Uptown Daniela's Flower Shop deserves all the stars. I ordered flowers online for my mom and they did not have the vase as pictured but called to confirm if a different one was okay to use. I could not get to the phone in time and rather than delaying the order, the lady used an equally beautiful vase; they delivered the flowers in a beautiful arrangement. This was 5/30 and today is 6/10 and my mom is posting pictures with the flowers that are blossoming and beautiful still. This shop delivers both great customer service and products worth the money. HOW GREAT is this company. They went well out of their way to make sure my surprise flowers were delivered to me on my birthday. I was at work and I had missed their driver's calls (multiple). When I called back, Denise (who was in charge of my gift delivery) graciously made a turnaround and waited to meet me back at my apartment for the exchange. I ordered flowers online for an important occasion a few days early. On the day I had selected, they never delivered the order because they "didn't have the same vase" that was shown online. They didn't even bother to call or text me to let me know about this. I'm annoyed that the delivery to my friend didn't happen on the day i specifically ordered. Their customer service is terrible. I contacted Daniela's Flowers to send a holiday arrangement to a dear friend's husband who was getting a hip replacement in the hospital in NYC. Although the security office signed for the delivery, it never got to my friend and wasn't located. I also referenced my friend (the wife) was also on staff at this hospital! We realized it wasn't the florist's fault, as they are no longer allowed to make the deliveries themselves. But I did contact them, not to complain, just to warn them to advise their customers to not send flowers to this or any) hospital, better to send them to the house. Daniela insisted on making another delivery and got my friend's contact information and schedule! Such extraordinary service that was so unexpected! Heads up... I was not the one who ordered the flowers... I was on the receiving end. My boyfriend sent me flowers to my home, and it arrived little bit earlier than expected, so I was not home from work. I received a call, and the person delivering the flowers was very nice and stayed on the phone until he made sure that my neighbor was home to receive the flowers for me. I've ordered at the uptown Daniela's Flower Shop in Washington Heights for a few years now and it was fine and reasonable. However, this Valentine's Day the roses only lasted for two days before they drooped, the roses wilting over at the blossom. The chocolate I ordered with them was stale, as if it were months old, with white areas around the edges of some of the chocolates. My girlfriend waited a couple days to show me, then she threw them out. Daniela's did a good job until this year. However, after this, I need to move on to another local florist who delivers fresh flowers and chocolate. read more

This place is the worst. Forget about their general low end selection of crappy flowers, below the level of most delis downtown. On Valentine's Day I asked them to make a bouquet by putting together two bunches of flowers in one wrapping. It would have taken no more than :45 seconds. They refused because it's "too busy." I asked if they're a full service florist, and they claimed they are, but still couldn't wrap my flowers into one bouquet because it's busy. Unreal way to treat a longtime neighborhood resident... I was happy to get the EXACT same quality flowers at the stand at the deli down the block, where the vendor was more than happy to put together two bunches into one presentable bouquet. He offered me advice and helped me chose the perfect variety that blended well and matched my brothers' color scheme. He accepted all major credit cards as well as cash. My brother had one more specific request for marigolds, which I could not find anywhere. After a quick visit back to Daniela's.... I am assuming it is his wife, who was equally friendly offered to place a special order for me and throw in a few bunches extra. Not only did they do an amazing job on every item I ordered, the flowers were all fresh, exactly as promised. I know of some people, who usually have a hard time going through this process, especially with a large order as mine, but I was in an out in less than 45 minutes with all smiles and my mind at ease. Amazing, amazing shop. They went above and beyond to fulfill a same day delivery at almost the end of their workday, and they were so kind and catering throughout the whole thing. The flowers were so perfect. I'm a florist from Boston, and my coworker and I wanted to send something sort of silly and novelty-esque to a friend for her birthday, and Daniela's delivered! 100% satisfied. The puppy basket arrangement made everyone's day, and while it's cute and funny, it's also very well arranged and very fresh. Great product. I love the little bow and band-aid too! I was sending flowers to someone but because of work hours, she was unable to answer the door at 4 pm for the delivery so the two employers helped push the delivery to 7 pm despite it being late. I am giving them a 2 because the flowers are beautiful but the service is a 0. The service I received was so horrible I will never go back.I had to ask 3 times to get the flowers wrapped together as a bouquet and wrapped in plastic and paper. The person in front of me was getting the exact same items and she was treated very well since the sales person was flirting with her. When I challenged the manager about the fact that I had to ask three times and then stop him from wrapping the flowers in the used paper, I was patronized and called "mama" it was truly ridiculous. first call the store yesterday to inquire about plant prices as im an aficionado, terrible customer service was told they could not give me info that I had to come in or call another time, so i decided well let me go in, well that went left too, i asked about several prices and couldn't get a straight answer, I did ask for a few prices and yes she was getting annoyed, not good and when i asked if she was Daniela i got a really rude no back and the roll of the eyes and when i asked why don't their items have prices her response was "my boss doesn't put it because he changes them", well guess what that against consumer affair rights and i can see that others have complained, stay away and visit Anthonys florist, less product but nicer and will order for you. read more
