I visited Brea's Best Burgers for the first time and although I enjoyed my burger, I am disappointed by a single worker who ruined my experience. Ordering was easy with the female cashier. I didn't have to wait long for my hamburger. Once I saw it come from the back kitchen, I walked to the front window to wait for the male staff member in the middle kitchen to put it in a paper bag. While I stood at the front window, I noticed a female worker preparing either chili cheese or sweet potato fries in the back kitchen...and her colleague likely male who was standing to her left grabbed fries from the dish she was arranging. I didn't see the colleague put the fries in his mouth because by then I had to pick up my burger and the window slot doesn't allow me to see their bodies above their shoulder but the worker definitely dug his fingers into the customer's fries while the female worker didn't stop him and she continued to drizzle white sauce onto the fries. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHYGIENIC for a worker to take a piece from a customer's order to likely consume himself. To be fair, even though I didn't watch long enough to see him put fries in his mouth, the way he put his hands on the fries didn't look like he was putting back fries that may have fallen off the plate onto their plating area, he definitely was trying to pull fries deep in the pile to get one that was drenched in sauce. What a cool little diner! Super clean and menu is impressive (breakfast served all day!) This is the kind of "mom and pop" burger place that gives you all your basics, and still served to perfection. Really disappointed with the quality of the food. I went in a bit before closing time although I appreciate them taking my order I asked before 8:40pm. They close at 9:00pm.. They told me they only had orders to go. After a long work day I honestly didn't want to cook and came in for a bbq chicken sandwich combo. I came out to the OC to go to Disneyland and decided to stop by here on the way back home on Thursday January 8th,2026 around 11:30am, I came with a friend, I ordered a turkey burger and onion rings, the staff was super friendly, the place is immaculate! As mentioned, I ordered the Cheeseburger ($6.89) and Sausage Breakfast Burrito ($9.99). The Sausage Breakfast Burrito was the more memorable option. That heavy, hot, & freshly prepared breakfast burrito had fluffy potatoes (similar to textured mashed potatoes), generous cheese, eggs, and savory sausage slices. Its ingredients tasted very fresh, and this hefty breakfast burrito was extremely satisfying. The Cheeseburger was also a solid option. It arrived somewhat lukewarm, but I appreciated the freshness of its ingredients. The Cheeseburger had a toasty, buttered bun; its meat patty carried a light char; and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Unfortunately, the meat's patty was somewhat bland and under-seasoned. Most of the flavor derived from the fresh vegetables and thinly spread thousand island sauce. Concerning ambiance, Brea's Best Burgers is cozy and attractive. The art mural is vibrant and well-maintained. The furniture is bright, colorful, and clean. The tables are sleek and shiny. However, although its floors were relatively clean, it would have benefited from several more sweeps. Also, I disliked how their music had numerous commercials/advertisements; it felt like radio. In addition, this location can get echoey, so customer chatter might make it somewhat difficult to converse. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience at Brea's Best Burgers. When you order and dine-in, they will give you a number and bring your food to your table when it is ready. The cashier was friendly as she took my order and when she delivered it. I decided to order the avocado bacon cheeseburger. I thought to myself "wow that looks good" when it arrived. The patty actually looked a little thin, but I took my first bite and it had an excellent char-broiled flavor. The strips of bacon had a nice thickness and were good and meaty. Their burger was bland, without even salt and pepper. Ketchup and mustard couldn't help it. It tastes like frozen burger patties that are overcooked. Not juicy at all. Their beef hotdog wasn't very juicy either and was bland as well. Maybe if they added on the grill top?! For both, a little overpriced. Their breakfast burrito is pretty good.
