UPS is the single worst delivery service I know of. If the shipment isn't late it's damaged. In this case both occurred. According to their tracking, my package arrived at their Middleburg Hts location on June 6 at 3:18pm. It was scheduled for delivery on July1, didn't arrive. Their tracking said it was rescheduled for July2, didn't arrive. Tracking then said rescheduled for July 3. I checked tracking one more time to see if anything has changed again. Sure enough it said it was rescheduled for July 6. Within an hour after the reschedule email stating July 6 the package arrived damaged on July 3. Does anyone know what they're doing at UPS? I quit using UPS for deliveries many years ago because of these types of problems. Unfortunately Walmart still uses them. Lazy was home and they left the door tag on the outside of the building .Went to the access point listed on the tag it was a Staples by me .They had no idea where it was .There is a UPS store right by me but as far as I can tell they wound up taking it to one as far away as possible which was closed on Saturday and Sunday .I will have to go there now after work which is a gianormous hassle and hope it is there .Fed Ex is just as bad . read more

UPS is horrible now and run only by offshore call centers who can't speak clear English. You can't even call a UPS store direct, all calls go to the Philippines where the average IQ is below 50 and their language skills are nonexistent. This particular office in Middleburg Heights, OH is known for the employees being meth heads and stealing the packages so avoid this one at all costs. For the second time in a row, a package was delivered to the wrong door at our house. This wouldn't be such an issue, except a) both of the residents of the house have mobility issues and walking around the outside of the house to get to that door (it doesn't open) is a hassle and b) THERE IS A SIGN THAT SAYS NOT TO LEAVE PACKAGES THERE. The packages were placed beneath the sign saying not to put packages there. Are the UPS delivery folks illiterate? Lazy? Or apathetic? You be the judge! read more

Cannot pick up packages since customer service center is permanently closed in Ohio. Now I know why I use FedEx all the time, service center always open and you are able to reroute packages with ease to pick up at your convenience instantly of wasting your whole day waiting for your delivery. Your customer service is terrible and the people that answer the telephones aren't even in our own country, they are in the Philippines. Which means they can't do a thing about your problem. Was expecting a heater in this cold , cold weather ,that was due to come tonight, However, they were in my neighborhood, but drove away to Cleveland and said that they were in my neighborhood when they weren't. Someone should investigate UPS operations in the Middleburg Heights, OH area. There's a lot of flat out fraud and theft in this area. Packages go missing or disappear and tons of packages get 'stuck' here mysteriously and the folks working here know it and are afraid to say anything. Terrible service. They should have never approved the contract for the workers increase in pay and benefits. They deliver to my location everyday between 12-1:30, and today, they haven't delivered as of 3:15. When you call customer service, they read off a sheet and apologize for the inconvenience over and over and that is their solution. they won't even tell you where the delivery truck is and their website is terrible for not updating or providing the information they say you can have with my ups choice account. I have somewhere to be for a medical reason and need the package for the medical appointment. Their answer again is, I am sorry for the inconvenience. No solution to the problem. That is why I prefer FedEx and glad the companies I work for and family have moved their business recently to FedEx. I hope others due that as well and will tell others to make that move. Terrible service from this facility. I was given a tracking number when I originally checked the status on my package I was told it was on the truck that Thursday morning the 25th of May. I didn't receive it on the 26th or 27th. The terminal was closed on Sunday the 28th and the holiday fell on Monday the 29th. So I was told it would be at my residence on Tuesday the 30th of May. It funny I live 20 minutes from the facility and it takes 6 days to receive my package. read more

This is the UPS depot for the west/south of Cleveland. It's where you go when people send you booze in the mail so it requires a 21+ signature. I'm never home during the day so for stuff like this, I end up here to pick up. If you live near this place, I'd recommend using this customer center instead of going to the UPS store - you'll get the straight story from the people here because they are just closer to the actual logistics of how UPS works than at the UPS stores and are just more knowledgeable in my experience. You can skip the delivery attempts to your house all together by entering your tracking number online and just having it held at this shipping center for you to pick up if you'd like. The customer center here is nice and big. Plenty of room and counter space to pack up your stuff before shipping if you need to - even if it's a really really big box. The people at the counter are always really nice and helpful, there's never too long of a line, and you can park right up close to the building (special 'customer' spots up front). Although it's a decent drive from my house, I always have had good service here and in and out in no time. read more

Do not work here. Very rude staff, awful work conditions, and defective equipment. I was a loader, meaning that I would be working to sort packages into truck beds for delivery preparation. My trainer during my 1st week did not care to properly show me the ropes, and acted like I was just a speed bump in his work day, not to mention that he was verbally abusive at times. The work stations had virtually no air ventilation and are nearly unbearable during hot summer days. Keep in mind that we were expected to keep a load quota of 350 packages/hour while expected to build perfect walls. My words may not do this stat justice, but trust me, it's utter hell, especially in the heat. When I attempted to ask for assistance with equipment from managers or coworkers, I was met with condescending attitudes almost every time. I should've know something was up when everyone was extremely shocked that I came back for a 2nd week, as if this were some sort of wilderness survival challenge. Next, I would specifically like to call out the woman who hired me (Anabella) for a lack of solid information about the job description and our pay. I think the employees should be able to have a clear answer about exactly how much money is being taken out of their check each week for union fees, which was one of the issues that Anabella failed to answer. We were also never told what our package quota was supposed to be, we just had to find out the hard way. I would also like to call out the general manager, I do not know his name, but apparently he thinks that me saying "okay, i'll try harder" is giving him attitude, and according to him was a plausible reason to fire me, despite me not being quite up to Parr with my numbers. I came into work 15 minutes before every shift, greeted everyone, and busted my ass trying to meet quota, which by the way improved every day of my week and a half career, but apparently that was not good enough for them. I never gave attitude or complained, I shut my mouth and did my job. The employees are unfriendly and miserable, the upper management are manipulative. It is extremely obvious that none of the lower level employees enjoyed their job at all. I worked a job almost identical to this at an Amazon warehouse for 3 months, and was treated infinitely better than this abomination of a workplace. Despite the myths of Amazon treating workers poorly, we were treated like royalty compared to the dumpster fire that is the UPS customer center in Englewood. If you are considering working here, don't. Save your breath and mental health for a job that won't make you completely miserable If you are a manager/supervisor reading this, be better. Hire better trainers, set more clear goals and expectations instead of berating employees for asking questions for answers that YOU were supposed to provide for us. I missed the delivery for my son's medication yesterday and I ended up speaking with a gentleman named Darnelle from UPS customer service. He was absolutely awesome. I expressed my concerns about needing my son's medication as soon as possible for an appointment with his doctor and Darnelle went above and beyond to make sure I got it. He was professional, courteous and fast and I was just blown away at how helpful he was. I feel like customer service as a whole is lacking right now because of COVID19 but Darnelle does not disappoint his customers. What a great person and exceptional employee. Shipping and picking up packages here for years. Counter staff is always friendly, fast and very helpful. They have lots of experience and give great advice on packaging for the most secure delivery and best price. Best value to go here because it is the actual hub where the trucks are dispatched from. Park up close and walk right in. They have flat carts or wheelers if you need one. Late hours too! read more

I took the day off to sign for an important package. After seeing the UPS truck stop briefly two doors down and then leave again I received an email saying my package wouldn't be delivered today. It took quite some time to find a phone number for UPS but, after a 14 minute hold I spoke to an agent. I asked to pick the package up at the local UPS hub where it was checked in last night for local delivery, but was told the local hub would call me in an hour to tell me what time I could pick the package up. I asked if I could just go there directly to get it -- after all, it was listed as leaving the area hub at 9:08 am and it's now 3 pm. The agent said the hub had to "prepare the package." I call bullcrap. Is the driver running behind and opted not to stop? Did they forget to put the package on the truck? Heaven forbid, is the package missing? I think one star is generous. read more

A good review for this UPS?? That's not going to happen. Our past UPS driver already warned us that most packages get dropped over a 15 foot conveyor. Judging from all the damage reports we've had to file that appears to be a correct statement. I've had a microphone in a flight case in bubblewrap in cardboard delivered with the capsule completely damaged. Guitar from NYC delivered in crushed box - switch on face of guitar was smashed into the guitar ... by the way the guitar was in a hard case with foam all around the case. UPS refused to honor the claim saying it was not packed right! Two inches of foam around a hard guitar case is not adequate? Crooks. I was in a claim line and everyone there complained that UPS just declines their claims. We had a good driver ... appears that he has since retired. Another UPS driver stops by the curve and drops a box containing a very delicate piece of test equipment 12 feet to the concrete curve. Says its OK even though the box is now obviously damaged. The test equipment did NOT survive .... the tube inside was cracked and the face of the device was literally bulging out from the impact. Another day I intercepted the driver on the way to the front door and told him that the package contained delicate equipment. What does the rocket scientist do? He takes the whole package and starts shaking it and thumping it. Oh yeah he says .... this is packed real well. Today I waited all day for a signature required package. The garage door was open and my car was in the driveway. I was home. Driver left a note on the front door that I was unavailable. Actually this appears to be one trick to get them home early ... he did not ring the bell or knock on the door or had I been outside .... attempted to walk around to the back. No his highness apparently had blinders on and chose that day not to ring the doorbell. Many of my suppliers will no longer ship UPS due to horrid customer service. The UPS guy that retired had nothing but complaints when UPS first hired those fresh college grads to take over management and mismanage the operations. As far as going to UPS customer service .... DON'T ... you are better off going to the UPS store. I mean why would I want to drive over a half hour to Middleburg Hts in that miserable traffic on Engle Road? read more

Two packages this week have not arrived to my apartment address due to "company or receiver name/address incorrect." Five phone calls later an employee answered my "what is going on" question with "the driver was unable to find the address..." UNABLE TO FIND THE ADDRESS?!? That is their JOB to find the address. My GPS can find it, every other shipping company can find it. So what is the issue here??? Through the whole process only one employee was apologetic and offered solutions out of the 5 or 6 who I spoke to. I give up and decide I will pick up all my packages from now on. Using this customer center is so easy for me with most of my important shipments. It is conveniently close to my work in Berea so most of the time I use the app to divert packages here instead of having them delivered to my house. Love that when any shipment is addressed to my house it automatically pops up in the app and notifies me the day before. As far as the facility itself goes, the employees have always been friendly and the customer counter has tons of space to pack or open anything you could possibly want to ship plus they sell materials in case you forgot something or are in a hurry. They have tons of reserved customer parking right up front, and have hand carts for you to use in case you have multiple or heavy packages. So much more convenient than the UPS store. The dispatch center at Middleburg heights is very unprofessional. They left no info-notice at door when they did the delivery attempt so I was completely unaware of the shipping status. Now the package is being sent back to the sender and UPS told me I'll have to pay for the shipping again even though it's UPS's fault. read more

I was supposed to have a package delivered at my door step on Friday 11-30-18 at 307 pm. No package - no footprints on the step -- no dogs barking at any sound. Called UPS and visited website. After getting the run around, they finally sent the driver out who had not a clue as to what he was doing OR what he had done. Via GPS tracking it was determines that the package had been delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS. I was told they may be able to get it to me that night but probably not until Saturday. It is now Tuesday morning and I am now on hold with customer service (for about 10 minutes already) to try and find out if anybody at this location has any idea where my package is !!! read more

The staff at this facility have always treated me with respect, good humor, helpfulness, and fairness. This is also a great place to have wine shipped from elsewhere. There is no worrying about being at home for the truck to arrive. Just drive over and pick it up after supplying the mandatory adult signature.
