I had to leave my battery overnight which I didn't mind and was told I could pick it up at 8am the next day. I showed up at 8am the next day and the employee told me that I had to wait or come back to get my battery because the warehouse guy didn't show up yet. He ended up getting in between 8:30-8:45. I had a meeting to attend at 9:15am so that made me late. I understand things happen but If you tell me to come back at 8:00, I expect to pick it up at 8:00 and not guess when the warehouse guy will be coming in. read more

Interstate batteries have been very reliable for us over the decades when comparing them to other brands. They have lasted the longest in our vehicles. I just wish it were more convenient to find the batteries around the city. The place where we get our oil changes no longer offers them. We trust the brand so much that we went out of our way to go to this center to get a new one. It was a little tricky to find the front entrance. While heading West on Oquendo, the Interstate office signs are big but placed off from the street on the actual building. We were greeted and the office manager took good care of us. It's an efficiently run business with the manager communicating with a tech via walkie talkie. We had a new battery and done in less than 20 minutes. The tech even brought the battery out to our car. We put it in the trunk of our vehicle and installed it ourselves at home. read more

I purchased a battery from Firestone and when it died I called to see if I had any time on my warranty to be told they no longer carry them...Firestone gave us the phone number and we called they were nice and told us it was covered to have it towed over and they would replace it..so when we got there from the receptionist who are very proficient at what they do.. we were in and out in less than an hour oh yea let's not forget the man who did the work he is the top of the line explaining the new battery will work but should have the car checked out ..this whole experience could of been very stressful, but my hat goes off to all the employees good job ..it was very hot today,, thanks keep up the good work... read more

So I get " we're very sorry" note from this Marcia lady. She refuses to refund the $10 overcharge, which she is certainly capable of doing. She insinuates that I don't have the telephone conversation correct. In other words, she is implying..incorrectly...that I, the customer, is a liar. This transaction was an example of not satisfying the customer, when this firm had the ability to do so right away. Customer will file complaint with Visa company. Then "Marcia" goes on to contradict her product by stating interstate batteries are the best around, but if you need warranty service, please bring it back to us. With a 5 year battery just purchased last week, she doesn't appear to have much faith in her product after all. Totally pissed off former customer! read more

Horrible customer service. Inconvenient location, the annoyance of jumping through hoops just to utilize the "so called warranty" you're not saving much utilizing the warranty. I've had 2 interstate batteries go out with in 3 years of purchased and both times it was a hassle and an argument to get them warrantied. Now they only have one location although Firestone sales the battery, however they themselves won't warranty the battery. Save yourself and buy something else from anywhere else. #optimabattery is what I changed to and I love spending every penny. Interstate is trash! read more

I am a Paralyzed person who needs a Hoyer lift to assist me to get me in and out of bed. When my batteries went dead the company said that the batteries were on back order for 3 months. I was stuck in bed and searched and called Interstate Batteries of Las Vegas which told me they could order them and would be about 3-4 weeks. Well Jessica called me exactly on week 3 to inform me the batteries had not arrived yet. Jessica called me back a few days later to inform me they were in. Where do you get that kind of service today? If not for Jessica and Interstate Batteries I would still be stuck in bed, Thanks for the great service and the 2 batteries were over $200 less expensive than the actual company. read more
