Had my first visit tonight. I dined in on the uruapan burger, my girl got the BGO. We shared regular fries and also a container of the papas preparadas.. The uruapan has so much going on inside, quite intimidating when first seeing it. Once you get into eating, you find the flavors are there and mix pretty well. I had the avocado and tomatoes removed though.. They have a "clasica" burger for those looking to get in on a little less. Seems like a solid choice too.. The papas preparadas looked great, but lacked the extra flavor I assumed all the added toppings would provide. Feedback for the BGO came as a 5 star all love. The burger had plenty of flavor with a little spice, the grilled onions complimented each bite.. The prices aren't bad, but your order will add up quickly. We were very excited to try these burgers for the first time only to leave extremely disappointed. The burgers were very small compared to the advertised huge portions they post. The cashier rang up the incorrect order and rather than fix the order she continued to argue and say couldn't fix the order since it was already in and we'd have to wait for management to arrive in order to fix it. The place has a lot of seating. Indoor only. Everything was clean and ready for the dinner rush. No self serving soda, they do that behind the register. I like how you're greeted when you walk in. The young gal was very polite and I always look for that when trying a new establishment. I asked for her recommendations and of course she went for the big one which was the Uruapan Supreme. I got their signature Hamburguesa Uruapan burger and Papas Preparadas, the items were smaller than I had anticipated for the amount of ingredients going on, but still enough to be filling. The flavor is good, it did become a bit "one note" at a certain point though I felt. The service was great! Friendly and efficient. I wish they had a drink fountain, but they did have Mexican Coke so all is forgiven on that front. ;) The ambiance is that of a small burger joint, clean and simple with some seating. Order in front and have a seat until your number is called. Staff is welcoming, menu is straight forward and food was fresh and delicious. Hamburgers were better than expected as well. Thin patty, shredded lettuce, and all the traditional burger toppings. Not gonna lie, the burgers they're known for intimidated me but they look delicious and hearty. They are much smaller than they appear and on the pricey side for the portion. I felt like the burger could be burger. On the plus side, the patty they use for the meat is really flavorful. I would give their burgers a 6.5 overall. Another thing to consider is the area it's in. It's in a bit of a rougher part of town and not the most comfortable atmosphere. I think it's fine if you are in the area and want to try it out. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here, though. A hidden gem that needs more advertising. I have no complaints it is all so delicious. The grilled chili that comes with the supreme is top notch and the chiles momias are delicious! The burgers do look bigger than they are but they are still big! They will fill you up. Service was fast and friendly! Not too busy but it's because they are not promoted too much! I devoured that thing & it low-key brought Mexico foodie vibes with the meal. The bacon wrapped Chiles were also delicious. The concept is simple, Mexican style burgers. They nailed it! The menu is short and sweet, a small selection but it is delicious. The Mrs LOVED it and she hates everything.
