Read the fine print, they auto renew the contract without notice. Paid over $500 for the year plus $65 per month. NOT worth it. Zero customer service, when you try to call them the wait is always over 10 minutes before you can speak to someone. I had them out 4 times for lady bugs...still got them. Finally spoke to a local, Mountainside, NJ, and she was so nasty. One time they sprayed and there was a white residue left on all my windows and siding, they had to come out to wash my windows. read more

I have been a customer almost 20 years, and can honestly say, these people are the biggest con artists in the business. You pay an astronomical annual contract fee for what? Someone maybe walking around your house on a quaint stroll--or, not at all (though they tell you that they provided 'service' worth $400/year). They canceled my scheduled service, day of, last Monday, because it snowed (everyone in my house made it to work that day, except me, who took the day off for the service call). A few days later I received a text that my service was rescheduled for today (no time window provided). I waited for the technician to show...I texted back to Viking a reminder to please ensure that the bait stations were replaced, since mine are the same ratty looking stations they installed in 2010 (they are an eyesore and who knows if they are actually functioning). I heard nothing and it was almost 11am, the end of my prior appointment time slot, so I called. I was connected to a call center rep in another country. She did her best and was kind, but she was told a tech already came. I said the bait stations were not replaced. She said the ground was frozen so they were unable to perform that service. Ok, sure, I get that, but then why come if you already know you cannot do the ONE THING I EXPLICITLY ASKED FOR? I asked the rep what exactly the service included , since it had already been done (despite no evidence of this--no notice in the mailbox or receipt in the dioor--nothing). The rep explained that the tech walked around the perimeter of my house to check for termite activity. I mean, if the humans were too bothered by 3" of snow to do this, but somehow the termites, in near 0 degree weather , will be demonstrating visible signs of activity around the perimeter of my house, we must be talking about some prime specimen cross-fit, protein powder gobbling termites of doom. FFS I hope that shit isn't in my house! But I digress... When the rep told me that the inspection involves a walk around the perimeter of my hone, I remembered that the yard is still covered in snow. Guess what? No footprints around significant sections of the perimeter of my home. May I should be thanking the Lord since apparently, a flying holy angel technician did the termite inspection! Perhaps I have been uniquely blessed with this divine service call, but somehow I think the more likely explanation is that there was no service call. I waited to speak to a manager about this, given that this company seems to charge customers for a non-existent service. The manager, Jack, told me someone else can come later today. I told him don't bother if the bait stations won't be replaced (due to the frozen ground). At this point, after losing 4 hours of my day to these clowns, I really was displeased. I asked Jack how it is that company reps tell paying customers had a service done, and it was clearly not done. He told me I was rude. This is a real sign if the times--the con man who gets called out responds by calling the whistleblower names. I have a problem with that. You should, too. Find a different company to help with your pest control issues. read more

I am a customer with a contract and quarterly inspections for over 20 years. Have called them out only 1 or 2 times besides the inspections. I have been trying to reach them for 2 days. 1) Hung on for 40 minutes twice, left 3 messages 2) left text messages 3) Drove to their facility on Rt 22 in Mountainside to find out that they are now on Springfield Rd in Union. A maintenance man from the town of Mountainside said they sold the property to the town. He told me to check the Union office. Drove to the Union address, no sign on building. Could not locate. Went back home and tried calling the Wayne office & Bridgewater office. The same recording comes on. 4) tried to set up an on line account. It would not accept it with e mail and tele. #, nor with the account number and e mail. Message says it does not recognize my account no. Strangely, they cash my checks with that account number. What is happening with this company? If they have gone out of business they should contact their customers. If they are unable to open due to COVID ISSUES, there should be a message to that effect and also someone should answer the phone or at least call back after 2 days. Totally disgusted with them. PS.. Made a last minute appointment and they were able to see me next day! Had a horrible flea issue and Nick was able to inspect the house and even told us where the main problem was. He treated the house thoroughly. He was detailed about what he did and even gave us helpful tips. He also answered all of our questions. We had a termite treatment from Viking on 6/25. It required drilling holes in a front cement porch/entryway. Viking refilled the 8 holes with gray cement that didn't match the existing cement. Viking also did not smooth the new cement so the surface is no longer even. We called Viking and they sent out a tech with the wrong color cement patch. And the tech did not have any sanding equipment. Our front porch looks terrible. We are VERY disappointed by the work done by Viking. read more

I called this company because I needed carpenter ants treated and a WDIR certificate in order to sell my house. The salesman, Richard Gaboury quoted a price that was more than double an estimate from another company, but the other company's price was only for the carpenter ants not the certificate. I talked about both with Viking and in the end they only treated the carpenter ants and wanted another $120 for the termite certificate. They are VERY expensive and I had to call in another company to get the WDIR! Do yourself a favor and use someone else. read more

I've been having a mouse problem in my home for about 5 years now. I've had technicians, service personnel, and supervisors out here on many occasions. Although the mouse problem has diminished, I still do have a problem. The one shining light in this whole ordeal is my favorite technician, Nicholas Sacco. Every time he comes to my house he gives 110% to alleviate the mouse problem. He always tries different methods in trying to rid my house of mice. If it weren't for him and his innovative ideas, I would have moved on to another pest control company a long time ago. I also have an ant problem it seems like every six months. I called to renew / take over a quarterly service contract on a home I just bought. They insisted on an in-person appointment (completely unnecessary - the last treatment was just 2 months ago) in an obvious attempt to jack up the price. The lady on the phone was just plain RUDE, which I find unacceptable with anyone, let alone a prospective customer. Wow. I can't imagine what customer service is like AFTER they sign you up as a customer. read more

I use Viking for all of my pest control needs. They do treatments four times a year, and we have no bugs. Prior to that, we always had the occasional creepy crawly showing up. Nick has been super informative and thoughtful in his application of products, like avoiding our vegetable garden. Viking also did a great job removing a hornets nest for us. They showed up the same day I called, and it was gone without a trace. Viking does it all, and they are locally owned, so there is no reason to call anyone else. Great people. read more
