State health mandate from the governor requires it's a business operate with all staff and all visitors wearing facemasks at all times while inside the establishment On two separate occasions observed from outside the store the staff had their masks down around their chin when they saw a customer come in the store they would take their hands raised a mask temporarily up to their face. Touching the hand to the mask and moving it up contaminates both the mask and the hand weather is wearing gloves are not staffed and would interact with the customer touch the food products and packages with now contaminated hands and wearing A contaminated mask. These guys take a big L tonight..ordered a pizza delivered on a Thursday night just 1.6 miles away...promised it will be there in 55 minutes. After 1 hour 45 minutes I call to confirm the food is indeed coming, and can't get a straight answer on the phone. Shortly afterwards the delivery driver calls, failing to find the place (I gave explicit instructions when I ordered). Finally get the pizza and it's cold. The staff are punctual and respectful. The pizza is ridiculously tasty and has that cheese that everyone craves. The baklava is homemade, and they always ask me if I would like some. Our family will eat there a few times throughout the week. Our favorites are the pepperoni pizza, chicken fingers and salad with ham and homemade Italian dressing. The salads are nice and big, and always have crisp lettuce. They take pride in serving the community, and have even delivered to me at off hours on occasion to make the customer happy. Even when I hear their phones are ringing and they are very busy, they always take the time to process my credit card and get the details right. The only criticism I can think of providing considering my orders over the past 5 years, it that sometimes I get a sub toasted when I wanted it cold, but I think that only happened once or twice over the years, which as humans is completely understandable. Did I mention the baklava dessert? No, not everything on the menu may be the healthiest choice, but whether it be healthy or hearty you want, there is something for you here. When I walk in there are little children screaming and running around. I assume they were one of the employees children as there were was no one around to watch them. The place is complete chaos. Food is generally good. Occasionally they mess up the order but most food is generally good as mentioned. My biggest grip is the service is all over the place. Sometimes it's ready in 15 minutes others close to an hour but they still state 15-20 minutes. If my food isn't going to be ready for an hour that's fine but I don't want to hear 20 minutes. If I could give zero stars I would. I Just picked up dinner for myself and my mom. I wanted a classic veggie sub which consists of sautéed mushrooms, onions, peppers and melted American/provolone cheese on a soft roll. I said I did not want the sub grilled, but wanted all the veggies sautéed. I get home only to find out the sub is the ONLY part grilled, and the onions, peppers and mushrooms are raw. Anyways, I drove back to ask if they could re-make it for me correctly. The woman who took my order adamantly fought me saying I said "no grill", I pointed out I said no grill to the sub and that I wanted to have the veggies sautéed and she proceeded to keep telling me I said no grill (even though they did grill it which makes zero sense). Eventually, I walked out without my original sub because it was gross, no re-make as they were so rude and I didn't want to wait around as they spoke to me in a condescending manner, and no refund. Anyways, i give this place Zero for quality of food, and a big zero for customer service. I've worked in restaurants all my life, and the golden rule is the customer is always right. Maybe they should try applying that to their practice. Total nightmare and very dissatisfied! Not only is the food just ok but the delivery guy drove over and destroyed half my garden. This was during daylight hours mind you. So I called the shop and spoke to the owner who said he would take care of it. He send the driver, unannounced, back to my house at 9:30 right after I put my infant to bed. My dogs went crazy, which woke the baby, causing general havoc in my house. My husband went out to meet the driver and had no idea what he said since the driver spoke little English. I was unhappy with the way this was handled so I called the store a few days later and to add insult to injury the owner was a total jerk and told me it wasn't his problem.
