Bought a Beautiful Jeep Compass in 2019. When service issues came up surrounding the aux battery in 2024, I was sold a faulty replacement unit at the dealership. I reported the problem immediately and repeatedly, only to be told that it was my fault, then ghosted by the service department, by Stellantis, by Jeep Wave... They refused to return my calls and I couldn't schedule service. The issue has affected the main battery, Uconnect system and the backup camera, too. The "free" patches and USB fixes come with diagnostic, labor, and service fees. No more OTA updates! Now my extended warranty has expired. They will not return my calls, have blocked my ability to email and will not help me. The really sad part is that they used my original review from here in their print advertising--it was hanging in the shop last time I was there! Also the fixes would be super cheap for them and only fair for them make things right. Sad. read more

Have purchased two new vehicles from this dealership and had a third new vehicle serviced there. First vehicle, no issues, but only kept it for a year. Second vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler JKU. Had them do the services. One one occasion full service I received a phone call saying to bring it back because they noticed an oil puddle where it was parked. My wife made it only to about Commercial Tire. Seems they mis-installed the oil filter. The mess that made was more than they were able to correct, even after three trips back. Fast forward to current vehicle. Traded the Jeep to them for a 22 GMC SIERRA pickup. Two oil changes ago, on the day I picked it up after full service 19 miles later check oil level warning came on. I had my son bring me oil since it was 7 pm. Over 2 quarts low. University's answer was to come get my pickup and re-do the oil change; no offer to reimburse the cost of the full synthetic premium oil I had to add. Last oil change I had them check and repair the clock that was losing about a minute a day. Their "technician" reset it. Three weeks later I called to address the unresolved issue. We scheduled a "call back" service to fix the issue. The good news is my clock seems to work. Upon picking my truck up October 3rd, my iPhone would not connect with car-play. Drove home, re-synced phone to vehicle, did not take. Returned to dealership. No resolution. Was told they would schedule it back. They agreed to come pick it up from my workplace on Tuesday. That didn't happen. On Wednesday they called me, think it was a salesman, asking about my service. When I expressed my concerns the person's answer was "have you thought about trading it in?" At the end of the call had him transfer me to the service dept. left a voicemail. That was Wednesday, it is now after business hours on Friday and no call back. Bottom line is do not do business with this dealership. Seems that their service department lacks ethics and abilities. One star only because there are no options for negative ratings. read more

I was passing through Ellensburg WA on Hwy 90 on my way to Spokane when the level sensor in my DEF tank went bad. I was driving my 2021Ram 3500 diesel pickup. Unfortunately the sensor is mounted internally and when it fails, the tank has to be replaced. I pulled into University Auto Center and explained my problem and, to no surprise, was informed that their shop was already swamped with work,; scheduled out for two weeks. Nevertheless, the Service Rep Rachel jumped on the my repair, had the tank delivered over-night and the truck repaired the following morning. I was out the door by noon the next the day. I was literally astonished by their immediate attention to help me out. I was given a ride to a local hotel and kept informed of the progress throughout the repair then promptly picked up when the truck was ready. That's great service! Rachel and the UAC staff are fantastic folks to work with and honestly care about their customers. I highly recommend them! read more

Took my SUV in due to a bad spark plug I could not get out myself. They came back with a $6000 estimate of work they said needed to be done, most of it flushes and gaskets. $800 to change the 8 spark plugs. When I came into pick it up my license plate with the tabs had been stolen and my car had thoroughly been ransacked. When I got back to work i noticed a long trail of coolant behind me...they had broken off a plastic heater hose T fitting while changing the spark plugs and failed to say anything to me about it. It was very obvious. They were super friendly about telling me they could do nothing to help me. read more

University Auto Center was very easy to work with and the purchase of a new Sierra 1500 and everything was quick and very low key. Drew did a fantastic job in working all of the details out before hand and everything went exactly as promised, even the trade in estimated value. No pressure, no trying to sell extended warranty's or other add ons. They also had a much better out the door price than all of the other dealers I dealt with. For starters: When I was researching my next vehicle purchase I visited the UAC website regularly checking for potential vehicles . Overtime I saw 2 vehicles on their website that were what I was looking for so I contacted UAC via email, Facebook and phone. Each response was essentially stating that the price on the website is what I would have to pay. I had done MASSIVE research on my next vehicle and knew that the UAC website price was beyond reasonable so I gave up trying to buy from UAC. Fast forward a few weeks: I bought the vehicle I was looking for on the other side of the mountain. Sad to have to go over there to make a purchase but it has more options than I wanted and was a few thousand dollars less than UAC pricing. Next: I recently called UAC for details on factory service recommendations and they quoted me $600 for what is essentially an inspection. I called the dealer in Wenatchee and they said the inspection was free. I called the dealer I bought from and they said that the maximum charge if I needed EVERYTHING would only be $125 and they've never had to charge the maximum. read more

This shop treated my mother in law very badly. 1. They did a poor job on a Subaru head gasket job by only doing one side. They charged as much for this work as a reputable shop would charge for both sides. 2. Their work failed well before it should have. (2.5 years of light driving) 3. They did not stand by their work at all. My mother in law now has to have the work redone at another shop. University auto center has effectively stolen $3000 dollars from a senior citizen. Their shop does subpar work at inflated prices and doesn't stand by it when it fails. I can not stress how much I would recommend finding another shop if you want good work done at a fair price by reputable mechanics. read more

Just stopped in for an oil change. We sat in the car while they changed it- they showed me everything as they went (without me asking) and weren't condescending. It was a great experience and pretty cost friendly. Checked all of my lights in front of me, and showed the air filter. Actually said- you don't need this changed yet - wait until next time. Also checked and filled my spare tire that was 40psi flat- saving me a tragedy if I ever needed to use the spare. I've never had an oil change go so well. Took 20 min tops. Very impressed. Had been using Gates Chevy, but this is just a way better experience all around. Highly recommend. read more

We were completely blown away with how easy the buying experience was with Dale and Holly at University Auto Center. They made arrangements to go pick up the Jeep at a different dealer and bring it to their lot for me. Everything was so smooth, from the initial call to Dale to signing documents with Holly, it was all a breeze. Never once did we feel forced or uncomfortable. Dale explained all the new 'goodies' that came with the Jeep and how to use the new features. Terrible service, overlooked major things, causing a breakdown within a week of getting it fixed, refused to compensate for failure to notice (very obvious) problem. Basically said screw you. I brought in my '02 Wrangler after it stalled at a gas station in town. I was 40 miles from home and stuck, so I was in a bit of a bind. They didn't overcharge me, and they did their work well, but I've never dealt with a service department that seemed more unhappy to have work towed up to their door. Nobody smiled. Nobody seemed to have time for me at all. Overall, not thrilled with paying money to a team of folks who give the impression that waiting me to get my Visa card out is taking too much time. read more

Terrible service department. I took car into get it repaired, took over 3 weeks and caused more damage. they broke dash brackets and put dash back together with missing pieces and causing many features to not work. They offered to repair damage they caused at a discount rate to me like a slap in the face. After paying over $2100 for the first repairs I refused. They will not take responsibility for causing more issues and problems. Awful customer service they don't care about their customers. read more

Called for an oil change and got in the same day. Arrived early and was out of there with my free oil change 40 minutes later. Wi-fi worked and everything. Vacuumed the inside of the car too. And didn't have to give them my life story for them to find me in the computer. read more

I was driving back from Idaho when my 2015 ram service light came on. my truck said that I had only 88 miles to go before the truck limited me to 5 MPH I called around and found this dealership in Ellensburg. The lady on the phone said there service department was closed on the weekend and gave me numbers to several other people to call that might be able to fix it that day. After calling all the numbers no one was able to work on it, so I took it to university auto center and dropped it off. On Monday the service manger called and let me know that they would have it fixed for me in a few days, on Wednesday he called again to let me know it was finished. He explained exactly what had gone wrong and how they had fixed it. I am very happy with the service that I received, and there customer service people are also very nice. if I didn't live so far away from them they would be doing all my service work on my rigs.
