I almost don't want to send this review bc then it will be busier and there won't be any donuts left for me...however this is hands down the BEST classic donut place around!!!! I have even been to specialty donut places and none ever compare to the donuts here. I no longer live in the area but I still drive to Upland to get some donuts. Their donuts are always fresh and their recipe and how they cook it makes a perfect donut. They are soft but a little crunch on the outside. And if you go in the morning before 9 ...so not even that early...you will more than likely get a warm donut. read more

Best donut shop around! These donuts taste different than other shops - they always taste fresh. Never do I detect old reused oil. Tiny inside, however the quality of their food is excellent. This place knows how to make donuts. read more

They have chocolate crullers! & the dough is soft!! My co-workers agree, their donuts are delicious! Every time I've been here there's a line out the door but don't let that discourage you. The shop is small so even if the line is long there may not be a lot of people inside. The staff keeps the line moving so help them out by having your cash ready. They also have cream puffs (custard inside) for $0.35 each ... yummy just a little too sweet to have more than 3 ;) I've also had the jalapeno ham & cheese croissant... very good but spicy so I end up taking some of the jalapenos out. I had no problems with the coffee\doughnut shop. Very clean. The glass for the display case was clean. Some doughnuts did sell out quickly, most likely due to the quality. They are served fresh. At least mine were. I also had the flaky doughnut not quite sure what it was called but it was great. Lastly the coffee was fresh and there was no left over beans in my cup and lets be honest even starbucks messes this up frequently. Overall I liked it and will return when ever im craving a doughnut. read more

I drive through different counties alot and this is by far the best donut place! Fresh and very soft! I actually believe it is better that Krispy Kremes (which are soft when it is FIRST made) which is too sugary. Upland donuts seem to keep it texture throughout the day! Agree with most other posters here.....have been going here since at least early 80's as a child.....that whole shopping center has a lot of memories. Back to donuts.....not a cliche statement, but these ARE the best donuts I have ever eaten. Nothing I have ever tried compares-they just don't hold up compared to upland donuts. Taking a bite of competitors donuts just tastes heavy and dry and old. I live out of state now, but will be definately getting my taste of upland donuts when I visit. All I can say is that what makes them so perfect is the dough is so light! That's the key-the dough. And they are usually very warm. The father is always so busy bringing fresh trays out. Hi everyone! I am currently enrolled in University of La Verne (BA), always loved donuts! The ones around La Verne was good, then one day during community service at PVW I met a colleague who also love donuts! And she told me if I really want good donuts go to "Upland Donuts" it can't compare! So by her words I when on Yelp for the first time and found the place. First impression, small family owned business and very nice people, it must be good and the line was long! It moves very quick though. I tried the chocolate donut and the cream puffs, I mean it was the best donuts I ever had period. She was right, it can't compare. It would be merely impossible to give this place anything lower than a five star! From service, to cleanness, to donuts! (Elite '13) seems to not understand what he/she's talking about, it make little to no logic. But hey, is their opinion. I will be coming back to this place and try all the other varieties and also bring buddies! hehe, By the way, this is my first review and my first time using Yelp, and I must say Yelp and its reviewers did not disappoint.
