Lost one of the remotes for our 2011 Toyota. $175 to buy and program at the dealer, plus a trip there. Found an aftermarket remote on Amazon for about $20 with great reviews, but required that Toyota or a locksmith program it for me. That's a good thing, y'all - more secure than the older ones you can program yourself. Brandon answered the phone promptly. I gave him a big window to get here - no emergency - and he showed up sooner than I'd figured. Took just a few minutes and I had a new remote that did what it was supposed to do. $81. You need to have the car, a key and all other remotes to do the programming, btw. Appreciated the service and the quick response. My morning went like this...Put dog in car, goes around the other side to get in car...dog locks car by stepping on keys in the drivers seat. FFFFUUUUUU. Okay thinks...I can't call my husband because we only have ONE key fob...pushes buttons on outside of door, pulls in door handle hoping something happens, tries to get the dog to step on the key fob again...dog goes and lays in the back seat...FFFFUUUUUUUUUU. Googles "I locked myself out of my car"...top result Brandon!!!! Calls Brandon, "see you in 15/20mins" stands around the car like a dummy while everyone walks by asking if I'm okay. Brandon shows up and saves the day in 2 minutes. 2 frickin minutes. Takes dang near every payment known to man so I didn't have to run in and get cash. Thank you Brandon!!!! Wow! This locksmith, who is a one-man band, knows how to take of business. I called to get my home door and garage door open after a power hit. His creativity and persistence to solve the challenge of getting me on my home was unmatched. He responded to my call within 25 mins and life was good again after about 30 mins. Purchased 3 keys a little while ago, 1 for my car 2 for my girls. They had issues programming the key for my car but got it sorted out. After only a couple weeks it stopped working and said bad key when inserted. They didn't replace the key but just reprogrammed it again. Tonight it came up bad key once again, called and they said they would call with a time someone could come. Waited for just under an hour and had to call them again. They couldn't get anyone out that night and couldn't guarantee the next day either. The key should have been replaced the first time it stopped working. I can accept it happening once but twice is unacceptable, inconvenient as I was stranded with my 2 youngest in the car after a soccer game late at night. Allows them again the next morning they said they would be put at 10am, at 10.30 I was still waiting for their call to say they were almost there and I was told it wouldn't be until at least 2pm. Complete run a round. I will be calling another company and will make sure the mechanic that told us to use them won't be recommending them again. It is not worth the little bit you save. read more
