I'm really dissatisfied with this company! Very unprofessional! one person always make it bad for everyone. I called to get some info on my garage door that was repaired by this company, and the man I spoke with was very RUDE! I'm not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed today or what, but his attitude was not very professional in this kind of business. He got irrate with me, and hung up the phone on me, all because he couldn't help me find out what I needed. He told me to call someone else. I tried calling back 3-4 times, and he would not answer the phone. So FK him and y'all family company!!! I wouldn't recommend your company to anyone I know. Also, you need to update your way of keeping track of personal information to lookup customers who does business with you. He said he had no way of finding out if I really did business with them or not, because they are a family owned business and they do not keep track of anything. He said I needed to have my receipt from a couple of years ago. Well sir, it's 2025 and everyone I know has a computer with customers information entered into it which keeps track of all their customers for atleast 5 years! I have used this company in the past, so when my garage door spring broke on Friday at 4:30pm, they were the go to call. By 2pm on Saturday, everything was fixed. The technician called in advance and arrived exactly within the window I was promised. He replaced the single spring with double springs, and also replaced the end bearings as they were visibly shot. He also adjusted the tension of my belt drive and set the open/close adjustments on the opener. As with my previous experience, I am completely satisfied with Up and Down Door, and will call them again when the need arises. Great customer service at a reasonable price. read more

Great service! Spring broke over the weekend, called around Monday morning and although they were not the cheapest they were close. However they offered a much better warranty than the others. With the good yelp reviews thought I would give them a chance. They called before they came out with a time window. When they arrived they were very friendly and professional, they had both springs swapped out in less than 20 minutes. The garage door has never opened so smooth and quiet! We hired them to come out and reset our garage codes at work when we had a staff change. We paid over $290 to do this, which was fine. We were happy with the work and wanted to continue to use the company. We ended up having to let the rest of the staff go due to theft; so I called to set up a time for our codes to be reset to prevent anymore theft (of course they would be paid.) The man was EXTREMELY rude. "We JUST did that..." And? You're getting paid so I'm not sure what the issue was. I said, "I'm aware. I mean, if you guys don't want the business we can always call someone else..." The man said, "Yeah, call someone else." NOT good customer service, especially because we would have given them a lot of business in the future. read more

Torsion spring had broken on my garage door, making it unable to open effectively. They were really responsive and unlike some other places, open on a Friday night and able to get me scheduled the next morning for a spring replacement. They were super efficient (took about 35 minutes), showed up when they said they would, and got the job done (with a 5 year warranty). Also doesn't hurt that they had the best quoted price of the 4-5 places I called that do garage door repairs. While spring repair isn't super complicated, without the right tools and with some risk of injury during the actual repair (for someone who hasn't done it at all/much), it was well worth the $179 to get the repair done quickly and efficiently. read more

Today I had an unbelievable, unprofessional, disgusting encounter w this company & advise you all to avoid them. I googled a local garage door company but erroneously hit 'Call' to another company. Within 5 minutes I realized it and called the company back, apologized and canceled the service call. I also texted and canceled and have screen shots to prove both. About 15 minutes later a guy from the other company showed up at my house. (He was not far from my house on another call & had no other appointment until noon). I again apologized but he flew into a cursing rage! Throwing the F bomb around like confetti in front of my 5 year old grandson! He told me I was F'ed up and I was the reason the world was F'ed up and demanded I pay him $45 for a service call. I refused to pay him a penny and told him I didn't appreciate his language but he kept on. He said he'd never had anyone do that to him in all his years of business and that I was rude to do that. He called me an F-ing liar when I said I canceled and continued the rant w F words flying until ending w 'FY!' I actually thought he might get physical. I've worked in customer service for decades, dealt w irate, angry and irrational people but this man was past that. Like in a frenzied psychosis. My grandson was understandably upset and the encounter sat so uncomfortable w me that I called the sheriff department who came and took the info. I highly advise AGAINST calling UP & DOWN GARAGE DOOR The service guy that did this is part owner so a call back to them and email complaint fell on cloth ears. read more

I would have given this place ZERO stars if it was an option. I spoke to someone who told me they could help me fix my garage and put me down on the schedule for a Tuesday appointment. He said they couldn't give me a time but someone would call the day of and tell me when. So I cleared my entire schedule for the day to make sure I was home and available. Tuesday came along NO ONE called. So around 2pm I decided to call them... When the same guy answered he informed me that they had me on the schedule for WEDNESDAY, and not TUESDAY. He made NO apologies for the schedule mishap and basically made me feel like I was crazy for thinking it was Tuesday. Then when he asked if Wednesday would still work for me, I told him it depends on what time... But of course HE COULDN'T GIVE ME A TIME. Again he informed me someone would call in the morning. So I told him, if they call and tell me an inconvenient time, I will have to just cancel. This is the part that killed me.... He proceeds to tell me "well then I will just take you off the schedule altogether". Are you kidding me??? And when I asked him "so is this how you do business?"... HE HUNG UP IN MY FACE. I have never had a worse customer service experience in my life. He didn't even tell me his name! Whatever you do, DO NOT go with this company if you care about how people treat you. I have been working in customer service my whole life and I wouldn't dare talk to another person like that. He obviously didn't care for my business... Now I will make sure He doesn't get any of my friends' and families' either! read more
