I searched several local companies including New Wave Gutters. I contacted approximately ten, some via phone, some via email, some via Facebook messenger and some via their contact form on their website. I contacted New Wave August 2nd 2021 by that last method. I never heard anything. I was answered by I.P. Home Improvements the same day I sent the note. I was contacted by a few others but I.P. Home Improvements had a decent price and availability. They were able to come out four days after initial contact. Again, never heard from New Wave. Then August 23rd at 8:46 PM mind you, after business hours and definitely after any time I am taking calls from numbers I don't recognize, I missed a call and received a voice message. That message went" "Hello, this is Scott from New Wave Gutters letting you know we're coming over tomorrow to do the gutter cleaning at (our address)..." After receiving this message I immediately called the number and was sent to voice mail. I left a message saying thanks but no thanks we already had the gutters done. I then figured we were done with it. Next morning I had a Dental appointment and while I was sitting in the waiting room my wife texted and said people were there setting up to clean the gutters. Oh this gets better too. The gutters were clean, immaculate! Yet, they set up, cleaned the already clean gutters, left a bill on my door and departed. My wife said they did ring the doorbell but like many of us these days she's working from home and was in a meeting she could not leave from. I called the number again and got voice mail, this, despite it being 11:00 AM and the message said their hours were earlier than that. I left another message questioning their ethics and scheduling procedures. I also sent a note via their website contact information saying someone was at our house right then, and that we were not paying for redundant services. Now, granted, Amy who ended up replying said she would take care of this...but it goes on. I replied later saying if I indeed scheduled this, which I had no record of, I would pay for the service. She then sent me the record of the web request dated August 2nd. To which I replied "Ahh... yes, I sent many such requests and your company never replied until the day before at a time a could not cancel" because apparently Amy doesn't get in until Noon. I then said I felt better about it being voided but would definitely keep them in mind for services later when needed. She then sent me a note this morning that simply reads: "I am glad that I figured out the miscommunication, but I think you won't be happy with our company, so you should stay with the company that provides the service that fits you. Amy" ... "but I think you won't be happy with our company, so you should stay with the company that provides the service that fits you". Is that a company that doesn't provide quotes prior to service? Is that a company that schedules service without authorization from the client? Yes Amy, you're right... I won't be using New Wave Gutters any time soon or ever.

This is what the company, Superior Sealers, did to my driveway and sidewalk. They backed onto my…read moreprivate driveway and over the brand new sidewalk with their leaking asphalt sealant truck. I spoke with the owner, Mike, and he sent the truck driver, Jamison, over to my house to look at what they did. Jamison asked me if I had a wire brush so that he could try to remove their asphalt sealant from my sidewalk. I didn't, so he left. When I spoke with Mike a few days later, he said that he was "waiting to hear from the city". Since the city owns the sidewalk, only the city could force them to remove the asphalt sealant. The city said that since there's no structural damage to the sidewalk, they would not force Superior Sealers to remove their asphalt sealant mess. Neither Mike, nor Jamison never apologized. Not for driving on my private driveway not for leaving dark tire tracks on my driveway and not for spewing their asphalt sealant on my driveway and brand new sidewalk. After almost 3 weeks (19 days) they have made no attempt to clean up their mess.
