This review is to give credit where it is due. NFM turned me over to Square Trade who then turned me over to Iowa Appliance Repair. In the end Iowa Appliance repair did a good job replacing both ice makers and Square Trade did a good job of getting the parts here on time. I have a working fridge again. I would recommend Iowa Appliance Repair if you have a need.

They claimed that the glass cooktop couldn't be installed as their signed contract called for. We had to buy a new countertop as their signed contract had the opening cut too large.... We finished instsling ourselve.... +$5,000. check other reviews before using these CREEPS.

My home warranty company assigned Central Appliance West to service my washer and dryer. I filed a…read moreclaim on 12/4/2024 with the warranty. My scheduled appointment was 12/14/2024. The technician called (did not come to my home) asked me many questions regarding issue with the units and told me he was submitting a work order. The work order enabled him to get an idea the home warranty would pay for repairs. He then told/texted me he would apply the 777.00 for both unit repairs to the purchase price of a new washer/dryer set. 420217/When I texted so I just pay the balance? He responded no that I would need to pay total price upfront and he would refund me the 777.00 when the home warranty paid him. He said he would provide an invoice/contract covering the terms within 24 hours. As of 12/17/2024 nothing. I requested refund of 130.00 service call fee and he refused. I would be wary there is no follow through.

The things that make me like going to this Home Depot... 1. The app. If I don't choose to buy the item online and do a pick up the app tells me what aisle the item I'm looking for is in and what section of the aisle I can find it at. 2. They offer a veterans discount. Not much... But it pretty much covers the sales tax here in Iowa anyway... It's easy to sign up for and add to your app if you have ID.me setup. Once it's in your app you just scan the QR code for the discount when you check out. Like any other Home Depot or Lowe's no one is EVER around when you actually need them. And I've learned to deal with that... Lol Parking is easy. The lot is huge and the store is fully handcapped accessible. They do offer a special parking space for veterans as well (one spot). The store is clean and easy to navigate. When I do need to flag someone down for help they are usually personable enough...when you can finally locate someone. The big picture... It is what is is. A HUGE big box store, with affordable prices, housing every item you could need for a project...and then some!

"Fixed" our washer by replacing the wrong part--a part that didn't need replacing--to the tune of…read more$300. Wouldn't own up to the error, but offered to come fix the right thing for the cost of that repair. I decided to treat it as a $300 life lesson and pass on having them work on it again. My two expensive and hard earned lessons were: 1.) If an appliance breaks or something you own needs repaired, do a little online research and determine what the likely causes are before you call for service. My husband did a quick Google search and said nowhere did it say that the part Metro Appliance replaced was related to that issue, and 2.) Don't use Metro Appliance for repairs. I understand mistakes. I make them. None of us is infallible. But at least own it and make it right.
