It's been quite some time since I've visited Uptown for my first time so I figured I'd come back with an update! I was looking for some time to kill and needed to get some work done, and this place is close to home so it was the perfect spot. It was a weekday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised at how slow it was. I was able to find a preferred spot for my laptop and I and the service was great. I hadn't tried any food here but I'm always seeing signs for interesting specials so I figured I'd take a peek at their menu. I went with the BLTT Croissant, minus the tomatoes (because ew). The croissant was nice and fluffy and toppings were ample considering I nixed one of them. Loved the pesto mayo! That was the main draw that got me after trying to decide between a few options. They have a great assortment of daytime drinking cocktails, mimosa flights, and more. I think if I'm remembering correctly, they have a whole "Daytime Kocktails" menu which is fun! Outside of all of that, they have a great cafe beverage menu, smoothies, and a kid's menu for food as well. So this is a great spot for the whole family, really. The only thing that was a downer for me is that there's no WiFi?! I came here specifically to work and was surprised to find they didn't have any when I asked if there was a password. I ended up just purchasing an Xfinity WiFi pass but I don't think I've ever been to a café that didn't have any WiFi? So just note that if you're trying to work like I was. This is the cutest little coffee shop! The kocktails were beautifully presented and a fun way to finish our day. The breakfasts are delectable! They cooked my eggs Benedict perfectly despite my pickiness on having my eggs poached medium. The loco moco was a shocker! I've never liked it this much and I've had several versions while in Hawaii! Don't forget the fresh scones and homemade donuts!!! The staff is amazing and attentive. The decor is filled with a cutesy country yet modern style. Let me start with the good: the service when I visited Uptown Kafe was solid. Everyone was friendly, the vibe was welcoming, and as someone stopping in for the first time, I appreciated that kind of warmth. Now here's where it went left... After my visit, I started feeling unwell. I hadn't eaten anything for about 14 hours prior, so naturally, I wanted to give them a quick heads-up. Not to accuse anyone of anything, just to be transparent in case it was something they should know about. When I called, I expected to speak, be heard, and maybe just have a quick exchange nothing dramatic. Instead, I got talked over and cut off by the manager, who immediately launched into how she's worked in healthcare and that foodborne illness can take 24 hours to show symptoms. Okay, cool, but I wasn't even finished explaining myself. I wasn't looking for a refund or to stir anything up. I just wanted to be heard. But I felt dismissed, like my experience wasn't even worth listening to. That alone told me everything I needed to know. Unfortunately, based on that call, I won't be going back. Two words, Flight Club!!!! This little gem is fun, friendly and locally owned. My friend and I came for the flights, but we're also starving, so decided to get some food as well. We couldn't decide what flight we wanted to try, so the woman behind the counter went over the different flights with us.......we would have definitely had more than one flight.....but we're trying to be good. My friend decided on the Coffee Flight and I went with the Mojito Flight. First......the presentation on the coffee flight was amazing! Fun and just the right size. She got Cold Brew Jameson Vanilla, Mint White Chocolate, Kahlua Irish Cream and Coconut Latte. They were all delicious hints of Vanilla, cool mint, Soft notes of Kahlua, Creamy but not over powering coconut. My friends favorite was the Coconut Latte. It was creamy and complimented the coffee well. I had the Mojito Flight. Lemon Mojito, Passion Fruit, Blueberry Lavender and Strawberry. I enjoyed them all! The lemon was a good start, the strawberry, the blueberry with the lavender at the end, but the Passion Fruit was the show stopper for me. I love majority of things with PassionFruit and this did not disappoint! Tangy, fruity, delicious. All had that beautiful minty notes. Will definitely be back for that! We loved the chicken bacon wrap.First, I love how she wrapped it. The lettuce was pin the outer layer of the wrap so it was still crunchy with the warm chicken! Small coffee place with a drive through. We were at Milton for a soccer game very early in the morning and couldn't survive the cold without a coffee. Uptown was the nearest place with drive through. At least 3 cars were ahead of us. But it cleared quickly as. Ordered a few coffees and lattes. Also picked up a few pastries for others. Service was very nice. The lady was friendly and warm! I reserved this café for a small, intimate gathering for my mom. It was our first time ever visiting, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had at a local business. We had booked a three-hour reservation for $150. Due to an unexpected situation the night before, I wasn't able to contact the café until around noon to let them know we'd be running late -- which I take responsibility for. Even so, we still arrived, were prepared to pay in full, and kept the space clean. From the moment we arrived, the attitude toward us felt rude and unwelcoming. Instead of any understanding or basic hospitality -- especially for first-time customers -- it felt like we were being treated as an inconvenience. We ended up only staying about an hour, and when our reserved time ended at 2 PM, the owner made it very clear that we needed to leave almost immediately. Even though the café doesn't close until 3 PM, there was no flexibility or courtesy offered, not even a few extra minutes. We left the reserved area and went downstairs to the regular café section, which was still open, just to continue talking for a bit. The owner then opened the door in a way that clearly signaled she wanted us completely out of the building. The tone and approach felt unnecessarily rude and rushed. On top of that, when a couple of our guests walked over the rope near the side parking area to get to their cars, the owner called out from her window for them to "use the sidewalk," again in a very sharp, dismissive tone. It added to the overall feeling that we weren't welcome or treated with basic respect. The Overall, the experience was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and far from hospitable. For a small group of six who made no mess and were simply trying to celebrate something meaningful, the treatment felt extremely disappointing. With tax and tip for a large iced tea I paid $9.16. I have never paid so much money for an ice tea even in a high-end restaurant. I have driven past the shop for many years and decided to drop in. I have been looking for a local sit down coffee shop other than Starbucks. It was nice and had a little gift store, but I will not come here again. McDonalds has large iced tea for under $2, you can sit down and buy food. It's missing the ambience, but the price is right. read more

We have driven by this place for over a year and never stopped. Big mistake. The food and the service is superb. Especially our server Sara. She want above and beyond to accomidate us. My Husband and I both had the Cheeseburger with French fries. So good. Fresh food and crispy fries. Everything is made to order. There little gift shop is Amazing also. I have visited this coffee shop many times in the past three years using the drive-thru. I finally ate inside and have been back twice since. The two ladies running this place are great. The inside is so cute and cozy. They decorate and have items for sale. They offer flights, and they are so cute and delicious. We tried the Bloody Mary flight during our last visit; such a neat idea and it was delicious! A Bloody Mary made with Vodka, what?!?! Don't forget JoJo's baked goods at the counter, oh my!! I got the Snickers thing the first time- Oh-em-gee, so delicious!!! We got some donuts to go, and those were good, too. This reminds me of a small town cafe where you go to enjoy the atmosphere, a good meal, and your company, and not a place to go when you are in a rush. I look forward to going back in a month to enjoy all the Christmas vibes in this place and, of course, a JoJo treat to go. read more

We were passing through Milton and wanted to get a coffee. I spotted a cute little building with Hawaiian like named cafe, so I decided to give it a go. I walked in and typical coffee menus and lots of Hawaiian like menu. I ordered FME breakfast wrap with spam and they UP charged 3 dollars to replace spam with bacon, sausage or ham... spam should.not be an upgrade substitute. Then she asked me if I wanted to add guacamole or sour cream for additional charge. Anyhow the total came to 19 dollars and some changes. I thought that was little expensive for a breakfast wrap and glad to not have added guacamole for another upcharge. Then i waited about 20 minutes for my food which was a very long time for breakfast. I decided to ask the chef who was at the front greeting and socializing with the customers. She had cooked the inside but forgot to wrap it up and finish my to go order. The wrap was huge. Tasted nothing out of ordinary with pan fried veggie, spam, and eggs. It was so huge everything in burrito fell apart. I do not think I will be back here for breakfast. It was also disappointing to find out the owner is not islander but just a person who has visited the island. read more

We went for breakfast and I ordered a cappuccino, the don't have oatmilk which is a bummer, but they do have lots of food options.. My husband and I shared the Hen in a Nest sandwich and ate it before I even though of taking a picture. It was big enough for both of us. This is my second time coming. Food is decent but overpriced. They will upcharge you for everything. The staff seem to really push that you order food. When I said no to dessert, they said "We'll just keep your tab open in case you change your mind." Personally not a fan of that. My breakfast and one drink cost almost $30. The staff became a bit standoffish when you don't order food from what I observed. They will not let you come in and sit unless you order something which is why the entrance is roped off until after you pay. They do have lots of cute things for sale, but again seems overpriced to me. They were playing country music and I was there for about 45 minutes and was the only costumer sitting inside. Last year, we had emailed about using their event space upstairs but at the time, they said they were understaffed and couldn't accommodate us. I wanted to give it another shot, but this experience was a duplicate of my first and I don't think I'll be back. read more

Lets start this off with saying this was my second visit to this shop, it was my friends first. I was riding a bike with my friend around Milton. We had decided to end our adventure with a snack break at the new shiny cafe that had been built here. Our order consisted of a small tin of 2 slices of cake, a strawberry-banana flavoured redbull, and a small hot chocolate. Now let's start off our experience, we had arrived and locked our bikes outside which it did thankfully have a bike stand. We walked up and the doors were l o c k e d. The customers had to let us in. The barista had not apologized, and just fixed the door. My friend and I laughed it off and proceeded to place our order. The order came out to around a whopping $20. The cake itself, 2 slices about the size of a small hand (mine in the photo) costed a whole $12. Now I could probably eat this in one bite. Nonetheless we had gotten the cake first since it was prepackaged, and we sat down and began to eat it. Yet unbeknownst to us part of the cake was m o l d y. We were both halfway through our slices when we noticed it. We obviously reported this to the barista who was watching TV. She got us another which was also moldy, and then got us a third one from the back in which she "promised" was fresh. I had some bathroom issues later that evening. The drinks were also unsurprisingly subpar. My friends drink was good, my hot chocolate however was basically warm milk. My experience should have shut down the entire shop. The moldy food, the terrible service, and the awful environment. Hopefully this will rightfully be a deterrent to any new Milton customers. Save your money and time and just head to A Spoonful of Sugar. read more

We were in from Arizona visiting family and stopped in here for breakfast and an energy infusion drink to start our Saturday. We went inside to the cutest little gift shop and dining area. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the breakfast wrap and split and it's a good thing we did! The burrito was delicious and huge!! As I left, I heard someone else coming in saying "Well THIS isn't a friendly user experience" and that sums it up for me. Inside, there's a pay-before-you-enter system with a literal roped-off area accessible only through purchase, supposedly there to prevent COVID incidents but without any enforcement of mask policies. I assume they did diligent cleanup efforts after guests left, though I didn't see any in the hour that I was present. It became clear, as others have said in reviews, that buying a drink without food gets you the cold shoulder, so I can only assume the owner was generating maximally profitable turnover with their policies. While inside, I looked around at the ambience, trying to make sense of it. The interior is decorated in fake candle art (for sale) over a large fireplace with LIVE LAUGH LOVE merch (for sale). Tic tac toe boards (for sale) adorn a glass coffee table. Every inch of the store has been outfitted with something to buy, seemingly without theme. Even the bathroom has been overtaken with precise, calculated cuteness, as if they outfitted the entire place at random using Google searches of rural suburban swag. The overall vibe is "Please spend your money and leave", which I was happy to do. After exiting the one-way exit door, I got past the eternally abandoned ring of uncomfortable outdoor seating, realized I'd forgotten my bag at table, and re entered the line side of the shop to retrieve it. After waiting in line ten minutes, I noticed they'd taken down the customer barrier and decided to walk around to retrieve my bag. Immediately an angry employee came around and said "You've been coming in and out of here without paying, you need to leave, get your things and get out of here" as if I was running a scam. I pointed to the bag on the ground and said "I've left my bag here and am returning to pick it up". Ordinarily this would be the moment where a person would say "Oh! Okay, no problem, I see that you're doing a reasonable thing". The worker, still mid power trip, replied "Well you can't come in and out of here without paying, you need to leave" and doubled down on their threatening attitude. It was 100 degrees outside and I still felt relief leaving. I have never had a more hostile coffee shop experience and I'm unsurprised by the number of negative reviews. If you want a good experience, save your time and money and go to the Spoonful of Sugar next door -- it's cute, it's genuinely friendly, the coffee tastes better, the decorations are cuter, the conversations are nicer, there's no freaky hodgepodge of LIVE LAUGH LOVE merch for sale in every corner, and no one is playing mall cop with the riff raff. read more

For the past three months I have been coming here 3-4 times a week. Each time I come in, I order my coffee of choice which comes to $6.90, and then tip 20%--bringing my total to just over $8.00, every time. The owner has always been short with me and literally everytime tries to up-sell me on food in which I politely tell her "no thanks, I typically don't eat breakfast".. and have even added food to my order a handful of times bringing my total close to $25.00.. I stay to finish my coffee and do a little work from my computer, in and out within 1 hour max. Well today will be the last time I come in. I walk in this morning "greeted" by the owner with "need our WiFi again..?" I was so confused by the comment I just ordered my coffee, tipped the 20% and sat down to work for about 30 min and let it sink in. I had a conversation with her upon leaving in which she told me that it does indeed "bug her" that I don't order food. I would understand frustration if I wasn't a paying customer, but my coffee is not cheap and I tip well--again, every time. Long story short--unbelievably rude owner, who apparently would rather have nobody in her shop than a paying customer. Highly suggest staying away from this place. read more

I planned a double birthday party with my lady friends. The team at Uptown Missy and crew went above and beyond to make our time so lovely. The food was great and we had the best time. The barista was the nicest. I was looking for a new place in the Milton area that serves Italian sodas with great customer service and I found it. Barista was super helpful with the menu. She let us know about the other stuff they offer. She was very interactive and super sweet to my 3 yr old. Nice family place with friendly staff. My second time coming in and Robynn was so helpful and also very engaging and friendly. She set us up with an account to get discounts and she was very sweet to my 3 yr old as well. We have visited this location 4 times now and I believe this is not my coffee place. It is nice and many will like it but I will go back to some of the others in the area. Today we had a Blueberry Muffin and cookie and neither were good - the blueberry muffin had a total of two blueberries in it and cookie was cheap. I asked if the real coffee cups are here yet and was glared at and told not all coffee places have real cups - that is right - Starbucks doesn't - but I don't go their either. Fortunately for those who like that - I guess Starbucks is coming shortly - personally I would think they would try to be different - but what do I know. For the opening weekend it was Good I wish they had real cups for the coffee vs paper but this is Milton We had a Barn Yard Burger Dip which was good. Interesting dip- it is thick - more a thick gravy but tastes good. I also like the plate the sandwich comes on. - Simple yet looks nice and accents the decor. Also like the old days- you get a pickle slice with the sandwich along with chips Only tables are for 6 and there are only 2 of them. There is couch seating and a long bar that runs the length of the place. I guess there is an upstairs but being handicapped - the stairs are long. Speaking of handicapped I am concerned it is a little dangerous. The handicap space is on the side and encourages you to walk down the drive up lane (doesn't seem safe). Yes - if you go out a way - there is a walkway - but if a car pulls up and parks in the spot next to the walkway - there is a good chance his fender will extend over the sidewalk - effectively blocking it. read more
