Went here with my friends to try a new place. Service was awful. Our waitress had such a poor attitude with us from the jump, but was talking to all of her other tables and cracking jokes, laughing, etc. The portions were so small. Had an okay experience one time before but this time was awful. The chips were stale and the food was portioned super small. My cousin got a kids meal and they uncharged her $3 even though it's the same amount of food which doesn't make sense to me. They charged us for things we didn't order and the waiters seemed like they were on something... the place was pretty well kept and bathrooms pretty but food was not good and service was worse. So the food here was decent compared to other Mexican places around here, still not THAT GOOD of food though, it's just the customer service and drinks were horrible. I ordered a regular margarita and was disappointed that it was premade out of a bottle crap, tasted horrible, so I asked if they could make a margarita from scratch. Did not realize that would cause so much confusion, as instead the manager got me a skinny margarita (which I would not have ordered or agreed to if I had known) which was probably the worst drink I ever drank in my life and it cost over twice as just a regular margarita, when I just wanted a regular margarita. The manager was so condescending and rude, and in the end I didn't even want to deal with her anymore. She shouldn't be working in the service industry if she has zero skills. Our service was okay, the woman who served us seemed like she wasn't properly trained. She was confused about a lot of things and didn't know the answer to any questions. Which I think also speaks towards how horrible the manager is. The food was OK, but it was so little for how much we paid for it. I got a hard shell taco and there was barely any meat in it. The person I was with ordered an enchilada and I ordered a flauta and they were literally the same thing, I guess they don't know the difference between the two? There were no spices cooked with the meat or anything as well, which isn't typical of Mexican food. The meat tasted like it was just simmered in a tomato sauce? So no spices, no flavor. I wouldn't return even if someone paid me too. Stay away from this place, unless you're looking for horrible drinks and even worst service. read more

We came in for lunch and were sat quickly. We didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes before our order was placed. The booths in the back room were slightly uncomfortable, but staff allowed us to move to more comfortable seating. My only complaint is that our cheese dip didn't come out before our food, but our food was served very fast! We maybe waited five to eight minutes after ordering before our food was given to us. The food was very good and we had no complaints about our dishes! Staff was very friendly and quick to help us when we needed something for the table! I've been here several times now & yesterday was the absolute last time for me. There was 3 of us eating, we ordered off of the lunch menu for 2 of us & the other ordered soft tacos. The total came out to be $51. There was also a convenience fee on ticket. I know prices have gone up but geez come on now. How in the world do restaurants plan to stay open with this type of cost. Being from Texas, we're pretty finicky about our Tex-Mex! Terraza is, by far, the BEST Tex-Mex we've found in Mississippi!!! Guacamole was so fresh, green, and delicious, we almost filled up on it alone. The Enchiladas Verdes were beautifully served (see pic), and just as delicious. Tacos are awesome, and the other dishes are equally awesome. Even real cactus in the lava rock dish! Advise getting friloles rancheros, instead of refried beans - just to be healthy, and they taste better... Owner came over and chatted in Spanish, and wait staff was great. Great value! Pretty bad experience all around. Walked in for lunch around 1 PM. Chips are very thin. For appetizers we ordered guac and cheese dip. Cheese dip, no complaints, guac, we didnt touch, it was brown. For our meals we ordered a hard beef taco and a cheese steak. Hard beef taco had very little cheese. My friend ordered huevos rancheros and received huevos con chorizo. Our server began telling us that that was their version of huevos rancheros only moments later for her to come back with the correct plate. No apology, just came back. As for my dish, the cheesesteak, I was expecting slices of meat inside a tortilla with some type of cheese in one form or another, melted or shredded. What came was a slab of beef, similar to a piece of carnes asada inside a tortilla, with melted cheese. I politely said I would like to get a speedy instead. The response I got was her questioning what I was expecting, to which I replied, and was told that she was going to have to pay for the plate bc that is not what they serve as a cheesesteak. When our bill came, we were told that $3.00 were taken off for the dish. So much for customer service. I would rate this place 0 stars, but, well, thats not an option. read more

I've eaten here once...back in August of 2011 and I liked the place....Was up in Stark Vegas helping the damn fam move my niece to college and we went there I liked it...thought the building was cool with what looked flagstone tile floors and the general ambence struck me as a hacienda type theme for this restaurant...The damn fam loved the fact that you could order pitchers of 'ritas.... Everyone loved their meals and when I went back in June 2012 I talked myself out of a stop in and went to another Mexican place that I did not like as much... Lesson learned, when I'm back in Stark Vegas and feeling the Mexican jones in my bones then this place is Numero Uno on my list to satisfy that craving!!!! read more
