My youngest son and I stopped in after a day at the baseball field and had the best Mexican we've ever had. Margarita was cold and refreshing and the meal was super! When in Starkville again, will most definitely stop in!

We went here after a football game, and even though I was stuffed from lunch, I enjoyed my meal. The main seating area was not exceptional and VERY LOUD, but there was an outside bar area that was very cool. It didn't take that long to get seated (we didn't even have time to finish the refreshing margaritas we bought while waiting for our table ) , and the chips and salsa were good. The food came quickly, and the service was good. I ordered two empanadas and two tacos. The tacos weren't American tacos; these are authentic tacos you would find in a Mexican grocery store. All was excellent! My wife got a giant burrito that she enjoyed. My daughter got a taco bowl, her boyfriend got enchiladas. Everyone was satisfied, and when I got the check, I was pleasantly surprised at the total. Uno Más has Mexican food for any palate: Tex-Mex to street taco and everything in between.

The street corn was good but was missing something that would make me want to get again.

Overall 3.5 Stars for food, service and ambiance…read more Food: 3.5 stars For dinner we stopped at this local Mexican restaurant. It isn't your local typical Mexican food where the food is covered in queso or the ground beef taste "bland". Most of the foods were regional type dishes but you will find your favorites such as fajitas, tacos and burritos. We ordered the Loco Rice - grilled chicken, rice, covered in queso a grilled onions and jalapeños. The other two dishes were the Carne Asada, grilled flank steak, cooked frijoles (beans) / rice, grilled leeks and jalapeño and Grilled Cameron's (shrimp) w rice, avacados and diced tomatoes. All were 3.5 stars. Nothing stood out to be outstanding but could have been with a little bit more acidity (lime / lemon) or cumin / cayenne seasoning. The food were cooked well but it just missed "something". The outstanding part of our meal was the salsa. It was seasoned well and it wasn't your water-down tomato based salsa with a hint of chopped onions or cilantro and lime. Service was a little bit better than average and server was good but we had to ask a couple of times for certain items. And it wasn't too busy at the time. The restaurant has a bar with multiple tables and booths and can get pretty loud during "happy hour" or dinner time. It can be fun with a lot of people or hanging at the bar. With specialized drinks, the bar tender is happy to make it for you. Though we didn't get any speciality drinks. We will come again to try other meal options and review once again. I think the restaurant can get a higher review because they have different regional meal options.

The taco leaked out a ton of liquid, not grease, a clear liquid which made the taco shell soggy so I just didn't bother with it. The chile relleno was just some green bell peppers with a mound of ground beef on it and melted cheese on top of that. Chile relleno is actually supposed to be a cheese stuffed Anaheim or Poblano pepper battered, fried, and served with a red sauce. Even the lemon on my water glass was gross- it smelled like alcohol and was shriveled and red like the server fished it out of someone's discarded cocktail. My daughter said her meal was gross too and didn't eat it. We didn't ask for a replacement or our money back. We paid, tipped well, and won't be back, ever.

I asked that my steak be cook medium. I should have known my order would be right when the waiter kept coming back asking me how I would like it cooked Once I received my food the steak was well done and totally dry and The mashed potatoes was watery and looked like wallpaper paste. My order of fried green tomatoes was never placed I did let the waiter know my steak wasn't medium and asked if I could have 1 that was. He disagreed saying the steak was cooked medium. This meal cost me about $25 with tax I couldn't eat anything But the garlic toast. After still being charged for a steak I didn't eat or being provided with the steak I asked for EL RODEO IS AND ABSOLUTE NO FOR ME!

Overall: 3.75 Stars…read more There are several Mexican restaurants in Starkville and this is the newest one. Open in June 2025, so they will be hitting their one year anniversary. It is near Sprint Mart and Clarion Pointe Hotel on hwy 182. Ambiance: 4 Stars The restaurant used to be a Chinese restaurant and the decor on the outside is subdue. However, once you walk inside the decor is pleasantly bright and displaying their Hispanic culture. Tables are clean and not sticky, and have a chill vibe to it. Pop Latino is playing and is not loud. You can hear conversations with your mates or yourself. LOL Ordering: you order at the front counter. Menu are displayed on the monitors or laminated sheets. Staff: 4 Stars the employees were friendly, pleasant and professional. Our helper enthusiastically made several suggestions and we order two of the items she recommended. After ordering the items and grab our drinks, we sat down in one of the many tables they have. It only took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive and the staff brought two different salas (salsa verde and rojo) that were flavorful and not overly spicy. Authentic food from different regions Food: 3-3.75 stars 1. Child's portion: 3 Stars queso quesadilla with refied beans and rice. - your typical quesadilla. Good for the child. 2. Burrito California - 3.5 Stars. A large carb heavy burrito. Protein was steak (carne asada), loaded with fries, rice and cheese. Pretty dry however the person ordered like it that way. I took a bite and it required salsa and I thought the meat to fries ratio favored the fries. 3. Quesabirra - 3.5 Stars - A flour quesadilla filled with the birria (a slow braised beef) that is shredded. Served with the birria broth to dipped the quesadilla. The queso blanco melted evenly throughout the flour tortilla. The tortilla had a crunchy exterior from the broth and the inside was hot. 4. Birria Tacos - 3.75 Stars - Four corn tortilla tacos filled with the birria beef, shredded cheese, cilantro, and fresh onions. Served w the birria broth. The was delicious and flavorful from the juicy beef. However, it required some lime, for acidity, to cut some of the fatty beefy flavor. Wonderful tacos. 5. Birria Ramen - 3.5 Stars a fusion of Latino and Asian dishes ( yummy birria with broth, and cilantro) over ramen noodles. Served in a to-go container and a separate bowl to self-pour, the ramen dish was hot (temperature) and beefy. The broth contained the spices of red chilies, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Mexican oregano, bay leaves, all spice, and a touch of cider vinegar for acidity. Due to nature of slow braised beef, the broth is rich in flavorful and slightly fatty. Adding lime for acidity helps cut the deep beefy flavor. 6. Carne Asada Plate - 3.25 Stars a pan seared ribeye steak served w grilled onions, arroz (rice), and frijoles negros (black beans). The steak was good. However it cooked well done. The marbling kept it tender and juicy. The frijoles were somewhat "blended" but there were whole beans in it. The rice was fine. You are served with corn or flour tortillas, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes. I recommend to cut your steak and use the corn tortillas as the base to add your carne asada and sides to become a taco. Add the lime and salsa and you will be satisfied. Note: we don't ordered any drinks but they carry wide variety of sodas, cervezas and aqua frescas. Next time, I will order one of the aquas frescas. They are homemade and I had a taste test on the Jamaica/Hibiscus. It was slightly sweet, fruity and very flavorful. The hibiscus flavor is on the front end of tasting it but not overwhelming. 1st time here and it won't be our last. Enjoyed it!

We ordered the asada la mexicana, birria tacos, cheese dip, and for drinks we had the jamaica and horchata. It was all fresh and tasty. The prices are slightly higher than your average Mexican restaurant but the quality of the food is higher in my opinion.
