Dry and tasteless cheeseburger
Ms N.

I've been coming here for years, and it's disappointing to see how much the food quality has declined. The cheeseburger used to be my go-to order, but the last few times I've visited, it has been so bad! The burger was dry, bland, and lacked the flavor that made it stand out in the past. The customer service has also gone downhill. The staff often seem unfriendly and unpleasant to deal with, which only adds to the disappointing experience. It's sad to see a place that was once a favorite lose its focus on both food quality and customer service. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to restore the quality and service that kept customers coming back for years.

This place is just as good now as it was back in the 90s when I was a kid, I grew up up in Brea lived right down the street by the Brea post office and my dad would always take me here when I was young we would get burgers and onion rings and French fries. I came out to the OC to go to Disneyland and decided to stop by here on the way back home on Thursday January 8th,2026 around 11:30am, I came with a friend, I ordered a turkey burger and onion rings, the staff was super friendly, the place is immaculate! Very clean as soon as someone finished eating they were cleaning the table. I'm so happy I got to come to a place that meant so much to me as a kid and eat and have the same experience I did back then, can't wait to come again next time I'm in town, thank you Brea's best for great food and amazing service!

pattymelt on their menu with carmelized onion.

Dumpy patio, was fun to take the dogs here. Front Employees seemed nice but then I had an exchange with the cook that wad beyond senseless. Ordered a burger, a pattymelt fries, a puppy patty for the dogs and a drink. Everything was decent, we come here for convience not a incredible dining experience. Pattymelt was given to us with no carmelized onion. Took it back to the chef and he acted like I was an idiot for not asking for it with onion. Rude, wasted my time and no longer convenient which is this places bread and butter because the food isn't great. Very disapointing, chef had us waiting for onion while our food got cold and then didnt even make the pattymelt, just gave us a tray with partially cooked onion. their menu has by default carmelized onion.

I had a good experience at Brea's Best Burgers. I ordered the Cheeseburger ($6.89) and Sausage Breakfast Burrito ($9.99). The portions are very big, and its ingredients felt clean & fresh. I arrived at Brea's Best Burgers on Friday (around 11:13AM). Parking is convenient and easy. Staff is professional and friendly. Staff spoke Spanish and English. Staff worked hard and quickly. I ordered for "dine-in." I received a small metal number & found a seat, and staff brought the food to the table. I waited only four minutes. So fast! As mentioned, I ordered the Cheeseburger ($6.89) and Sausage Breakfast Burrito ($9.99). The Sausage Breakfast Burrito was the more memorable option. That heavy, hot, & freshly prepared breakfast burrito had fluffy potatoes (similar to textured mashed potatoes), generous cheese, eggs, and savory sausage slices. Its ingredients tasted very fresh, and this hefty breakfast burrito was extremely satisfying. The Cheeseburger was also a solid option. It arrived somewhat lukewarm, but I appreciated the freshness of its ingredients. The Cheeseburger had a toasty, buttered bun; its meat patty carried a light char; and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Unfortunately, the meat's patty was somewhat bland and under-seasoned. Most of the flavor derived from the fresh vegetables and thinly spread thousand island sauce. Concerning ambiance, Brea's Best Burgers is cozy and attractive. The art mural is vibrant and well-maintained. The furniture is bright, colorful, and clean. The tables are sleek and shiny. However, although its floors were relatively clean, it would have benefited from several more sweeps. Also, I disliked how their music had numerous commercials/advertisements; it felt like radio. In addition, this location can get echoey, so customer chatter might make it somewhat difficult to converse. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience at Brea's Best Burgers. The food is huge, affordable, & fresh. If nearby, you're very fortunate to have such a tasty option. 4.7 out of 5

I hadn't been back here in a while but today I really wanted a charbroiled burger and this place hit the spot. The burger I ordered was massive for the price, and very good. Not greasy at all, which is what I was looking for. I also ordered a side of large fries to share, which was enough for 3 people. Overall the quality was good and exactly what I wanted today. I did an online order and picked up. My order was ready promptly and service was good. This place has a diner feel, with old Brea vibes, conveniently located off Brea blvd, with plenty of parking.

I ordered a chorizo burrito from here yesterday. I had an early morning today for work so I ordered it last night & saved it for today. I started eating it & enjoyed the beginning, then I felt a little snap when I bit into it, thought it was cheese or something. Nope. It's a long black hair, worked into my burrito. I cannot eat this & I am really disappointed that it was rolled into my burrito. It's a shame because I live so close to the area, but I will never be eating here again.

Brea's Best Burgers is one of the staples of the downtown Brea area. Any time you drive by here, you can't miss the big yellow and brown sign on the corner which has been there for ages. The inside has a classic diner feel with a black and white tiled floor, red and white booths, and a great classic cars mural along the back wall. There are also some benches out front if you would like to get some fresh air while you eat. I have only ever eaten burgers here but their menu is pretty extensive and includes burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, Mexican favorites, and breakfast. When you order and dine-in, they will give you a number and bring your food to your table when it is ready. The cashier was friendly as she took my order and when she delivered it. I decided to order the avocado bacon cheeseburger. I thought to myself "wow that looks good" when it arrived. The patty actually looked a little thin, but I took my first bite and it had an excellent char-broiled flavor. The strips of bacon had a nice thickness and were good and meaty. There was also a good amount of avocado. It was a solid burger and pretty filling on its own since I didn't order a side to go with it. I'll definitely be back.

In all my years that I've ive been in the Brea area, I have passed by, but never tried this place. I now have the pleasure of saying this place is great. On a whim, I ordered through their site, and had the pickup order ready within 10 minutes. The store is clean, appearing to be recently renovated in the past 5 years, with an old school diner feel. The food was excellent for the standards of a burger joint. I ordered the chili cheese fries, and the fam got the variety of burgers. Everything was cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. I don't need to over explain, but there is no lie here. These guys sell the best burger in Brea!

Very good burger spot! It was a cool place to sit and eat a good burger. Service is quick as the employees are quick to serve and our food came pretty quick. I ordered the cheese burger with a fries and a drink and my boyfriend tried the chili cheeseburger with the fries. The burgers were $7 so adding in the combo, it was about $12 per meal. I believe total we spent was $27. Wasn't bad for the price especially how we are getting good quality food. The patties are so mpist and the food tasted so fresh! The fries were also very good. They were hot and crispy! Had a good crunch to it too! The only critic we had is that it was advertised as a 50s diner but it didn't feel like it. But I appreciate the effort! Will definitely be back to try their other burgers!

The last time I had Brea's Best Burgers was well over 15 years ago when I was still in high school. I've been meaning to try this joint again more recently and I'm a little upset that I haven't earlier. I've been here twice within the last few weeks and I plan on coming more often. Here's what I've tried: **Double Cheeseburger: I love, love, LOVE their burgers. It's really love that it's not overly salty like your typical fast food chains. Some may argue that it's bland but I believe they are perfect! All the ingredients are fresh and meats are cooked to perfection. There's the most perfect ratio of spread included on the buns. (5/5) **Sweet Potato Fries: They have the perfect amount of sweetness and salty flavor profiles. Fries are extremely thick and so delicious. (5/5) *Strawberry Shake: Quite expensive at around $7 if you ask me but it's delicious! Sure, it's a simple strawberry shake, but it's super thick and creamy! (5/5) Amazing! Brea's Best Burgers has easily made my list of favorite establishments in Orange County! I hope to become a regular here and try more of their offerings. I've ordered through the phone once and was quoted ten minutes to which they delivered perfectly. I ordered inside for takeout earlier today during a busy hour and my food was ready within 5 minutes! I 100% recommend Brea's Best if you're looking for something delicious and affordable!

I love this place! I used to live nearby. I would walk over. Delicious food. I mostly stuck to the Bacon burger combo, but I've had the salads and they are quite yummy and substantial. They do not have a drive thru, but it's okay. Word of warning, they have great food so if you go at lunchtime, there WILL be a wait. Worth it!! I highly recommend!

Service terrible and rude to begin with, the girl at the counter seems to not like her job( find one where you don't deal with people) Food was bleh. No flavor and over cooked. They look pretty but the taste is just not there. I won't be coming back . Double negative tonight at this place.

Brea's Best Burgers truly lives up to its name - it's the best burger I've ever had. I remember trying a burger there for the first time in 2002, and I was amazed at how delicious a burger could be. Since then, whenever someone asks me for a recommendation for a great burger place, I always suggest Brea's Best Burgers. Everyone I've recommended it to has become a regular customer. I usually order the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and onion rings, and I highly recommend it!

Half orders consisting of one thick piece of brioche bread cut diagonally, and a full order is double that. The batter is balanced somewhere perfectly between subtle and rich. Best of all, this is a very rare place that will give you a lot of extra powdered sugar. The vast majority of restaurants, mistakenly believing maple syrup and butter are the only acceptable french toast condiments, either don't even carry it or won't provide more than the lightest dusting. You can get all the powdered sugar you want here! My favorite item at Toast is the churro french toast. It comes with a sweet butter cream on the side, sliced strawberries, and mini churros on top! And the service here is excellent!

ALWAYS great food & service!…read more We come here semi-regularly and are never disappointed. From the fact that you can check in on Yelp prior to your arrival to avoid a long wait to how amazing their homemade juice mimosa flight is, the experience at Early Bird is always top notch. Every employee there genuinely seems to enjoy their job and are always really attentive, kind and on top of their game. I don't think we've ever had an order messed up or item forgotten in all the times we've gone. Food is always so good as well! We love the rancho Benedict with carnitas and avocado mash. They've even done it on sliced tomato for me instead of an English muffin upon request. We also enjoy the biscuits and gravy. The Elvis waffle with bacon and banana is to die for as is the Brioche French toast. The Real Deal Holyfield Steak & Eggs is the way to go if you're craving something extra hearty. It had a really nice spicy kick, and I especially loved the crunchy onions that added extra texture to every bite. I picked the mixed greens salad as my side, though the dressing made it a little too sour for my taste so I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend, who's a big omelette person, ordered the veggie omelette.
