Don't deal with sales jerks and bullies unless you have to. There are other Honda dealerships around within driving distance. Shop around. I didn't deal with them as much as I could because their prices weren't as competitive. I get it you need to chat with the manager to see where your margin is but what they offered was $4,000 more than other dealerships. After I told Ben I found a better deal he asked for a proof. I simply ignored. Next day got a message they can match any other dealer to keep it local without a proof. Duh. Not wasting my time. Got much better deal in another dealership with nicer salesmen. A month ago I found an A6 2005 Allroad at the dealership and purchased the vehicle. That was the high point/. The dealership is not qualified to sell Audis for the reason every question regarding the car the salesperson had to google the answer. Once the cash changed hands the salesperson failed to return any calls regarding the dealership obtaining a part to allow the placement of the front license (NY). Monies were given to the dealer to register the car in NY. At the end of the registration period they informed me they could not register the car and sent back the taxes and other fees. After being told i would receive all the fees I was short changed $100.00 the amount the agent withheld for starting the registration process which they were unable to complete. So besides poor service there was the theft of $100.00. read more

Some of the good for starters: Service Advisors are friendly and helpful. The facility is nice - good waiting area and you can have a cup of coffee or grab a bottle of water. When pushed, they'll stick to the original quote and honor the price that they've quoted. That's where the good in the service area ends, though. They will try to upsell you on unnecessary services or make things sound worse than they are. For example, on my 2008 Honda Ridgeline where new brakes were put on less than 5000 miles ago, they wanted me to put on new rotors (again). Similarly, the radiator was flushed at that time I did the brakes but, UV Honda recommended having the service performed again as the service wasn't completed at their dealership. There were other items on the list of To Dos that came from the technician that, later, the service advisor said were not truly necessary. If I was less educated about vehicles, I might have gone for what they offered - which came to more than $1500 worth of work. I happen to be the son of a mechanic. I tried contacting the Service Manager who was unrelenting about the additional services. So, I took my truck to an independent mechanic - this same afternoon where I had the car at UV Honda. While technically they may have been on point with a few items, the mechanic said that it comes down to the reasonableness and urgency of what needs to be done. UV Honda made it sound like it was all urgent. There was pressure to spend money that was likely unnecessary at the time. Even their advisor, though, as I checked out said that it wasn't all necessary. I was also approached by their used vehicle manager - who offered me an insulting value for the vehicle. Really, nearly $10k less than what folks online are asking. Again, this seems and felt predatory. To boot they have a 3% credit card charge. I used my debit card, which avoids the 3%. It's annoying, though, that they charge that. They need to get their processing in order at their bank imho. So, yes, it's a dealer. Yes they service Honda's. They use Honda parts. My opinion, though, is to AVOID Upper Valley Honda, though. There are many qualified local mechanics in the region. read more

I really wish my experience with this dealership had gone better, because I went into this seriously ready to buy. I had my down payment ready, all my documents, and I was prepared to drive hours to pick up a vehicle. But the whole process was confusing from the start. Different people kept giving me different info about financing, paperwork, and what I was actually approved for. I sent everything they asked for right away, but the communication just never lined up. I brought my car to Upper Valley Honda to have the airbag light fixed (with the light on it didn't pass inspection and only Honda service can fix it apparently). The problem was a broken part that cost $34 - but received an invoice for $434. There is a mandatory $200 fee for running test on the car, then another $200 labor to fix it. I find it ridiculous and a total rip off. Also, please prepare a check to pay with, because they would add another 3% if you pay with credit card. I feel for the people who need to break the news about these fees to the customers. The staff is great, knowledgable and kind - but the business model is awful. I had service done on my vehicle and took their shuttle back to my car. The service tech never called me for a pick up after the work was done. I called them at 4:30 and was told the shuttle would be unavailable until the morning. They claimed they tried to call me but I have no VM or call record from them. When I spoke to the service tech, they claimed that they were "too busy" to call and let the shuttle driver call me instead. Shuttle driver never called, and I now I have no way to get back to my car until the morning. Apparently, no one at the dealership has the time to make a 10 minute drive to make this right. read more

On Monday, September 18, 2023 I left work in Hartland, Vermont to drive the 3.5 miles home in my 2019 Honda HRV. I made it almost half way before, as I was climbing up hill on a dirt road the car just stopped responding to the gas pedal and I was stopped, dead in the middle of the road. There were no warnings, electric seemed fine. I turned the car off and attempted to restart it. It would not start again. Luckily two of my neighbors came by and blocked the road in both directions so I was able to roll backwards and into a driveway to get out of the lane of travel on Merritt Rd. Then one of my neighbors drove me back to my business so my daughter could drive me back to the HRV and get all my stuff out of it and then bring me home. I used my AAA membership to have the HRV towed to Upper Valley Honda in White River Junction, Vermont to figure out why a basically new car (with EXTREMELY low miles) would just die... The next morning, Tuesday September 19, 2023 I called Upper Valley Honda shortly after 8am to explain to them what happened. I spoke to "Scott," who told me that he would be my "contact person" and that he also was the one who had found my HRV in the parking lot and attempted to start it and realized why it was there. They had rolled the car into the service garage. Several hours later Scott called me back and was, in a word, WEIRD. It was a very strange conversation, but I finally managed to get out of him that his mechanic there at Upper Valley Honda had REFUSED to work on my car. He had popped the hood, declared that the car "must live on a farm" and the smell was so strong (from inside the engine compartment???) that he could not touch the car. Apparently the mechanic's manager okayed his refusal to work on my car and they rolled my HRV back out into the parking lot. Scott then told me I could either have my car towed to a different service station or come clean it. I Was Speechless. Amazed really. May I just say: I HAVE A JOB. I own my own business. I work for a living, usually 10 hours a day. I do not have time to go over to Upper Valley Honda and CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF MY CAR SO THEY CAN DIAGNOSE THE REASON IT WON'T RUN. (Joke was on me though, because Upper Valley Honda KNEW what the problem was...) I had AAA go back to Upper Valley Honda (AAA was as confused as I was about why they were towing my car for a second time in less than 24 hours and from the lot of a Honda dealership no less) and tow my car out to Precision Motorworks in Bethel, Vermont. Now, here's the thing: the "problem" with my HRV was that Honda has a recall on the fuel pump and mine had died. Precision Motorworks WENT AND GOT THE REPLACEMENT FUEL PUMP FROM UPPER VALLEY HONDA. WHERE IT WAS IN STOCK. Not only did Upper Valley Honda have the RECALLED fuel pump in stock, they knew precisely what car Precision Motorworks was purchasing the part for. MY CAR. The Upper Valley Honda Representative/Employee said, "Yeah. We couldn't work on that car." Upper Valley Honda REFUSED to perform Honda recall service on my car. So I had to pay an actual service station to perform that work. I will, obviously, be filing in Court against Upper Valley Honda to recover every, single cent I have paid to get the work done they refused to do. Along with days and days of inconvenience of having no car, having my car moved around and finally having to get a ride to get it from 45 min away, instead of the 10 min ride to White River Junction. Did Upper Valley Honda refuse to service my car because I'm a woman?? Was it the Black Lives Matter stickers on my car?? Because saying my car "smelled like a farm" is a lot LESS believable as a reason to deny service on an actual HONDA RECALL. It never would have occurred to me that was even a possibility. I obviously cannot continue to own a brand that does not stand behind its product or provide any kind of reliable service network. The 1.9 star rating on Dealer Ratings should really be more of a "red flag" to Honda and all the rest of us out here just trying to get recalls taken care of on our Honda vehicles... read more

Service here is deplorable, it should not take 2 hours for a simple oil change, but its never a simple oil change, there is always something else the car needs. They address the A16 and A17 codes but scam you into other Services that the car does not need. I brought my 2021 CRV for its 6-month oil change A16 code in December 2022 thinking I would be in and out in less than 1 hour with a bill for less than $100, I thought wrong, my bill was over $400. I am a sucker when they say you need cabin and engine filters changed, they even talked me into agreeing to get my brakes cleaned. A simple oil change turned into a $400 bill; I was adamant after that experience that never ever will I go back to Upper Valley Honda. I wish there was another Honda dealership in the area, 6 months later today July 7th now I am getting an A17 code, since I just had my snow tires removed, I did not need my tires rotated but I was desperate for another oil change and figured I would give them another chance to redeem themselves. It was another bad experience, I got suckered again thinking I needed cabin and engine filters changed, 6 months and 9,000 miles later, when Honda recommends changing between 15,000 to 30,000. They showed me this video of my car up on a lift then showing me how dirty my cabin filter was, how do I know that the filter in the video is the filter from my car and how do I know that they even changed it? It was NOT another simple in and out oil change, I got charged $60 labor for the oil change and $90 of labor to snap in 2X $30 filters $150 of labor, so now my simple $70 oil change was now $270, what a scam, this service department should be investigated. I spoke to the General Manager Steve Perlowski to no avail; I was not satisfied with his offer to credit me $100 for my next oil change. I will take my business elsewhere. They just lost a very good customer; I was ready to trade in my 2021 CRV for the newer 2023's. read more

Good for them that they have a monopoly here in the Upper Valley due to the distance to other dealers. Last week Upper Valley Honda sent me coupons via email for discounts on certain services. I used their online scheduling to set up an appointment for a service. When I dropped off the car I asked them to check in on one other issues. I was initially impressed by the efficiency and knowledge at the service desks. I came back at the time I was told to, and the originally scheduled service was not done. When I tried to talk to the service rep, he became angry, defensive, blamed me and accused me of berating him. He kept talking over me and wouldn't let me speak. I showed him my email confirmation listing the service and appointment, but was told that the system was inefficient and that I should have said something when I got there. He also said that that service could not have been done in the time allotment that I gave them. I reminded him that he told me when to pick up the car, not the other way around. The whole situation was aggressive and very unprofessional. At the end of our conversation the employee took of his mask while speaking angrily. I think this was the most aggressive part of the situation, considering COVID-19. I tried to call Honda USA and their phone line said that they are experiencing technical difficulties. I sent emails. Gerrish Honda, these people are NOT. Gerrish was a great dealer for many years, with a stellar reputation. We bought many cars from them, and they did all our service. Never an issue These clowns who took over from Gerrish are not the same caliber at all. You can't get them on the phone, and they don't return phone calls. We needed service on our CRV recently, so we called and went through their phone maze. Can't reach anyone. We left a couple voice mails. That was a couple weeks ago. We're still waiting for that callback! I am writing this review from the waiting room at the service department at Grappone Honda in Concord, NH. After we couldn't get UV Honda to return our calls, we called Grappone. We easily made an appointment with them. It's a bit further to drive, but the professionalism of Grappone is light-years from that of UV Honda. Our next Honda will most definitely come from Grappone. We asked a couple local mechanics about the reputation of UV Honda versus Grappone. All concurred that Grappone was a much better place. Also, this business apparently shills their own reviews. I see one glowing Google review that includes "great place to work", meaning it was written by an EMPLOYEE. read more

Today I had an appointment with the service department that was scheduled for 9:15 am. I dealt with a man named Steve, who I had talked previously to the day before due a concern with all my dashboard lights turning on. Steve already had told me not to come in the day I was concerned because he was worried about not having any technicians to help. This I can understand. I arrive at the dealership at 9:25 and had requested a loan before hand. I was able to get a loaner and went on my merry way while my car was being worked on - or so I thought. By noon today, I had not received any call or text about my car being serviced, so I decided to call and ask what was going on. Steve told me that the technician was on lunch and that when he was done he would get my car started. What is the point of making an appointment at 9:15 if my car isn't looked at until after noon? 5 HOURS LATER...my car was ready. I asked Steve if I had waited at the dealership instead of taking a loaner if I would have also waited 5 hours. He said that he should have told me that on Saturdays they only have 2 technicians and that he probably should have told me before hand that they take all the people who are "waiting at the dealership" before they service the people who decide to use a loaner. There was no offer of a discount or anything and Steve's ego is too big to apologize to a long time customer. Steve needs to do better and this dealership needs to do better. read more

In August of 2023 I purchased a 2017 Hyndai Elantra from Upper Valley Honda. Loved the car and the gas mileage. Within 2 months I had to replace the wipers. Then I put winter tires on and was told that the tires on it were no good and could not be put back on in the spring as it would not pass inspection. Therefore I will have to purchase another set of tires for summer. I then had an issue with my right blinker light not working and took it in to were they did a test on it and were gonna charge me $175.00, but only ended up charging me half. They told me it was gonna cost me $350.00 to fix. I took it to my garage and they had it fixed in 10 minutes for little to nothing. Also having an issue with the front passenger side door not wanting to open from the outside. When I went in they said none of my issues were covered under any type of warranty. Not very happy about how the treat there customers and will not purchase a vehicle from them again. read more

Assisted my parents in trading their '18 Odyssey for a '21 Pilot. We scheduled an appt w/Ben on 4/13 at 9:30am. The appt was made days earlier. Upon arrival Ben was working w/someone else. We had to wait & he had to excuse himself for several minutes at a time, to continue to assist her. My parents were offered a trade value for their car. While we were waiting for Ben we ran the Kelly Blue Book numbers & realized the trade offer was way too low. We were unable to proceed w/negotiations that day as there were no sales manager or GM in the store. They were at meetings. We were not advised of this issue prior to the appt. Ben was off 4/14 so we had to wait an additional day. They came back & offered $1000 more. My parents weren't thrilled but they accepted. On 4/15 met w/ the finance manager. He reviewed the back end warranty products. My parents opted for the Sentinal product. They had previously had Safe Ride (an excess wear & tear warranty) & the manager asked if they would like it again. He verbally reviewed coverages at which time he stated that key fob batteries were covered under this warranty. At this point my father spoke up and said he wanted the coverage & inquired about 4 fob batteries he replaced & had to pay for on Odyssey. Service never checked warranties or even asked my dad about them. So he did what he thought was right and paid for them. We were advised there was nothing that could be done as it was a Honda (manufacturer) issue. I directly asked for a service credit in the amount of the 4 batteries & was told he couldn't do that. I asked to be contacted by the GM & that never happened. I attempted to locate the GM's email address but failed. I contacted Honda & they did not have it either. I filed a complaint w/Honda re: the issue & still did not get follow up from the GM. This forced me to file a complaint with the VT Attorney General Consumer Division. I received word from the AG on 4/26 that they had reached out to UV Honda & asked them to contact me. I received a call from Steve less than an hour later. I told him it was a bad time. He would not accept that & pressed for me to deal w/the issue in that moment while I was caring for a sick family member. He told me that fob batteries weren't covered under Safe Ride but offered a free oil change. I accepted wanting to be done, until I read Steve's reply to my AG. Complaint. He wrote: " Good Morning, The Lyons did purchase both safe ride an sentinel. Neither of these products nor the factory warranty cover key fob battery replacements. In review of their service history I see no replacement of said batteries. I do see normal service and factory warranty repair items taken care of. After a conversation with their daughter this morning we are covering their first service on the new Pilot which cost $60 to offset the four batteries they purchased for the fobs @ a cost of $40. This is a gesture of goodwill on this matter." 1. Honda covers fob batteries under factory warranty for the first 6 months of ownership per page 9 of the owners manual for both the traded vehicle and the new vehicle. Not sure if then incorrect information is the result of a lack of knowledge of the product or deceptive sales practices. 2. I cannot find any independent information for Safe Ride. At the time of the original purchase we were not given information about what this covers. It is not online that I can find and when I used the online chat tool on the UV Honda website I was told I'd have to speak with a member of their team. I declined as already the story has changed over and over again. It seems we are at the mercy of whatever UV Honda decides they want to cover. 3. Steve inferred that we were making this up. My parents verified that they paid cash for one set of batteries and didn't have the service repair order any longer but found credit card receipts for 2 batteries replaced 3/3/2020 priced at $8.40 each. The issue here is NOT the $33.60 that my parents spent on items that should have been covered. This is about repeatedly receiving misinformation, being lied to and being dismissed. UV Honda clearly has no problem taking advantage of elderly and vulnerable people who can't or don't remember what it is they are being sold on the back end. Seems the hope is to collect the money for the coverage and then charge customers for items that they said were covered. The coverage on the '18 Odyssey was just shy of $1,000 and yet they weren't given the chance to use it as they should have been. My concern is this - my parents and many like them are on fixed incomes and they purchase warranties so they don't have to make a choice between fixing a car and purchasing medication and food. The business practices at UV Honda are lazy and uneducated at best and deceptive and predatory at worst. This issue is unresolved. read more

I went in this week to my local Honda dealership. I bought my used 2014 CRV from them and in the past they were pretty straightforward and honest, so I decided to get my state inspection and an oil change and keep all the paperwork consistent. My CRV has 33,000 miles on it (I got it when it had 25,000 --I don't drive much and keep the car in storage for large parts of the year). I arrived at 7:30am for my appointment. I was asked to text a number so that the technician could send me photos while they worked. Sounded cool! Except then it didn't work, and I couldn't get or receive their messages. They said the "system was down." After an hour, the ?account manager? came out and informed me that my car would not pass inspection in its current state: First, he said that my brakes were rusty, and the rust had eaten through the brake pads, so I would need all new brakes. (A friend later told me this was impossible). Second, he said that the tire treads were down to "a 5." He did not contextualize this, but according to Google searches, it seems that he was referring to 5/32" of tread, and that is passable. Both in New Hampshire and Vermont, the requirement is to have more than 2/32″ of tread depth remaining on a car tire. But I did not have that information when at the dealership, and they guy said I'd have to get these things fixed for inspection or I would fail the inspection, and he told me that "no one is going to pass this car." I was stressed as I have no time, and was going to miss important meetings-- this should have just been an easy appointment. The guy insisted that all four tires were problematic, even though I replaced the front tires just before the pandemic, after which I worked out of state with the car in storage, so there should have been little wear in the front and uneven wear throughout. I explained this and then he said it was also "weather cracks" that would void the tires But anyway, I have a demanding job and was very pressed for time, so I agreed to new the new tires. They did not ask me what brand or kind of tire I would like for replacement, and didn't let me go see my car or the tire treads. Finally they are done 3 1/2 hours in. I get a $1500 bill and the manager person apologizes, because while they used to service vehicles in NH when their dealership was there, now that they moved offices they can't service my NH vehicle in Vermont, and so I'll have to go somewhere else to get the inspection. ALL THE CHARGES were related to their threats about passing inspection!! Obviously I could have handled these scam artists better-- I should have left when they said "new tires." I did have a good past with them, however, and I was stressed. I forgot they were now in Vermont and that I needed a NH inspection that they might not be able to do, though they also never mentioned it when they pulled up my account with my address or saw my car with plates. Lesson to you, reader: beware! They literally lied about state requirements to my face, made me feel like I had no alternative, then all the while knowing that I would need to get an inspection somewhere else, they decided to make some money and completely scammed me. My husband went to simply look & talked with someone saying he was just thinking about a new car and I am the one who started getting phone calls. I took my car there once for a recall and they found my number & started calling ME. When I told them to stop...Dan hung up on me. Btw...after my recall I was getting at least 4 emails a week, and multiple phone calls to get me to trade in my car! This place is WAY too pushy and rude. Have used Gerrish for many years dating back to Woodstock. I was excited to continue purchasing new Honda's in White River since it is closer. Each time my wife took her car in for an oil change she would mention something else they fixed. Then I started paying attention! They always have something to address which doesn't need addressing. Item such as new brakes,ball joints etc. when you say no thank you they reply "I'll cut you a deal" after quoting a price for work when you pick up the car it's 100+ more. I visited the dealership today, after receiving this letter. In the letter it said that they would give me $16,551.00 for my 2012 Honda Pilot.. ( they have my car's info from it being serviced there.) The letter also states that,..." I will also give you up to an additional $4,416.00 this Saturday only",..AND my new payment would be less than my current Pilot. So I went there expecting to get a total of $20,967.00 toward a new Honda Pilot, and have a lower monthly payment. This is a total scam, and a lie. I was offered $5,000.00 for my trade, and no $4,426.00., and my payment would be DOUBLE my current. This is extremely deceptive., if not bordering on criminal. BEWARE!!! The service department took complete advantage of my 83 year old mother! Not once, but twice! My mother went in to get an oil change (with her $19 dollar oil change coupon) in her practically new 2018 Honda CRV with 22,500 miles. When she left she had four new tires and new front brake rotors and pads. Again, 83 years old woman with a 2018 CRV w/22,500 miles..... There was no way that she needed new tires but they knew my mother didn't know any better. Also, my mother thinks she has a good friendship with her service advisor, I think his name is Chris. They are not friends! They are 100% shysters. I called the service manager and he tried to explain that her tires were "worn." Those tires should last at least 50,000 miles! I explained to him that I was almost certain my mother does not do doughnuts in the parking lot or drag race on the back streets. That could be the only explanation behind needing new tires. If it was a misalignment problem they never "recommended" an alignment. I knew this guy was a complete shyster when he tried to explain that my mother needed the new brake rotors because they were rusted..... Really?? Rotors rust in a few hours and one push on the brakes and they're clean again..... He didn't have a single valid excuse for the bill of goods they sold her. I gave them an opportunity to come clean and do the right thing and they refused. Next thing I know, my mother goes back to them for a safety inspection and they recommended more oil ( she had an oil change, by them 3 weeks prior) and a new air filter, she said they told her she had "pine needles in the filter." five stars. simply five stars. you don't need to know much more than that. this group of professionals was so accommodating, patient, and FUN! They made the experience of purchasing a new car personal and very one-on-one, like they give a damn about their customers and not just the commission. I worked with Loriston F. over the phone and through email, and throughout the ENTIRE process he was courteous and prompt, kind and concerned. I met Loriston and another associate, Lane, at the dealership and both young men were so wonderful and incredibly thorough. Their manager. Steve, also came over to introduce himself and make sure I was completely satisfied with the entire process and outcome. Not only was the price of my vehicle an incredible bargain to beat, the service was astounding. Don't go here for service on your Honda! My car had trouble starting in the heat. They told me it was the battery and replaced it for $125. That wasn't it, so I took it back. After $250 of labor, they found that it was an after-sale security system that simply needed to be unplugged. About a year later, I was telling the story to a mechanic at a small garage and he cut me off. He said, "let me guess. It was an after-sale security system, right?" (When a Honda comes in with that issue to him, he unplugs the thing and sends the person on their way.) If a mechanic that works on all types of car sees this problem often enough in a Honda that he can diagnose it with half a story, I'm positive Gerrish HONDA knew of the issue! They chose to job me for $375, and they'll do the same to you. read more

I am not at all happy with the service at Upper Valley Honda. They have let me down several times. I've had enough and I will never step foot in the dealership again. I bought a brand new 2017 Civic from Sherman Gates. He was a nice guy that treated me like a human being. I should have known something was wrong when they ran him out of the place after working there only a few months. My first issue with them happened when I went in for the first inspection (which they wouldn't do when I purchased the car- but made me pay $20 for their "free" inspection after the fact). I made an appointment, showed up, waited an hour. At this point I had to leave to pick up my kid from daycare and asked them how much longer it could be. (It's a brand new car after all- there shouldn't be much to inspect). They said they couldn't get to it, that I'd have to come back, and tossed my key back to me without offering to make another appointment. I foolishly went back and gave them another chance.. The next issue was when I was in for a regular oil change. They told me that all my brakes needed replacing- all 4 rotors and pads. I thought this was odd since I had swapped my winter wheels and tires a few weeks prior and the brakes looked fine. They wanted $1800 for the job, which is absurd. They had also appraised my car without my consent and left a purchase offer along with a sales pitch to upgrade to a newer car. I felt violated that someone had gone through my car without me knowing about it. When I got home I looked and found that the brakes were indeed fine. A few weeks later I took it to a local mechanic for an inspection and he agreed that they were fine. At this point I decided I was done with them. Unfortunately, my air conditioning failed with 35,000 miles and since the car was under warranty, I had to take it to the dealer for service. They gave me a loaner car, which was nice. I picked up the car, verified that the air conditioning was working, and went home. When I got home, I noticed that pieces of trim were sticking out from under the hood. They had put the trim back together without using all the clips. They either broke them and neglected to replace them, or forgot them all together. Either way, not very confidence inspiring. I sent them an email asking for resolution and the service manager called back nearly a week later. He made an appointment for today. He told me that I could just drive in at 1:00PM, and that he himself would install the clips and that I wouldn't have to wait. I took time out of my day and when I showed up they were closed. I'm not sure why they'd tell me to come in on a day they were closed. Don't waste your time with Upper Valley Honda. They run off their honest and decent sales people, they lie about parts and repairs needed, and when they do a repair, they do a sloppy job and forget to put the car back together. While Honda makes a good vehicle, make sure you have access to a dealer other than Upper Valley Honda if you need service. I took mine there for warranty service. Jill French, advisor, said the regional manager would need to be contacted. She committed to getting back to me in two business days. She didn't. I called her back on the third day and she said she would call him and be back to me that day. Two days later, she hadn't called me back. I called her again, going directly to voice mail. I left a message. No response. Two days later I called and again, directly to voice mail. I left yet another messsge. She didn't call back. All subsequent calls to her went directly to voice mail, clearly I'd been blocked so I couldn't reach her. I had to escalate the issue to Honda Customer Service to get a response. Ignoring a customer, I bought the car there, was the worst example of service that can occur. read more

If I could give no stars I would hands down over and over for the experience I had at Upper Valley Honda. Let me tell you about my story, I filled out an online application for a vehicle that I wanted to get into, Ben Mattice reached out to me I told him how much I could put down, what our trade in was, and we waited. A full day went by with being told we are working on it. Next day came was still told it was being worked on, to be told late morning that they didn't have my application anymore after being told multiple times they were working on it and Finance was working on it, how can they be working on it without the most important document when I have proof that I filled it out and they received it. Filled out application a second time and told Ben how much I could put down and to be told later on in the afternoon great news we got approved following a text saying $8,900 down which was triple the amount I could put down. They offered us $8,000 less then what our truck was worth, but they never wanted to see it or anything, didn't even ask about it, cause in the beginning we just wanted quick numbers. They made us feel like we didn't matter, Ben texted saying we have other customers we have to help also and would never call or answer my phone calls always a text, talk about not personable. So after being told we had to put $8,900 down and us thinking about it still, we got a text message the next day saying As I never heard back form you, I assume you are not interested. That said, we sold the truck yesterday. With no phone call asking us what we want to do. This is very poor customer service and makes us as customers feel that our financial situation wasn't good enough for them to even help us. I highly recommend not getting your next vehicle here unless you wanna feel like you don't matter. read more

Under new ownership since December 2016, this dealership did a fabulous job for me all around. I went in for a 2017 Civic that they had on their lot, and although it had just been sold, they tracked down another one exactly like it from another dealer, brought it back at no additional charge, and gave me a better deal than I would have received at any other dealership. My salesman, Alton, was super nice and very respectful of my time and intelligence. They gave me a great deal on my trade. Their financing program was unbeatable and their finance manager was equally professional. All in all, I got the best deal on the car I wanted, actually enjoyed the purchasing experience. My only suggestion is to take care of registering your car yourself - especially if you live in VT. read more

Sales: * (one star) I went in to buy a specific vehicle; they started with a price significantly higher than other dealers in NH (advertised prices on websites, not secret prices). The average prices reported on Edmunds and Cars.com were also much lower. I told them so, asked for them to match pricing everywhere else in NH. I wasn't trying to wheel and deal, I just wanted the going price. Salesman went away for 10 minutes to "talk to the manager", came back and wrote down the exact same inflated price, like they were daring me to say no. I don't know what else they expected me to do; I walked away. The next day I bought the car for $3000 less than the Garrish price, at a dealer an hour away. I resent Garrish wasting my time like that. I certainly know better now; I won't approach them to purchase a car again. ------------------------ Service: ** (two stars) Their prices on oil changes and tire services are average compared Honda dealers I've dealt with before. They are a little slow, but they have an OK lounge, free coffee and free WiFi. I've had middling success with their mechanic's expertise; they didn't install appropriate hub-centric spacers with after-market rims, and told me that they weren't necessary (they are). Be wary of less common services - they can try to stick it to you. One of my Hondas was due for a transmission drain and fill - 15 minutes, a $2 crush washer and $25 in ATF fluid to do it yourself in your driveway; it's far simpler than an oil change and lube. Garrish wanted $175 for this service. I checked around; other dealers in NH charge $89 - the price I paid at a Honda dealer in another state a couple years ago. This is not uncommon behavior, though; in my experience most (all...) dealers do this kind of thing. At other auto dealers it's been tire services that've been overpriced, one place wanted $100 for an oil change, another wanted $150 for a "safety check" that was basically a look-see around the vehicle to see what else they could up-sell. Dealers will charge whatever their customers put up with; you just need to be an aware consumer with these guys, ask questions and be willing to look it up yourself. read more

Unable to even talk to someone and message not returned.I bought a 2016 HRV from Gerish in December 2017. The first part of October 2018 I had a probem with my car and wanted to talk to someone before I brought it in to be looked at. First I called and left a message to call me, as the message on the machine aske me too. I have yet received a call back. Next I found another number and got to talk to a person who transferred me to the service department. Once at the service department I was put on hold for 5 minutes then an automated voice said "try again later" and hung up on me! I did this another time, like a fool, with the same results. But you can have a free car wash. BFD. Answer your calls!! I will not be bringing my car there for any reason. read more

I recently purchased a new truck from here and the day of pick up after waiting an hour they had a mixup with the VIN number and could not finalize paperwork, they agreed to take some money off and deliver the vehicle the following business day so I was not too upset. After delivery I realized we never received the registration. I called and was repeatedly told it was dropped off and they did a plate transfer as we requested. After a week we still had no update and our insurance company stated the dealership added the vehicle as new. I contacted the dealership again and did not receive a call or email back but rather a person showed up at my house without notice to drop off the temporary plate and registration. It has also been 10 days and we have yet to be refunded our deposit they required us to make to hold the vehicle. This company has a lot to learn about communication and should do as requested by the customer. We now have an additional vehicle registered and insured that we have to handle the cancellation of. They also recommend Sentinal coating and we did not notice a difference with this $1000 cost add on, the vehicle does not clean any easier than they said it would. I recommend going elsewhere no matter how good the deal is. read more
