My family and I checked this place out for Taco Tuesday last night. We weren't disappointed! The tacos were outstanding! I got a street taco & a fish taco & also upgraded to a combo for an additional $2.95. The street taco was delicious but I ended up getting another fish taco because it was SO good!! My children got kid's taco plates and they loved the tacos! Heads up: kid's meals come with rice & beans but no drink. My kids didn't touch the rice & beans but I'm not sure how many young kids actually eat them anyway. I had to buy another taco for one of my kids (who never eats anything) because the tacos are really small. Husband got nachos & he liked those. Bottom line: - tacos are delicious - tacos are really small - tacos are $3+ each - it costs an additional $2.95 to make it a combo with chips, salsa, & a drink - there are taco plate options which include the taco(s), drink, and beans & rice, which costs a dollar less than getting 2 tacos & upgrading to a combo - basically that deal is based on your preference of rice/ beans vs chips/ salsa - tacos are delicious - parking lot is terrible: it was nearly impossible to drive between the drive-thru line & the parked cars. Saw the billboard on I-12 several times for fresh tacos and it finally lured me in. I was pleasantly surprised this was a drive thru as I wanted my food fast. The young lady that greeted me on the speaker was very nice and welcoming. I felt like these people actually wanted customers. I ordered and then drove up to the pickup window. It was the young lady that took my order and after a short conversation she informed me that she was the daughter of the owner. My food came fast and I pulled over and ate my food in my truck. I have been looking for a great local burrito spot for a while and decided to give Uno Dos Tacos a try after being recommended by my husband. Unfortunately my initial order was missing an ingredient. I am not usually one to call and complain, but due to the price I decided to at least call and bring it to their attention making it aware that it could have been an issue with my communication due to me ordering at the drive through and being a soft speaker. The customer service provided and the handling of my issue was so kind and professional. I was given a replacement burrito at no charge. The burrito was everything I've been wanting! The tortilla was soft and stuffed without being torn, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the portion was larger than expected. 10/10 customer service and quality, my only complaint is it is a tad pricey for "fast food" but the quality makes it so worth it. My wife and I had high expectations when I discovered Uno Dos Tacos had opened, in Denham Springs, LA. We like tacos and are on the look-out for good, healthy versions. One visit to Uno Dos Tacos was enough. There was far too much salt in the everything and much too little food for the money. Hopefully, they will improve over time. read more

I ordered the breakfast plate and I must say it was by far the best breakfast plate I'd ever eaten the eggs were seasoned so well and the potatoes were delicious, the beans and rice were a little luke warm but that would be my only thing I can say not positive I would definitely get more from them read more

Ordered the dos taco meal with street and shrimp tacos with coleslaw on the side. My wife ordered the barbacoa taco. We ordered a side of chips and salsa as well. Both meals came with rice and beans. Rice was crunchy and lacked flavor. Beans were not bad but nothing to write home about. Shrimp taco was good and the spicy mayo added alot of flavor, was very small with only 5 small shrimp. Coleslaw tasted like Kraft store bought dressing. Street taco was not very good, steak was over cooked and chewy. My wife liked her taco. Salsa was good and the portion was huge. Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere feels thrown together, kind of like a taco bell but less....nice? Overall there are enough good mexican restaurants around that unless you are looking for something with a drive through then you are better going elsewhere read more

Delicious! Gotta try the angus beef tacos, and guacamole and chips. The restaurant is really cute too. There's outdoor seating looked inviting and the inside had blue and white Mexican tile with tables and booths. The only down side is it was really hot inside the restaurant. Was traveling through the area and saw a billboard for this place so we decided to stop. The food was ok, but the bathrooms were horrible! Teenagers running the place and though they were polite, there is no excuse for uncleanliness especially when one worker was sitting on the counter on his phone between customers. The women's bathroom had clearly been out of toilet paper for awhile and the trash can was overflowing with paper towels. The dining area appeared clean, but no one checked on us after our food was delivered to go, even though we stated dining in....and they even asked for a tip at check out. If you expect to be tipped then I expect to receive some kind of service while dining in....no one asked if we needed anything and we were the only customers inside....three employees working behind the counter. I had Uno Dos Tacos for the first time tonight. It was pretty good. People are complaining about prices, but their food is above Taco Bell or McDonald's level fast food places and those places have gone up in prices. I consider the price point fair for the quality of food. To me, this place is very similar to a place like Izzos or Chipotle. I had the Carne Asada burrito, it was good. It didn't wow me. The bell peppers were under cooked. There bean to meat ratio was a bit lopsided, but it had good flavor. I think it deserves a 3.5 star review, but there is no half star option. Family of 4 and everything was fresh, everything tasted good for with the exception of 1 to 2 items. Portions are very small, but prices are high. Kids meals are right under $6.00 and included NO drink, one item with tiny tiny sides in condiment cup. My husband plate of nachos with drink was $12. I had small taco and a tiny sides. Even though it was good, I was not 100% full. This place is also so small inside it feels like a quick dine in or fast food vibe but our total bill equal more than sitting at our favor mexican restaurant. I think there are limited options for fresh food in the area that people are flipping out over this place, but it's way too expensive for what you receive. As fresh as it was nothing stood out, except small portions, high prices. Not bragging but we are well traveled and we have ate way better taco's before, but for the area, I guess its ok, we just will not be returning. read more

Decided to try this place tonight since it opened not far from my home. I ordered the Dos Tacos combo, 2 tacos, rice and refried beans. The Street Taco with Angus beef and cilantro was fantastic. The El Classico was a traditional taco and it was good also. The place is fast food type environment where the customer either goes to the counter and orders or go through the drive up. The food was great, but I agree with the other reviewer who thought the food was a little pricey considering the portion sizes and the fast food type set up.
