Nice, low key getaway near Fullerton College. You are greeted immediately upon walking up to the counter with a cheery and helpful demeanor. Steady traffic of locals coming in and out but still a chill vibe with college students and local seniors. Dining room is roomy and nicely shaded from the soaring hot sun in the summer. The Citrus Crunch Salad is delicious and well balanced with a nice blend of several kids of chopped lettuce greens, sweet orange sections, almonds and fried wonton bits. The citrus vinaigrette dressing is delicious and light. Will definitely be back to try the burgers

We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly chap behind the counter. We must have had that look because he asked if it was our first visit and it was. Menu has plenty of options. He suggested the chimichurri burger as it popular. I ordered that and chili fries. Wifey had the classic with cheese. Burgers were phenomenal. The chimichurri burger was out of this world. Place is nice clean with a big screen. Great for an outing with family or friends. Plenty of outdoor seating as well.

Super friendly staff and neat family-friendly place to get a decent burger with spacious seating. This burger spot has something for everyone even arugula salads. They have weekly specials and for a limited time you can get their Pina Colada - a tropical twist with coconut crusted pineapple. You can really customize your burger with gluten free bun and even a pretzel bun option. Pina Colada was loaded with teriyaki sauce. Cremini burger with mushrooms were good. Tip ask for bbq sauce and mustard. They do have a ketchup station. Burrata salad was a good portion with a huge ball of barrrata. Reese's special shake was good, sweet with real Reese's pieces

Such high quality burgers for a reasonable price!!! The chimmichurri was nothing short of amazing -- the perfect cheesy parsley garlicky flavor. Highly recommend that one!! However the bbq burger was a very close second. On top of that, the ONION RINGS the best onion rings I've ever had. The service was amazing and ambiance was more than I could ask for. They had live music happening outside (we came on Fathers Day) and plenty of seating!

Stopped by Uptown Burger recently and we tried three types of burgers: Tri Tip Sandwich, Chimichurri Burger, and the Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich. I wanted to see what each tasted like and I was really excited by a specific one, which was the teriyaki sandwich. We also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken wings which blew my socks off, that was so good and I was shocked with how it stayed crispy with all that sauce! The service was great, there were a lot of customers when we stopped by and everyone looked happy with the food. It was also nice because a game was on that weekend and they turned the TV on so people can watch. There were lots of seating as well! At the end of our meal, I knew I loved the teriyaki sandwich, the wings, and the chimichurri burger. My bf really liked the tri tip sandwich, and it worked out for us because he could have majority of it haha. We definitely took home left overs because it was a lot of food, can't wait to come back!

I was sad to see Peter's Gourmade Burgers go after their short stint at the Fullerton location but was excited to see a different burger spot open up. I've learned to keep my expectations low for new openings with restaurants but this spot caught my eye immediately and I had high hopes for a good new burger spot in the area. Here's what I've tried: **BBQ Burger: I was quite disappointed with this burger overall. There was a really light spread of bbq sauce in the burger that I couldn't taste anything except for the patty. I wish it was more bursting with flavor. (2/5) **Chimichurri Burger: Hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Their housemade chimichurri is absolutely delicious. You can taste every ingredient including their arugula, pepper jack cheese, tomato, and pickled onion. Next time I'm for sure getting the double patty for that extra $4 charge. (5/5) **Farmer's Market Salad: Wanted to try a salad for my first visit after a hot day out in the sun and this simple salad caught my eye. It was very refreshing with all the different veggies but it was missing one thing that I was looking forward to the most, jicama. On top of that, their house made lemon vinaigrette was not good. The mint was overpowering the whole salad too. The fresh ingredients are there but the flavor profile was all over the place. (2/5) **Sweet Potato Fries: Delicious. Restaurants either make their sweet potato fries too salty or too sweet. Uptown makes them just right, no complaints. (5/5) My first visit was on a random weekday evening and the gentleman working was very kind. He was very polite and went straight into a conversation with every single person he interacted with. Since it was my first time, I asked for recommendations and that's when he recommended the BBQ Burger. I knew I should've gone with the Chimichurri but I wanted to try out a few items before writing this review. During my first visit, there were two people already waiting for their order and after I ordered, it took quite a while. My second visit, I put my pickup time for 1PM on a weekday afternoon and my order was ready by 1PM on the dot. Why am I giving them 4 stars instead of the 5? Although I really enjoyed their chimichurri burger and sweet potato fries, the other items were not up to par in my standards. Also, prepare to wait a little bit during dinner time. I'd come during the off hours unless you have time to spare. Anyways, this is a good new burger spot and I'll be peeking in from time to time when I need my burger fix that's not your typical fast food chain.

This place was easy to find in the Ralphs shoppint center. There was lots of parking available & lots of space to sit inside & outside. The place was clean and the workers were friendly. I got the pulled pork sandwich, pineapple express burger & tri tip burger. I didnt like the tri tip much but the pulled pork & pineapple express were fire. The pulled pork sandwich was loaded, didnt skimp out at all. I left happy & full, def recommend.

I've always enjoyed a good patty melt. Since my high school days where they had excellent sourdough and fresh made beef patties, there's something about the beef, grilled onions, melted cheese, and sharp sourdough that hits especially hard. Uptown has a very good patty melt, opting to add a roasted garlic aioli and use white cheddar instead of yellow to distinguish it from the masses. And they are welcome changes as they do nothing but increase the flavor quotient on an otherwise simple burger. The Reese's Shake was great too, even if peanut butter chunks were not as blended as I like them to be. If I can't get them up the fat straw, it's not blended enough. The service was good, if a bit slow. But it wasn't a huge deal as they were kind of busy. But they answered questions well and were very helpful in giving recommendations . They also were very helpful in explaining their weekly promotions. The ambience is good too. There is a ton of room with various two, fours, and three top booths, tables, and high tables. It's the kind of no-frills fast casual burger joint that fills in the gap between a fast food place and a true sit-down restaurant. I also liked that they said the tables are easy to push together for larger parties. All in all, this is a great place for burgers or just get together with some running. It's definitely in the running for lunch or dinner plans when I'm in the area.

Uptown Burger, fries, and chocolate shake, does it get any better?

Uptown Burger Company was an absolute home run! As a fellow small business owner, I decided to support his hustle, so we came to uptown and were blown away! The burgers were fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the chocolate shake was one of the best I've had in a long time. Sorta' took me back to my childhood. As an added bonus, they have gluten-free buns and other great options like salad, salads, also delicious! What really stood out, though, was the owner, Payton, a super polite, friendly young man who came out to one of our soccer games, introduced himself, and invited the entire team and all the families to come by afterward. I really respect that kind of hustle and community support. Great food, great people, and a local business that's earning its reputation the right way. We'll definitely be back!

The food was fine, the burgers were slightly lacking in flavor, I was hoping for a little more like specialty sauces, pickles, better buns, etc. Staff were very friendly, seems like a popular hangout spot for high school and college kids. Was on lunch and wanted a non-chain burger and decided to try Uptown. I never got to try the old Peter's Gourmade so I'm glad I stopped by to this one. Inside it's clean, there's a T.V. and it was playing the latest world cup game happening on 06/18. I ordered the classic burger and the guy at the register let me know I could upgrade to onion rings or sweet potato fries and I went with onion rings. My burger and rings were done pretty quickly. I wasn't waiting too long for my order. I ate it at home and it was delicious! The onion rings were one of the best I've had, not soggy, solid bite, big rings, not greasy. The classic burger hit the spot. Nothing too crazy, just a quality burger, big with a lot of bite and the right ratio of toppings to burger. I definitely would come back to try the Chimichurri burger. I read the reviews after I put in my order and would get that next time with a side of their onion rings. The onion rings did not come with ranch so that's another thing I would ask for if they have it.

The food is homemade and fresh. Super delicious classic burger with choice of cheese, and lots of side choices. And home made ranch. They have GF options as well. Super great location with inside and outside patio seating accross from Hillcrest Park in Ralphs parking lot

I went to Uptown for the first time last week. I decided to try their Classic Burger and fries. The burger and toppings were very fresh and the fries were cooked to perfection; crispy on the outside and pillowy warm perfection on the inside. I got a side of their ranch (housemade) to dip the fries in, too, and it was really good. I can't WAIT to go back to try more of the menu. I've heard the onion rings are phenomenal, as are the shakes; two of my favorite things! I was fortunate enough to me Joe, the owner, when I was there. I work at the courthouse and told him I'd spread the word about this great new option for lunch or after work. A few people already went and several more are looking forward to it! read more

This is my second time eating here. The first time was their soft opening. The staff are very nice and attentive. I have had their Uptown Classic and their BBQ Burger. Both were quite good. Their French fries are crispy, and their onion rings are very good. For only being open a couple of weeks, I would say they are off to a great start. It was my first time here.. the owner was very helpful when explaining the items on the current menu.. he even told me in a few months, would be smoking their meats. The food was outstanding.. my husband ordered the Smoked Red Pepper and I ordered the Chicken & Bacon.. my husband said he could tell how fresh the beef was and my chicken sandwich was very tender . It was so delicious, I went back for the same sandwich..again was not disappointed.. oh I forgot to mention, that I ordered the strawberry malt for my husband and he said it was delicious... Had a chance to go to this new burger spot in Fullerton and it really hit the spot. Its in the Ralph's shopping center off of Harbor. It has a really cool vibe inside with sports, music and the smell of deliciousness throughout the dining room. We ordered a classic burger and a Teriyaki Chicken sandwich - both were amazing. Prices are really good for the quality we got. The shoestring fries were hot and their ranch dressing is definitely house made. The team members are really friendly. We met Payton and he talked with us about how they are really focused on becoming part of the community - love it! So this was the first time here at uptown Burger for me. A large group of coworkers and I who work in the area decided we would all check out the new grub spot. Of course it was our plumbers idea I'll give him props. Place is very modern looking with old school pictures of old town Fullerton, which I love. The Service was nice, we all got our food in a timely manner. I want to say there was at least about 13-15 of us there. I got the Caprese sandwich with onion rings, not the traditional Caprese I was thinking I would get. It had tomatoes, mozzarella, I believe it had arugula, not basil, red onions and pesto the bread was nice and soft. Added onion rings and a soda all came out to 22.99. Now I get it, everywhere you go seems to charge a lot and I feel this was one of those times for this meal. The owner was a wonderful young guy that was super pleasant and very nice. I've said it before, I am more about customer service than price. I like to eat local and put my money in local businesses. Because of how wonderful the staff and the owner was is one of the reasons I will come back to this restaurant. I wish them nothing but the absolute best moving forward with this new venture. I love seeing young people take a chance and do something they dream about, it's something I believe I can support. read more

We went for the first time. The place is clean and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly. And the burgers were delicious. There were 3 in our party. We each tried a different sandwich. The chimichurri burger, the B.L.A.T., and the pesto chicken. All three were delicious. The BLAT had a lot of bacon and avocado on sourdough bread. The chicken pesto was also very good and it was everything I wanted it to be. But I think the chimichurri burger was my favorite of the 3. If you like burgers, I recommend Uptown Burgers in Fullerton. read more

Love this place. I live no where near, but since it was Friday and I abstain from meat I drove the 10 miles to get a veggie burger. I've had many at Islands over the years, but the uptown veggie burger is the best. A lot of it is the variety of things they put on the burgers. So beef, turkey or veggie --all great. I've been to Uptown Burger a few times since they opened! First, the place is bright and clean and looks great! The food is amazing! While the patty melt may be my favorite so far, I've tried the chicken/avocado sandwich, the chimichurri burger, the chicken pesto sandwich, and the original burger. No need to sauce it up with ketchup as it didn't need any. My wife had the patty melt which she said was excellent. It had sourdough bread . To me a traditional patty melt is thin meat with Rye bread . This is a traditional Frisco burger. None the less. Everything was perfectly cooked . High quality beef was juicy and tasty. Fries are shoestring served hot!! Onion rings were crispy and tasty. I hope they make it as this place has the legs to be successful. So if you are looking for a great family burger place this is it. Got the classic added bacon with onion rings ($1.50 extra). They forgot the bacon and gave me 4 onion rings. A normal side is 4-5 onion rings, per the gentleman at the front. They did give me a new burger with bacon but took away an onion ring so in the end I got 3. My friends turkey melt was mediocre with a small piece of turkey and a few fries. The veggie burger was okay. We went to Wing Stop down the way to satisfy our French fries portion. Honestly was not impressed with the burgers and portion of side. Just left Uptown Burger in Fullerton and I'm still thinking about that barbecue burger. They use Angus beef and it was seriously good -- juicy, flavorful, and buttery in the best way. The meat was so tender it was practically falling apart. The bun was fresh, firm enough to hold everything together, and had that nice buttery quality I love. It didn't get soggy even with the sauce and toppings. They put an onion ring right in the burger and it was perfectly crispy and crunchy. The sauce was spot-on too -- not overpowering at all, so you could still taste the other flavors and toppings. Everything just worked together really well. I ordered chili cheese fries on the side. The chili was good and the fries were delicious -- kind of a shoestring style, maybe a little thicker than classic shoestring, but still really solid. I also got the chicken teriyaki sandwich but swapped the chicken for a burger patty (glad they let me do that). The only small letdown was the pineapple -- it was pretty thin. In a teriyaki-style burger the pineapple is kind of the star, so I would've loved it if they doubled or even tripled the amount so it had more presence. The place itself is spacious with plenty of seating, and the air conditioning is strong, which is a real plus in this heat. The owner was super nice and helped us the whole time, which made the experience even better. Overall I really enjoyed the food and the vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Fullerton. read more

Well smoked, good flavor, unique rub that my gf and I both enjoyed. Definitely something I'd order again. House Sausage: comes peppers & onions style. Definitely Kielbasa, obviously house made or made for this restaurant. Color gives it away. I'm really impressed. Only complaint, I'd like more peppers and onions next time because they were delicious. Smoked Turkey: double smoked breast meat that was absolutely phenomenal. I did not think it would be that good. Tri Tip: the rub on this absolutely blew our minds. Cracked black pepper and Santa Maria style. Better than the places I had in SLO (San Louis Obispo.) Sides, in no particular order: Greens were good. Best I've had in OC, but most places in OC dont even offer greens. IMO, better than Georgia's greens, which are above average. Baked Beans: average, little too watery, good flavor. Fries: above average, good seasoning, would order again Mexican Corn: Its elote folks. Pretty good standard elote at that. My gf and I will definitely be back. I'd say its definitely top 5 in OC that I've tried.
