Showed up on time with a friendly, professional, and skilled locksmith to re-key 6 doors. They even took the time to do some minor repairs to a few of my locks at no charge. The re-key fee was a little bit on the higher side, but the extra care and effort they went through to fix the locks at no charge, researched the model type of some old door knobs that needed replacement soon, and the fact that they only charge about $2/key to duplicate, it seemed like an overall great value. The front door lock was busted, and I needed someone to install the replacement lock that I purchased. Reading the horror stories on here that reviewers posted about different locksmith companies left me concerned that it might be the norm that I might be dealing with dishonesty, and poor work ethic, no matter who I called (ie. not showing up; changing up arrival time, well after agreed appointment time; charging way more than initially quoted, etc). Still I needed this lock installed, and had to call someone. The reviews for this company was positive, but reading so many positive reviews on any home services company leaves me wondering how many are actually legitimate. I went ahead and called them Saturday morning, and the woman I spoke with (unfortunately I forgot her name) was very helpful. She was honest with what she anticipated the ETA for the locksmith would be, and said that she would call me back to confirm the time. She did just that, within a reasonable amount of time. She even went above and beyond, by calling me back a little while later, to let me know that she was able to switch things around to get the locksmith to come in way earlier than originally scheduled. He even showed up a several minutes earlier than the new scheduled time. So, the new lock was installed, and the door is opening and closing smoother than it was prior to the old lock getting busted. This company impressed me with their honesty, excellent communication, punctuality, great work ethic, and the effort made to accommodate the customer. My elderly father misplaced a grandfather clock key about a year ago. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Unfortunately, this particular clock didn't accept the typical universal key and the manufacturer couldn't help either. I stopped by Unlock It and asked if they could possibly measure and make a new key for the clock so I could access the upper and lower cabinets. I sent them pictures and was quite pleased to learn they would send out a technician and felt confident they could rectify the problem. Hadi Wahba came to the house [on time, very professional and very warm-hearted]. Within 30 minutes, he'd made a key that opened both cabinets. But the real kicker ...? Once he opened the lower cabinet, there sat the original key up against one wall of the cabinet. [I'd even shined a flashlight through the glass cabinet and didn't see the key.] My Dad had apparently knocked the key into the locked cabinet through one of the side-panel doors that don't lock. I was very, very happy with the professional service and the price but the best part of the experience was the gracious nature of Hadi Wahba, especially after I told him my 94-year-old Dad had passed several weeks earlier and had left the clock for me in his will. The staff at this location are phenomenal. My car broke down beside their building, and they came out to help. Not only did they try to jumpstart my car, but they also brought me inside the building and gave me cold water while I waited for a tow truck. They even brought out some orange cones to mark my car and prevent it from being hit. I had an extremely corroded faucet lock on my back deck that needed to be removed. Unlockit responded right away confirming they can remove the lock and shortly after we scheduled an appointment for the following week. Johnathan arrived early and due to a meeting gone late, I was unavailable when he arrived. 20 minutes later I call back and explain the situation and they were so patient and stated Johnathan is heading back to service the lock. The lock was very difficult to remove, but Johnathan managed to remove it within 30 minutes without any damage to the spout itself. Our door was stuck for some freaky reason - tried every possible way to open it; removing the hinges, taking out the knob and kicking it from the outside and inside, nothing worked, it was as "secure" as duck. Since the problem seemed to be from one of the knobs so we called Unlockit and set up a schedule. On the day of service, they called an hour ahead to notify me the technician's arrival time. John Johnson showed up on time, gave me his business card and started tackling the problem immediately. Boy, it was not an easy task! Once he identified that the issue was beyond what we originally had requested, he told me that the charge would be more. After a whole hour of intense battle with the door, he got it open! Throughout the process, he kept his cool and I had already lost it - that's what happens when you have Type A personality. I was first worried about the door damage and after he got it open, I was worried about damage to my wallet - it turned out to be very reasonable with all the hard work he performed. I purchased a lock June 2016 for the front door of my new house, (happy time). I paid 250.00 for a digital code lock and after about 6 months the lock stopped turning to open after I put in the code, it took my a while to contact the company because I'm a crazy busy person but I recently contacted them to have another lock reinstalled because the old one was defective and still under warranty.  A lady called back me tell me that I would have to be charged $84.50 for a reinstall fee and I advised her that I was not happy having to pay the $84.50 for a lock that was supposed to work properly. She advised me that the company was not making money off my replacement and I wasn't happy with that because you shouldn't have to make money off of a previous purchase that I already paid over $250.00  (which included an installation fee that was already previously charged for a lock that never worked correctly in the 1st place). Furthermore the fact that you stated that you're not making money is not true because you're charging me another $84.50 that's money that you are making off of a previous product that should have worked properly.  If you sell a defective product to a customer, simply replacing it and reinstalling without charging is called good customer service. That is not what I was provided with in this case. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau  because you should not treat your customers this way. I requested to speak with upper management or the owner of the company in regards to my situation because this doesn't seem fair at all altogether I'm spending over $300 for a lock that should work properly in the first place. (Very unhappy customer!) read more

When I called in to the office to schedule a service appointment, it was clear they were busy, but the individual who answered the phone took her time to gather all of the necessary information from me and provide the various costs for what I needed done. She did not try to rush me off the phone simply because they had other calls coming in. I was able to schedule an appointment exactly when it was convenient for me, and the office called me when Manny, the technician, was 45 minutes away. Manny was personable, professional and got the job done quickly.
