Upswell provides an amazing experience through and through. Going to an advanced recovery-focused studio can be intimidating, but the staff and members are incredibly disarming and welcoming. Very nice and I never felt like I should be embarrassed for being a newbie or not knowing how to use certain equipment. The facilities are very clean and quality. Shoutout to Lexi for teaching the Power+Release class. It's similar to yoga but adds roller to lose up the hips because it don't lie. Michaela was also friendly and showed us all the different stations at this relaxing studio. Glow, plunge, Revive, and Melt. Revive was my favorite section with compress sleeves to relax your arms or legs. Great way to promote blood flow and decrease anxiety. Monthly options and day pass $39 are available. They have a tea and coffee bar as well as a fridge fully stocked with non-alcoholic beverages. Your first visit is free! Come and experience it for yourself. They're running a Founding Membership for $99/month (3 month commitment) which is such a steal. Note: the exterior says Compass Fitness. My partner and I feel incredibly lucky to have found Upswell. We came across the studio when looking for ways to improve our mental and physical health outside of visiting the standard overcrowded gym or spa. The studio hosts a range of yoga, cardio, compression equipment, and sauna/cold plunge options. They also offer an upper floor where you can work remotely at standing/sitting desks, and this really brought the studio full circle for our lifestyle. Our standard circuit is to work in the office for the first half of the day, and then spend our afternoons here. We like to book an infrared sauna for 45 mins, follow with a 15 min cold plunge (~42 degrees), and catch up on emails before/after upstairs in the co-working space. What is really impressive, is how clean the studio always is, how kind the staff is in getting to know us as people, and how peaceful the environment feels. The general manager Sean also makes us feel welcome and makes an effort to ask about our day(s) and see if we need anything. Overall, this studio has become a great asset to our mental and physical health. I highly recommend checking them out, and bringing your friends. The most incredible oasis of wellness in Denver. They offer both Infrared and Traditional Sauna, Cold Plunges, Compression Therapy, PEMF Therapy, Movement Classes, Cardio equipment, work spaces, and the most incredible community. Their layout is set up for "social wellness", encouraging you to connect with others and share in your recovery together. If you'd prefer to recover solo, there are also plenty of options for that! I love that the infrared saunas are personal cabins for alone time or with one other person, and the traditional saunas are multi-person if you'd like to have the opportunity to sauna with more than one other person, or meet someone new. Since adopting Upswell's modalities into my recovery schedule, my body feels better than it ever has! I'm a runner, and I'm able to recover faster, run longer and feel better everyday. We spent a centering morning at Upswell Studio in Denver and got our minds & bodies right. We started with a Power + Release class which was a vinyasa-inspired yoga flow combined with myofascial foam rolling. Upswell provided the yoga mats & rollers. The class was 50 minutes long. Our instructor, Lexy Rose was knowledgeable & calming. She led us through a series of targeted movements on the foam rollers followed by sweeping yoga movements and breath cues that increased our range of motion. Following class, it was time for a cold Plunge session in the RENU Therapy Cold Stoic 2.0. This was my first time doing a cold plunge and I loved it; it hurt so good I ended up doing it twice. Upswell provided robes & towels for use. My first plunge was 1 minute, then I got out, put my robe on and let my body recover for about 10 minutes. Then I went in a second time for 1 minute. Following my second plunge, I was really feeling alert (I felt that strong energy increase & stress relief for hours following my session). The pros of doing a cold plunge include decreased inflammation, increased energy, the reset of sleep cycles, and the regulation of the nervous system. We finished with a Glow session in infrared sauna pods. There is a room with two pods so you can go with your friend or significant other. I turned on an audiobook, got comfortable in my pod, closed my eyes, and fully relaxed into the warmth. The infrared sauna pods encased us in heat & chromotherapy lighting that produced an effortless & productive sweat for 45 minutes. The Glow session detoxified, relieved achy joints, increased mobility, stimulated immune response, and promoted the release of dopamine & serotonin. read more

Next, I decided to try out the Normatec full-body compression for my legs and arms and that was a game changer! Then I had time before our yoga class to use the infrared sauna. When the instructor/Co-founder of Upswell Lexy left, I was on the fence about the studio cause Lexy did not have a chance to say bye and it felt very weird and no one explained anything, but the studio manager Presley was the one ensure all the members were receiving the quality of our experiences, and absolutely loved Presley, she was definitely the face of Upswell. But recently, same thing happened to her, we only received an email explaining she was taking a break and didn't have a chance to say bye to her. After that, Upswell just changed, the service is not as good as before, the staff don't seem care about you as much as the old staff did. (The new manager Sean is definitely trying and doing good, but you can tell Upswell is probably overused him, like what they did to Presley) Sadly this studio is no longer my favorite, they changed everything, but didn't feel better about being there as a founding member. I'll forever miss my $99 membership, but rather go somewhere I enjoy going. read more

The studio in Aurora is stunning and impeccably clean, the infrared sauna was amazing to try after! The only bad thing I can say about Upswell is that it's not closer to my house. If you work out or move your body at all, you absolutely need to stop in here. They have everything you could possibly need for recovery and wellness from restorative movement classes like yoga and foam rolling, cold water immersion or cold plunge, infrared saunas and sauna pods, and muscle recovery sessions using Normatec full-body compression suits. They also have Peloton equipment available to use which is a great plus. A perfect day at Upswell for me starts with a yoga and foam rolling class followed by some recovery time with a Normatec suit, a quick cold plunge, and then relaxing in one of their sauna pods. The best thing about this perfect day is that they offer a very affordable $39 all-day pass where you can have this exact day and then some! They have membership options as well as an all-week pass available too, but you can't beat that day pass option if you just want to give them a try. If you're in need of some serious recovery, you need to find your way over to Upswell. Five stars all the way around. read more

I've been to many gyms and spas across the city and this place was a completely new experience! My husband and I dropped the kids off at daycare at did a "day date" here, and spent about 4 hours enjoying all the amenities (day passes are $39 per person for an all access pass). We started our day with a Power + Release yoga flow class that is a combo vinyasa and foam rolling/muscle therapy class. Next we did muscle recovery massage therapy, using compression devices on our legs and arms to reduce soreness and maximize blood flow. We followed that up with a polar plunge in a freezing bath (don't worry, there is a sauna right outside the bath to warm up after your plunge!) We finished our day with the private infrared sauna cabin for two, where we warmed up after the plunge. Overall we left relaxed and feeling rested! I loved how towels, robes, yoga mats, pressure point balls, etc were all available so all we had to bring was ourselves and our swim suits.
