The entire staff--from the administrative team to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and surgeons--were not only competent and talented but also genuinely friendly, patient, and attentive. Every question was answered with care, and I always felt respected and prioritized during my recovery. Beyond the medical excellence, the hospital environment itself was superb. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the attention to hygiene was constant and reassuring. Even the food was delicious and provided great comfort during my recovery. I was also deeply touched by the thoughtful details, like the substantial care package and the puzzles provided to help pass the time--a small gesture that made a huge difference in making the long stay feel more manageable. MY manager isn't here, won't be here until 7" in the nastiest most rude tone ever. Total lack of professionalism, empathy or compassion at all for the situation. I wouldn't let my dog deliver at this hospital!

When I told her I would be willing to try antidepressants that had failed me as a teenager, since I was now an adult and the medication may affect me differently now, she accused me of simply not taking my medication regularly as a teen. When I told her I had experienced "brain zaps" and my doctor didn't know or didn't explain what they were, she accused me of lying. When I was recovering, she woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me I was probably going to be arrested. She is the exact example of why people don't seek help with mental health. I firmly believe she has shamed many patients before me, and some of them might not be here today because of her. I didn't seek further treatment for over a year due to her atrocious behavior. I had no energy or self esteem to make this complaint at the time, which is common among those struggling with depression. I was fortunate enough to get help from a different provider that worked with me, and I'm better than ever now.

I did not have a choice on the hospital I went to, UPMC was the only place open and I was hardly even conscious when I arrived. For the love of god, if you have any choice on where you get your treatment, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. All Hospitals are expensive, but usually they are willing to actually work with you on the things they charge you for. UPMC has told me on no less than 4 occasions now that they will absolutely not work with me on my bill. I asked for explanations on things like the 10,000% mark-up on the same nausea medicine I get over the counter for $10, and every single time I'm told "Oh that's what it costs, this is a teaching hospital!". They don't even try to explain duplicate charges. I have been forced to take a ridiculous amount of time off of work to jump through their hoops only to get absolutely no where with them. Bonus points: Apparently the emails they have listed all over their website are not actually in use. They say they'll send you information in the mail, important things like the financial aid application you requested, and then they just won't. But they are real quick to threaten you with collections!

In addition to walking by a gazillion times whilst living there, I'd also done some volunteering (with organizations and not directly with the hospital). I had oral pain medication that was not reducing the pain. So after some time I asked for a one-time dose so that all those half doses he was giving could actually have a fighting chance. He held firm with the day team dc ( which was my idea instead of spacing it out). I hurt so bad that I vomited. The next morning I asked to be discharged because I was not going to allow that man to care for me any longer. Day team didn't think that day was right but after we discussed things, they agreed to discharge me. Lord help whomever that man becomes doctor to. Side note, I am not better and sadly may end up right back there in the next 24 hours.

According to its website, it provides assessments and treatments for cold, flu, COVID-19, sinus problems, infections, allergies, rashes, migraines, sprains, strains, orthopedic injuries, and more. Days ago, my husband had a bad fall, and he suffered many injuries. He felt concerned about one particular area of his body, so I recommended that he go to an urgent care. He chose this one. He did not complain to me about the employees here. He said that the staff did an x-ray, and their interpretation was that his rib was not fully broken but might be either slightly cracked or bruised. They said that his rib would heal on his own and to take pain medication. The staff also briefly looked at his other injuries and said that he was doing OK and would heal over time.
