I consider myself pretty handy but wallpaper is not something for a beginner. I'm so glad I decided to go with Nestor who did an incredible job on a challenging wallpaper project. He was extremely professional and handled the trim on $$$ Scalamandre paper with great care and expertise. He did such a remarkable job within the time frame he quoted that we were able to expand the scope of the project on site. He was very accommodating and reasonable in price. I would highly recommend him to any friend and look forward to working with him again.

Nestor provides excellent service! Responds and communicates in a quick timely manner. He's very accommodating and reasonably priced. He explained 2 different options I could take for my textured wall for the wallpaper to be installed - Liner paper vs Skimcoat (mud). Did the skimcoat so the accent wall is 100% smooth, and I couldn't be more happier with the outcome! BOUNUS- love that he used a non toxic glue for the wallpaper being installed in our baby room. They did a great job on our accent wall - we couldn't be happier with the results. When I reached out for a quote they were responsive and detailed, and even offered to come inspect the wall (since it was textured) to see if we would need additional liner or work done. They arrived on time and finished the project under the estimated window. They were super helpful and showed us options on the liner and how the paper would look with the texture so we could make an informed choice on the final result! They even wrapped all the socket fixtures so they matched the paper and stayed within the pattern. Overall this is my first time getting wallpaper and I'm kind of hooked on the look! I wrote this original rating based upon his word and agreeable to my knowledge that I have been in the business of manufacturing wall coverings for over 40 years! He agreed to do exactly what I specified using a vinyl prep ahead of time on the actual melamine boards and let them dry for adherence. Not only was this Not Done, this shabby installer tries to tell me that he knows better. If so, why did all of the brand new wallpaper come up and unglued? Doesn't make sense to me if he didn't listen to my years of experience, knowledge and advice. I had to glue down Every Single Strip he put down. Do not think for a moment that he would ever make things right. A bad-ass attitude on top of all of this crap. I am a ASID Certified Professional. This is only a laborer. Always think about what happens to fix a problem afterwards. read more

I had just made my final decision to do an accent wall resulting from an episode of Home Town. After a frantic search for the wallpaper, I began my search for an installer. Folks traditional painters remove wallpaper but you really need to look for a paper installer if you're serious about the job getting done right! Kathryn and I corresponded via YELP email, text and voice mail. I don't think I ever waited one hour for a response. I told her how big the wall was, sent her a link to the paper; she told me how much to order and quoted a price. She gave me some tips too which I found helpful like: Check the dye lots and ensure it's the paper you ordered. We agreed once paper arrived and confirmation ready to proceed, we'd set up a date! She arrived this morning right on time. (I needed to push original appt to an hour later for personal reasons) no problem. She's no BS - surveys the area to see what tools she needs, gets right to work and provides insight regarding install and after care. I did test her - I wondered if she'd remove the grate vs work around it - she removed it! A true professional! YELP, NextDoor, Facebook - social media in general is about the only way to find a "referral." Look no further folks. Kathryn is your gal. Up & Dry Wallpaper is amazing! I had ordered designer wallpaper from Italy & had no idea who to hire to install it... fortunately Yelp helped me find Up & Dry. The orange peel walls were no problem for Nestor & the Up & Dry team (I had a few other companies tell me get the texture fixed beforehand, with no recommendation on someone to sand or smooth coat). Up & Dry smoothed out the textured walls the same day they installed the wallpaper. Up & Dry had a very fair quote for installation & were very helpful & informative with every step of the process. Most importantly, the installation was FLAWLESS! No seams, pattern was perfect (on very imperfect walls), Nestor & the team were very accommodating (with the leftover double roll, same day, short notice... willing to wallpaper 2 other rooms (hallway & kitchen) at my request, and not only prepped the rooms well to not leave any mess... but actually took care of the trash as well.
