I have been coming to Upland Nails since they opend. This is the best nail salon in southern Ca. Debbie and her crew of ladies are very experienced & polite and do there best to make you feel at home. The place is very clean which is a must. My favorite lady for pedicures is Jolie she does awesome designs and is very patient. Debbie is my favorite for waxing she is excellent at eyebrows and legs. Then there is Lana she does facials in a very relaxing atmosphere takes her time and her facials are the best they usually last about a little over an hour. These ladies are awesome!!!!!! This most definitely is a salon and all the other ladies that work there are just as nice and they all do wonderfull work. read more

THEY DID NOT SANITIZE there equipment from one client to the next, I watched a lady work with her tools on one client and RINSE it in the sink and continued to use it on the next! I don't know if this is considered common practice but for me that's a serious hell no! I will not be returning to this nail salon! They do NOT steralize equipment used on clients. Went there because they are open late. Had a pedicure and re-dip. Noticed they reused tools on each client. Went to back surchasing for sterlizer, they did not have one. I ended up with all toes having nail fungus. To remove my dipped polish the put pillow on my lap with acetone to put whole hands in 20 minutes. It spilled on me, the ground off polis using electric grinder, did not scrape of polish. Then moved me to a nail station, a new lady ground my nails again, then the woman who did the dip ground again causing the nail to be so thin it burned. As she Diped on the aclic with gel she put her finger in one nail. This caused a big dip in the polish. When I said something she just put more fill causing ugly nail. Then charged more for a shinny finish, no other salons charge for shinny finish. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT FUNGUS ON NAILS. My toe nails were white after taking off polish I had to grind off the fungus. read more

I'm a regular at Upland Nails and have to say I've never been disappointed. Some ladies are definitely better than others, but for the most part, even the not so great ones are mediocre. The prices are unbeatable and you really do get quality service. Trisha has done my nails before, she's fabulous, but only works a few days a week. One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. Not only did she rush through the job, not smoothing my feet at all and barely moisturizing and massaging my legs, but she ripped off the cuticles on my big toes and then laid the cuticles on top of my feet instead of disposing of them. It's been over two weeks since the pedicure and my right big toe is still swollen and tender to the touch, and will require antibiotics to mend. I will not be returning. read more

I came here the Saturday before Mother's day and it was packed. Walking in and seeing a wait, I was almost turned off because I walked there from home and it was an extremely hot day. But they were super accomodating and were ready for me right away! They charge $13 for spa pedi! But their manis are $10, compared to the one closer to where I live $15 & $8 respectively. So the total cost is not significantly different. Surprised there were so many little kids in this salon that had their nails done! Maybe as they have to wait for mommy to get hers for Mother's day. The aesthetician must've wanted a big tip, complimenting my good skin quality, saying i looked like a model for "America's next top Model". But she trimmed too deeply on my hand and cut a chunk of my cuticle off, it bled, she applied some ointment to it, so it puffed up & stung and now has a scab. I also don't like when they trim & file my nail to square shape, it breaks easier. She also rushed the mani top coat and didn't apply to the full sides of the nails, just 2 strokes on the top. I had to go home and reapply top coat to the sides. Granted they work hard and were busy, but still, I expect up most quality at a salon or I rather do it myself. I have been looking for a nice, clean, friendly and affordable nail shop --- I finally found it! I came in for a pedicure. I was sat as soon as I walked in. She offered me magazines and water before I could sit. There were 3 people working and 4 ladies in for services (I came at 2 on a Thursday). They did a great job at working and making sure we were all satisfied and well taken care of. I am not a huge 'reviewer' but I felt compelled to let people know that they did a great job and it was an amazing for the price!! Debbie and her staff are amazing! She is so sweet and they always do an amazing job! She even did me the favor of waiting for me as I got off if work late! they rarely use the drill on nails, which is a lot healthier for them and being that I have issues w ingrowns, they always manage to get them out and I leave happy and w cute toes! This was mine and my daughters first time here. I went cause I noticed they were a little cheaper then other salons which was great and in my budget. I got a gel manicure and they talked me into getting my daughters gel as well (she's 10) figured if it lasts longer why not. Everything was great up until I went to pay. $52 was my total! I said "wait how much was mine?" She said $29 I said I thought it was $21? Well they charged me $8 extra dollars for what they call "cat eye polish" without even letting be know before hand. If I would have known I would have chose another color. Here I am goin there cause I liked the prices then I get ripped off without any kind of communication, I was not happy one bit and will not be goin back. I called to complain and the owner had nothing to say but I'm sorry. Didn't offer me a discount next time or nothing. Talk about bad customer service. I got a full set of acrylics and I'm concerned. I noticed towards the end that the tools she was using was in a container that said "Soiled Tools." Soo basically she used dirty tools to do my nails AND she cut the shit of my middle finger while shaping it. Hope I don't get any diseases or fungus. read more

Wow.. first place in all of upland/montclair/chino that did not try to remove the non-existent callus on the inside of my feet at my big toe knuckles. I did buy and be up sale of the massage callus remover treatment. Their stage 3 treatment. Was $21 total. Got the best half hour pedicure of my life. Did not cut the outsides of my toenails to create an ingrown later on. They did not cut my toenails all the way down to the quick either. There was not any language barriers. There was not a lot of chatter in the native tongue. Was very relaxed that Spa chairs were awesome working perfectly. Waited about three minutes to get into a chair. They used individual liners for the spa chairs. Was an awesome experience. I have been to over 40 salons trying to find the perfect pedicure. This one tops them all. I was in the salon about 4 years ago and did not have a very good experience but they had a sign outside about new Spa chairs so I gave them a second shot and I'm glad I did. I was a regular customer of Upland Nails since last year. I hadn't been back for a while and went in last Saturday to find it under new management, with all new staff. I decided to give it a try. I have no complaints about my pedicure - the lady did a wonderful job and my feet felt great. I had come in with the intention of getting a fill on my nails. The manicurist "Tina" talked me into getting a whole new set. Since I was starting out with a new person doing my nails I told her to go ahead. She then proceeded to use a plastic nail tip to attempt to pry off my old nails, ripping one of my natural nails in the process. After she finally got them all off, my fingers were very sore. She then started on my new set. When the time came for her to shape them, she began using an electric grinder tool and cut 5 of my 10 fingers in the process. The nail she had ripped looks especially awful due to her half-assed attempt at fixing it. The owner told her to take it off and redo it, but I said no because my hands were already hurting. To sum up the whole experience, the owner knew I was not happy and followed me to my car to tell me to come back another time and she would fix my nails for me. By the time I got home, my cut fingers were actually swollen and I had to take some pain reliever. I have never had an experience like this having my nails done in my life. read more

Yup 4 weeks...they only charge $22 for them! I hadn't gotten a pedi n 3 weeks soooo I had a lot... Abviously she had forgot... Because of her rushing... She said no no... I do for you... I told her "you're rushing and you forgot to clean around my nail to prevent ingrowns.... She said no no you do n't have ingrown... I said please clean around my nail to prevent..... This is a great nail place, it is low price and good service (for the price). I get a pedi and a acrylic fill for $27, wow I used to pay $45 at the previous salon in Rancho Cucamonga. Ellen does my fills and I ask her to make them thin to make them more natural looking. They do need to improve on their nail polish selection but that would be the only improvement. The place has new spa chairs and they are really relaxing. You should give them a try!! read more

I went in to get a pedi and a gel mani, kind of in a hurry. They told me it would take 2+ hours. Still ended up getting it done and they did a pretty good job given they knew I was in a hurry. Very friendly staff. The spa chairs were awesome! Better than other ones I've been to and when you're hard working mom, those chairs are sometimes the highlight. The only complaint is I wish they were cleaner. I'm a bit of a germ freak so I would only go back if its a last resort. read more

Every time I come here they always tell me they have a long wait and basically come back tomorrow. How are you booked for the entire day 11am in the morning? I fell it's the color of my skin. She told me to come back tomorrow which I agreed to. But every time I come here they do this . To me it's discrimination. So make you call and set up an appointment before they even know who you are . I set up appointment before and was told they was busy also but she did my nails that day . Went in for gel nail polish about 2 weeks ago and tried their new metallic polish. She put this magnet on it and made a wave like pattern. I loved the way the turn out! They lasted about 2 weeks for me cause I am a stay at home mom and wash dishes and use cleaning supplies daily. I was very impressed how they held up! It was the regrowth that was bothering me more. So went again today to have them done for the 2nd time and I am not very happy with them this time. One of the nails is bumpy like she didn't put enough clear polish (there's like 4-5 different polishes they do for this procedure). You can also see specks of the blue I had on cause she didn't get it all. So with the french manicure polish you can see a little left over blue through the clear at the bottom. Wish she would have cleaned it up a little better. But over all this nail salon is very clean, the ladies are nice and they prices are reasonable. I plan to go back in the future. I just wont as for the lady who sits in the first station. read more

This place is terrible... I brought my GF here and it took 3hrs for a full set and pedi and that doesn't include the original waiting time. They don't have the right staff to service the clientele and they had a very inexperienced manicurist attempt at a full set and she totally just messed it all up! Then we had to wait for the person who was originally SUPPOSED to do it and that took a long ass time. These people have no regard for their clients time or satisfaction. First time coming here; live nearby so i thought i'd stop by.. very clean atmosphere, nice people working, and i was the last of the 4 people that was in front of me, for the first, few minutes all the workers were talking to their clients, then after the first few people left.. i was last.. and before u know it, they started speaking in their language! Went in for fills and a pedicure for me and then a manicure for my sister. They took me right in for the pedicure and said it'd be just a minute for the manicure and fills. While my sister was picking a color they took someone ahead of her! She was a walk in, I could hear the conversation. But they claimed she was an appointment. So that frustrated me. Came with no appt. for the first time and will definitely be back. The most thorough pedicure I have ever gotten, and my feet were really "yucky" when I came in. Charged me 5 dollars extra to remove the callus' and dead skin on the bottom of my feet, but in the shape they were in, well worth it. Came out beautifully. Very cordial Asian staff. Also had a manicure since I was there and it turned out nice also. Large selection of polishes/laquers. Like I say, my feet were an absolute mess, was taken quickly when I arrived and with continuous work, took over 2 hours for both pedi/mani because of the superb work that was done.
