Today I found a wonderful Fourth of July decoration that's vintage and I don't think I'd ever find something like that anywhere else. What a fun time..walking on the beach and shopping in these vintage upscale shops..win win...we had beautiful perfect weather...so many unique items..we went in and out of several shops and plan to return my next trip next month! The nice gentleman was most helpful..as he took items off the shelf for us to look at more closely..I plan on traveling with an extra bag next time. read more

It seemed everything was priced $6.99 or$10.99 and the quality of the items was not worth it. The home goods selection was sad looking. Nothing much there either. I can't say how service was bc I left without buying anything. It might've been a bad day to go but there was plenty of clothes. Police activity right outside arresting some elderly people not sure why. I won't return. read more

Unless you're coming for their sales, where they mark certain tag colors off 50-75 percent or coming to look at their dollar racks, the clothes is way overpriced. Like an out of style, worn blazer for twenty bucks??? You might as well go to Ross or Marshalls, where you'd get a new one for that price. read more

I just went for the first time and I'm soooooo excited how close this is to my house!! I loved everything about my experience here. The staff were friendly and attentive, I even heard the lovely volunteer-woman explain how sales tax works to a little boy and count his change back... come here for goods, leave here with knowledge!! She was so sweet and patient with him. The clothes were all in fantastic condition, no crappy, stained, torn, weathered junk here, and the prices were reasonable. I got 4 dresses for $45!! One of which was designer, and one was 75% off, I walked away very happy. The store is immaculately clean and organized, unlike most thrift stores. I'm a die hard thrifter, and I've never seen a store like this! Great selection of home goods, clothing, trinkets, etc. I am really looking forward to returning soon!! read more

I've been wanting to come to this place, and was actually in the area so I thought I'd stop by. I was very impressed on how organized it was and the staff were for friendly and pleasant. They are having a 50% off sale until April 7th 2022 on all their clothing. We found some great bargains. Even without the sales pricing was good and selection was great. Lots of fun home decor items, vintage pieces, a few antiques, great jewelry too. VERY well organized. Friendly and welcoming staff that were very helpful. Love the new location. This is normally a favorite thrift spot and I always find a little something, at least. I will say that sometimes the pricing can be inconsistent and a little high but its always hit or miss so it must be whoever is pricing at that moment or whatever. Honestly every time we go everyone has always been really pleasant and their stuff is always clean and displayed nicely. Also they sort by size and thats always a plus when a thrift store does that. This long time thrifters paradise supports a local food pantry, South County Outreach of Irvine. Recently expanded, you can find upscale clothing on hangars, business and party attire, totes and purses and awesome shoes! Kids toys and books are complete and clean and plenty. Seasonal items appear at the right times and the store offers special discounts weekly. The staff are well trained and very pleasant. If you'd like to donate goods, you can drop off in back during weekday hours. I feel great about donating my used goods to support those in need of food and housing, rental and utility assistance. Upscale Resale/South County Outreach are shady and ripped me off on the fair market value of the items I donated. Upscale resale should be called "uppity people who think they're Macy's" After my awful donation experience, I would not recommend donating your items to this store. I donated about a carload worth of items. Prior to dropping off the stuff I took an inventory of what I donated on my laptop to attach to my tax receipt. Mind you it was a carload of stuff so I wasn't going to remember the hundreds of items I donated. When I get there, the lady at the back completely ignored me. Then, she refused to give me a tax receipt. I had to literally argue with her to get one. When I fill out the receipt I put on the document "see attached" since I was going to add my inventory list at home. She then scratches that out and tells me to list everything I donated. Every other charity in the area gives you the receipt and leaves it to the donor to determine the fair value of goods. Not here. They ripped me off and now instead of the hundreds I was going to claim they messed up my receipt and I won't be able to claim it. Completely shady accounting on their end. Don't donate here because they will give you an attitude and rip you off on the fair market value of your donation. Goodwill and Salvation Army are not far from here. Go there instead. read more

I visit this store often and normally like it. Aside from sometimes finding a nice item discounted, I believe in recycling and reducing our footprint. But I also believe in customer service, no matter what kind of a business you are. Last week I purchased a shirt, not on sale, and washed it to wear it a week later. I had already taken the tag off and threw the tag and receipt away. It fell apart in the wash. I brought it back to the store and asked for credit on another clothing item since I didn't wear it once and they refused, as they indicate no exchanges or returns. But you would think that they would want to take care of a regular customer, especially when the item they sold was crap. I could have paid the same or less on the sale rack at Macy's and had a quality item. read more

I come to this store often because they have nice items, they are very clean, and most of the time, the staff (mostly volunteers) are very friendly. They carry more than just clothing. The disadvantage is that they are a little pricier than most resale shops, even for the nicer things. I usually only buy things that are on sale. As items have been there a while, they give discounts as new inventory comes in. read more

Yes I am a bit partial because I am a volunteer, however, being a thrift store junkie who visits thrift stores even when I travel, I realize what a special store Upscale is. It has more of a boutique vibe than a typical thrift store. Various clothing is always on sale along with weekly department sales. We are tucked away in an industrial complex behind Tuesday Morning but worth finding!! Truth be told, Upscale is the best hidden secret around so come and seek us out.....you'll be glad you did! read more

The only thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't find this shop sooner. All of their merchandise is very good quality, no sorting through junk. It's nicely displayed, and there was a big variety of items. Lamps were 50% off today so I bought two matching vintage table lamps and a similar vintage floor lamp that I loved for an insanely low price. I am thrilled! I'm going to donate the lamps I'm replacing back to the store. The personnel (all unpaid volunteers) were very nice to me and the other customers. I can't wait to go back! read more

I visited my first time today and oh my goodness. I love this place. Where do I begin. I felt like I was in an upscale boutique in NYC. The selection which was laid out beautifully is amazing! I was warmly greeted upon my entrance and was given a brief but concise explanation of the store. Within minutes I found unique items ranging from the cutest hat to a belt a shirt pendant and more. The vintage jewelry cases were filled with gorgeous trinkets.lPerfume bottles, gloves, tapestry purses All in mint condition and priced so reasonably I was amazed I didn't get a chance to shop the glassware etc because they were closing but I plan on going back real soon. The best thing about Upscale Resale is I know my money was going for such a great cause. I researched UR when I got home and was so pleased to learn they truly are non profit.
