Absolutely love the atmosphere here. A "blast from the past" with all the games they have. I've seen some negative reviews about the pizza?? I thought it was tremendously delicious. Maybe people need to lower their standards expecting 5 star pizza at a bar. my girlfriend left her phone there, went back 30 minutes later after we left and they were keeping it safe behind the bar. Where do I start? I was blown away by the old school arcade games. It was pretty great. The games are super reasonable. Two bars, upstairs and downstairs. The balcony with chairs and flames from the tables where a great idea, and comes in handy for heat, when you wana step outside for fresh air but still keep warm on a chilly night. The pizza they have might you ask? WOW! So freaking delicious. They also make their own ranch and another big, WOW! So freaking good! Always positive vibes walking in. I haven't been alone when I go. But it's definitely a decent place to have a few drinks and still be able to have a really good time alone. Bar tenders are pretty friendly as well. Which goes a long way with me. We have been to Up-Down twice! The drinks are perfectly balanced which we love. They're smooth and consistent. We had the captain America and the Double Dragon. We loved them both! Great drinks The macaroni and cheese pizza is AWESOME!! Their other ones are okay, but that Mac and cheese one is excellent!!! There are tons of games to pick from and they even had Nintendo 64 hooked up on a projector which was super fun!! Loved that! We liked the vibe and will definitely be back!! read more

The service was offensive. I met some friends at Up-Down and moved their tab to mine. The entire time I was cordial with the bartender and left a tip above 20%. Afterward my friend told me the bartender commented to her "He bought drinks for another white woman last week," referring to me. First, that's a patently false statement. I hadn't been to Up-Down in months and at that time I was on a date with a Black woman. More importantly, commenting on patrons in that manner is inappropriate. I'm not sure who the bartender is, but we had drinks from 7 until 8:30 on 7/1/24. read more

When you didn't think OKC needed another barcade, you will discover it really did. This place is eye catching as you drive down 16th in the Plaza District. It's across Blackwelder from the velvet monkey salon. There used to be houses there, but now it's a 2 story bar for the 80s gamer. We got there before 8pm which scored us free tokens to play on. When we learned our COVID vaccine card could gain us extra tokens, we took advantage! Friendly staff, fun games: Skee Ball! A table-top 4-player Pac-Man, a wall of pinball machines, & several classic arcade favorites. The walls adorned with 80s imagery. 2nd floor bar was open air with a faux plant wall showcasing the famous Biggie lyric in white neon. Around sunset they light the tables' centerpiece fire features. Had so much fun my arms still hurt. Keep your hand-sani on you! after touching so many knobs, buttons, and skee balls, you'll be less germ afraid. --- I did see someone with a rag and spray that appeared to be keeping surfaces wiped. The bartender downstairs was very good at wiping the surface between orders. And the pizza was pretty great too! read more

Excellent experience for my first time visiting! The staff was so kind and considerate especially with the extra restrictions because of covid. So many games to select from, nice views on the patio, 2 bars to pick from, and pizza by the slice that is as big as your face! Great location too, just hard to park per usual in the plaza. I've been to maybe 5 or so different arcade style bars. Some have had free play, others have had 25-50 cent games but I have never been to an arcade/bar that has had so many old school games in my life. For example, they have a tapper cabinet and it is amazing to play it for the first time as it was mostly presented when it was created and not some emulator. True gamers understand the glory of this and the difference between an emulator and the real deal! This place is perfect as if I'd create an arcade bar myself! read more

The service at the bar was horrible. We went up when there was nobody there and both bartenders kept avoiding us. Then when other people walked up, they would go up to them and take their orders. We felt discriminated. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

Finally was able to check this place out. Was pretty fun. Drinks were good and the bartender was nice. I went on a Tuesday and a pop up was going on so I wasn't able to go up stairs. Fun games. It's worth checking out. I'd go back Tokens go a long way. read more

The service was despicable. I ordered two pizzas online to pickup. Their website gave the option of curbside pickup. I had not been feeling well all day and I was not dressed to go inside of a bar on a Saturday night. When I arrived to pick up my pizzas, I had no clue what to do or where to go - there were no instructions in the email - so I pulled up near the front door and put my hazards on. I got the attention of the security ID checker to let him know I was picking up my food. He was talking to a girl with glasses and her belly out and I heard her saying "why cant she come inside. does she not have any f***ing pants on or something" she kept making nasty comments about why I wouldn't go inside to get my own pizza and I finally yelled to her "I can hear you." The manager came out and I heard him say to the security boy while looking towards me "pizzas inside." They made it a HUGE deal to bring the pizzas to me. I tipped specifically for the curbside service too. Then the girl went on about how they were so nice for "babying the baby" when they brought me my pizza - to the curb - which is the specific service I had the option to pay for. All in all - I am so disgusted by the interaction, I don't even have the stomach for the pizza anymore and I will never be returning to UPDOWN OKC. read more

Went here on Christmas Day and it was a blast! They have different deals throughout the week for coins. The drinks were delicious and the bartenders were awesome! I do wish there was a little more variety of games, compared to other arcade bars, but I would go here just to hang out and drink! read more

Such a neat addition to the growing and maturing Oklahoma City culture. Drawn in by the beaming glow of nostalgia, you're transported into the quarter arcades of 80's and 90's childhood. But this time, instead of overly syrupy coke and stale soft pretzels, you tote well mixed drinks and phenomenal pizza through a childhood refuge. My only complaint is that as a lesser abled person, I can only access half of the gaming areas since the second floor can only be accessed by stairs. read more

I'm so glad OKC has more than one arcade bar since Up-Down opened last summer. I much prefer the vibe here all around from music to layout. The two stories with outdoor patios on both floors gives a lot of room for games or hanging out. They also have great daily specials and a large selection of local and craft beer. They have almost all of my favorite classic games too. If the machines ever eat your tokens, they are very nice about giving you more to make up for it. I've been happy overall with my experiences here, and even though it isn't a local establishment they really know what they're doing! read more

Such a cute place. It's basically a bar in an arcade. We came ion a Thursday night where their special was .10 cents to play. It wasn't too busy at all. The bartender was great. The girl coming around refilling our drinks had wonderful recommendations! And the guy behind the pizza counter had the best attitude. Not to mention the pizza was great There were some people hogging the skeeball game, which was a bummer, but they eventually moved. read more

This is not a bad little addition to the Plaza District. That being said, I have two complaints (one of which I can blame on myself for being out and about), but there seemed to be a severe lack of enforcement on the wearing of masks. Granted, it's hard to social distance in a bar, but it just appeared to me that the staff did not seem to care about at least trying to mitigate the risks. The second issue I had was that quite a few machines were out of service. This hindered the experience overall for me. I will never understand why it appears that every arcade across this country does not have a person(s) that can be called upon to enhance the patrons experience by assuring that the equipment is in good operating order. It's a neat spot, but I was frustrated with my initial experience. I do encourage others to give it a shot as it does offer a fairly neat atmosphere. read more

For starters, I love the ambience of the Plaza District in general. This is a nice new addition for entertainment. I'm told that this was their second weekend of business. The crowd there was good, but not too much. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The have a lot of beer on draft (I think somebody said over 50 beers). Pizza by the slice may not be top of the line, but it was good pizza at a reasonable price. They have a nice selection of arcade games and other types of games. I went intending to play some, but the group I was with ended up talking and I didn't get to get much into the games. They have nightly specials, so check them out on their website prior to going to see what's going on during a particular night. I'll definitely be going back and I'll make sure to hit up the games the next time I'm there. read more

Pure and simple fun, and they have a superb selection of craft beer. A lot of taps and a great bottle/can selection as well. Patios on both floors, so you don't have to leave the party for a smoke. The games they have are all classics and the pinball is addicting. As far as I could tell all machines only took 1 coin per play, so you will be able to give everything a try if you want to.
