My Man took me here again for lunch. This time he had a burger and I had a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. First, his burger was good! Perfect Sports Bar food! Second, my wrap was good, but not great. Now, in their defense, I pictured Buffalo sauce dripping down my arm and a toasted wrap. Now that I have ordered it, I would tell them to go heavy on the sauce and throw it back on the grill to toast the wrap and really get it hot. Love the store but the customer service is terrible, went in 40 mins before closing to try to find something and wasn't greeted and was talked about by two employees about how me and my friend were coming in too close to closing time and how rude that was. They were talking to each other about how we needed to hurry up. We got in and out under 20 mins. I've worked in customer service for 6 years and this is a sad experience, I get being frustrated wanting to leave but talking loud enough to make sure we heard what y'all said was very unprofessional. read more

Came here on a shopping trip with my sister in the earlier days of Phase 2 in NC. Fitting rooms were open here. Another unexpected point of good news was that the dresses I got (and the one my mom bought for me) were even lower in price than marked due to a sale. I had to get some summer clothes due to having come to my mom's home with no summer clothes. The dresses in my size that I found are really cute and if you're good at thrift shopping, you should do well here. So, they make you fill out a form that will take about 5 minutes, asking for personal info, including photo driver's license, email, etc. Once done, I'm told that they don't take leather jackets (never mentioned the 4 denim jackets), so I ask: Why the hell did you make me fill out an application form when you saw what I brought in? I shop here allll the time, absolutely love the clothes and money i save here rather than going to the mall. So i went through my closet to get rid of clothes and i thought i would sell some of it to them rather than it all going to goodwill. There were very expensive things in there that i thought i could make a little money off of. like a pair of 200 dollar shoes that were worn once. So i take these clothes and shoes in and they tell me it will be about an hour which i expected so i shop around. Immediately i notice that none of these employees are actually going through the clothes and there are a lot of clothes so if they had an hour they probably should have started by now, about 30 mins after i dropped them off they started going through it. After 15 mins they call me back over and tell me they can only take 10 of my items out of the 5 bags i brought. Now i did not expect them to take all of my clothes but i at least expected them to go through all of my bags not just one bag. They tried to tell me they went through all my bags but i watched them and they did not. On top of that the customer service was awful. The girls were plain rude which i had never had that experience before there so shopping there is good but do not sell your clothes there if you want to make money. read more

I rarely shop here, however, I do bring my used clothing here to sell. My as well get a few bucks and then whatever they don't take I'll drop off at a thrift store. I never expect to get much. But It's a dollar I didn't have before so I'm pretty happy with whatever I get. The store is very clean and seems trendy to attract the younger people. The staff are pretty friendly to me despite what other reviews state. The store has an organized layout for the ease of the customer to find things. Went in to buy items more than once, and the ladies behind the counter had horrible attitudes the entire time I was in the store. This is a reoccurring situation too. The clothes are overpriced for what they are, and they rarely keep any merchandise worth buying in the store because you can see the pile behind the counter of name brand goods the employees are buying before they even go on the shelves. You are better off spending your money at goodwill for the same stuff. Employees are very lazy, and ill mannered. read more

I walked in the store at 6:15pm and the place closes at 8pm. I was trying to sell a pair of shoes (Nike Air Jordan's). The girl made up some bull crap talking about that they stop buying at this time, due to them being backed up. Meanwhile, they weren't busy scanning anything. Vintage clothing I think not? Customer Service i think not? I have never seen in all my years of business a company ran this way! Red Flag customers beware!! Incident Date 5/8/16 Went with a friend we were the first ones in the door at 1pm. We had some clothes to evaluate and exchange. This was our first time experience and not a good one. We were told that our clothing was too mature. Last time a checked Banana Republic is very sought after brand and label, but I was told I was too old for their store. Caution Age Discrimination along with any type of discrimination is not acceptable in today's world, when trying to grow a business and brand. I also notice employees shopping the racks in the back instead of putting merchandise out. Maybe, the Manger is not aware of what her staff is doing and is unhappy in her role, this could explain a lot if the owners have a different outlook and view of their business. I was told by the employee that the Manager would have to help me. The Manager could not be interrupted with the common courtesy and say, I will be with you in a minute. At that point we videoed this happening as we have never seen anything like this in any type business before. We were told this was a franchise location and one owner operation. We have many years of retail experience and a proven track record in the business and have never seen a company that a employee could not provide you their name and their Mangers name, They were not allowed to do that.It is clear their polices and procedures may not have been directed by ownership? Red Flag you cant stand behind your employees or brand? Was told by the Manager that I could not have any names of owners, District Manager, etc. If this is the future of small business this not the way to grow your brand or business. I would love to know what their mission statement is for the company/owner? Business is built on your integrity and your customers. Without both you have a failure in the making. I am very disappointed in this experience and truly can not believe this happened. Customers are you business without them you have nothing. They can take your personal information and can not give you their names even first name? This is very scary in this day and age of identity theft and does not build customer trust. People love to see and interact with people on a first name bases and are engaged when they are taking caring. If the owner really cares about their P&L you need to have people capable of representing you in the proper manner. Being a professional in business you always treat everyone the same and with respect as any customer can generate a lot future business your way. A company should be proud of there employees and their brand not hiding and not giving out their names and not wanting to help their customers and promote the company experience. A business should cater to all ages of society since we all wear clothes. A persons style. like their clothing is a representation their brand. Absolute garbage. Brought in a good amount of clothing and shoes (the styles they said they needed, and also clothes I had previously bought there but had never worn), and they said to give them 45 minutes. Came back 20 minutes later and my bag was still on the counter. They said they couldn't buy any of it because of the style/wear. Opened the bag up and the clothes were all in the same place as it none of them had been moved or examined at all. Terrible experience. Waste of time. Do not recommend. read more

I went there when they opened on sunday... i knocked on the door when it was 1pm. I had several bags and left them to sort while i went to shop. You can see the entire experience on my page. Bad experience at Uptown Cheapskates in Winston-Salem today. I took some St. Johns Bay leather boots in to sell. Three pairs of boots that have never been worn. In original box with price still on them. I was told that they were too "mature" for them to buy. Although the boots are new with trending heels they would not buy them because of the brand name. These same boots are selling now on J.C. Penney website. They retail at $130.00.They should list on their website if they are not interested in certain brand names. I didn't know that resale shops were reluctant to buy certain brand names even though this brand is a quality product. My assumption is that Uptown Cheapskates does not have cater to mature shoppers. read more
